I still wonder why a lot of people burn their macaroni so badly. It makes no sense to me, like you said. It says add water, but most people just must think the water comes with the packaging? I really have no idea. I'm too afraid to talk to her, Kayla. You just- you wouldn't understand. I love her, but I'm afraid. It's a long story you probably don't want to hear. To be honest, she was never a good cook. I remember her burning macaroni in the microwave. Who forgets to add water? It says on the box to do so, so why not do it? You should talk to your mom, Alex. It’s the holidays and you should at least give her that. She’s still your family, you know. I kind of regret not switching classes because I made a complete fool out of myself. Then again, it was pretty fun hanging out with everyone and stuff. Totally! Our door is always open to you. And besides, family time nowadays is watching dumb sitcoms together. I barely even take part in it, so it’s no big deal.

And for all those years Christa claimed that she was the best cook in cooking class, yet she burned a turkey? She's crazy. I like ham too, but I didn't really do anything with my family. I don't even know where my mom was. She called me, but I couldn't get myself to answer my phone. Oh god, I totally forgot about that. You did sound like a cat dying, I remember. Are you sure? I don't wanna interrupt your family time.

Okay, Christa might have accidentally burnt the turkey, but other than that, it was a surprisingly smooth day. Besides, I don’t even like turkey. More of a honey ham type of girl. Oh, I remember choir! Let’s be honest, I was the worst one there. I vividly remember the director calling home asking if I would like to transfer to band the first month of school. I’m pretty sure my mom would be so glad to see you visit, if you ever do. I’ve always believed that she liked you the most out of all of my friends.

I can't imagine an average Christmas with your crazy family, c'mon Kayla. I remember when we did choir together in middle school. God, I suck at singing. You want me to come over? I don't know if your family would want an extra person around the house, you guys are already busy enough.

It was an average ol’ Christmas, but I thought it was nice. We got carolers for once, which was a nice surprise. Oh, I’ll make sure to tell her. She always asks about how you’re doing and I never quite know what to say. You should come over sometime, Alex. We miss seeing you too.
