I’ve gotten some criticism on mrm on the upload of Comeback and i’m considering taking it down. I didn't know the artist begged people not to re upload their work, I found out after, and I’m very sorry. I will keep the files on the drive for those who are interested. 

EDIT- I requested to have this work taken down. I will not upload Marion translations to mrm anymore.

JAPANESE SFX RESOURCE

Heres a resource I made last year collecting common sfx that aren't easy to find online. Alot of nsfw sfx in here. Another resource to use when finding japanese sfx is http://thejadednetwork.com/sfx/

ガチャ- (with a) slamming noise (door, telephone receiver); (with a) banging noise; (with a) clash (broken dish); (with a) clank; (with a) bang

バタン-bang; slam; thud; crash

ぱたぱた- pitter-patter (of footsteps)

スッ- quietly; gently; softly

ぢゅる- slurp-onomatopoeia

ぱちっ- snapping, represents a sharp, small sound.

ゴソ- with a rustling sound; (rummaging) around ちゃぷ splish-splash; glug-glug

ヴー- SFX for trying to speak through a gag

ぬる- smear/slimy

ビク- tremble/jump

すっぽんぽん- bare naked

ぐぐぐ- When you feel pressure or something. Originally coming from squeaky noise./ Onomatopoeia, mimic word when moving something heavy (pressing teeth together)

ぐい- suddenly and forcefully (e.g. jerk, poke, shove)  vigorously

トロ- sticky; syrupy; pulpy

ぴんぴん- lively; energetic; full of life/ vigorously/ penetrating; grating

ひくひく- twitch

きゅ- absorption; suction; attraction

クラアアアン- Kuraaaa~n- It’s an onomatopoeia used when a dog whines

ガク-body trembling; teeth clattering; something coming loose

じん- tingling sensation (e.g. in a leg); feeling numb; painful tingle; throbbing

ずるるるる- Draggg/slide

ゴリ- with force; hard; vigorously

ずぬ ずる- Push and pull

ぐちゃ- splot

きゅうん- choked up (with emotion); heart-wringing; momentary tightening of one's chest caused by powerful feelings (e.g. parting with a loved one)

ピョコ- for something suddenly appearing in an almost cutsey way, something bouncy and cheerful.

ぐぢゅ/ ぐち/ ゼク- crushed wet messy

��うううん- gloom

SCANLATION TUTORIAL

Since I’m broke and too lazy to pirate photoshop I used gimp (free program) for all of my work. I made these tutorials for a friend but I found them today and thought that they could be useful!

The font I’m using is Anime Ace 2.0

A really good guide is the Wayward Hearts' Doujin Survival Guide.

(Idk what happened to that document, maybe they updated it lol but I have an old version and that helped me alot, so kudos to them, find them on tumblr or on their discord server)

ALTERNATIVE DOUJINSHI SITES FOR HUNTING

There are many sites you can purchase doujins from. Here is a list of alternatives to Mandarake that I have never had issues with and recommend! (regarding the last post where I was scammed from Mandarake)

1. doujinrepublic.com (a bit pricy but you can request specific titles here!)

2. https://ecs.toranoana.jp/

3. https://www.melonbooks.co.jp/

4. https://booth.pm/en (specific artists will upload here)

5. Check Artists Pixiv descriptions for links etc.

6. Try Reverse image searching covers of titles you are interested in. (You can sometimes find single sites that offer these titles. Sometimes they are Chinese/Taiwanese and you might need a Taiwanese phone number or Chinese residence card ID. You can create fake numbers that work with verification internationally using apps similar to talkatone and bypass using the ID with https://www.myfakeinfo.com/nationalidno/get-china-citizenid.php)

NOTE:

Unfortunately, some of these sites are only available at shops or conventions in Japan. If you want to go doujinshi hunting, these places are good to start. You can use third party groups like https://www.whiterabbitexpress.com/ or others to buy in Japan and ship overseas. Also if you know anyone in Japan you can ask them to order and ship to your location.

Sites like doujin republic are expensive because international shipping is very expensive so they automatically attach an international shipping fee which cannot be removed even if you live in Japan. I recommend using this site only if there is no other place that sells these titles, especially because their request feature is so useful. Remember that standard doujinshi is usually 200¥-1000¥ in price and shipping internationally can be twice/ three times as much attached. 

I would offer help as a third party because I live in Japan, and I have sent packages to friends abroad of Doujinshi titles, and I would be willing to help others with a small fee of 500¥. However with Covid-19 I do not want shipping to become lost so I will offer this later to anyone who is interested.

MANDARAKE SCAM!!

Hey guys! I know its been a while since i logged in here. I just wanted to make a post to bring attention to a recent experience I had with the online mandrake store and make others weary of Mandarake.

SUMMARY: 

Mandrake took my money, sent out my purchase and returned without notice, asked for double payment of the shipping fee without any explanation for the shipping issue, did not send out the second payment link, and then cancelled my order, refusing a refund after several emails. I will not be getting my money back for a purchase I never received. 

I Purchased two Items for 1,100¥ in total (440¥ for the books +  660¥ in shipping) on Friday, April 17, 2020.

With all of my previous orders, the shipping usually took a few days. But after a few weeks on May 2, 2020, I heard no updates and became worried.

I called SAGAWA EXPRESS to hear why the tracking number did not work on their site and they claimed that the “driver had returned these items to the original seller.” They claimed they tried to get into contact with me on my phone because there was some sort of “problem” but I did not receive anything, so they decided to return my order without telling me to Mandarake. 

I emailed the following to Mandarake and this was their reply:

They claimed I had to pay for the shipping fee again with no explanation as to what happened and why I wasn't notified to the return. I was a bit frustrated but it was ok, I would just pay it again. After this email, I had not received the payment link and the next email came in May 20, 2020.

They cancelled my order suddenly without sending me a payment email. I had asked before if it was just possible to get a refund since I did not want to pay the shipping fee again for a problem on their side. So I replied to the email requesting a refund:

They did not reply, and at this point all I wanted was a refund so that is what I requested.

I do not think they will reply anymore and they essentially took my money without giving me my purchase or any explanation to what happened or etc. I’m assuming it had something to do with Covid-19 but I guess we will never know. 

I overall had a very bad experience and will not be ordering from them again. Please be weary when using Mandarake! I made a post for alternate sites to Mandarake here!

im taking things slowly, ive been uploading alot of raw scans on mrm if anyone has noticed.

I gave away the rest of my doujins to some friends so there wont be many more scans from me. 

You also may have noticed i took down my guccijotaro ig, i'm doing whats best for me so I can focus on school/ life.

This said, I still want to improve my language skills and be a part of this community, but im gonna be much slower and i will need a lot more help from the community.
