Algorithms 

A process of cutting oranges. 

1. Take one orange and wash.

2. Place the orange on the cutting board.

3. Cut it into smaller pieces using a knife. 

4. Place the orange onto a plate.

*Repeat again

5. Take the second orange and wash.

6. Place the orange on the cutting board.

7. Cut it into smaller pieces using a knife. 

8. Place the orange onto a plate.

*Lastly

9.  Take the last orange and wash.

10. Place the orange on the cutting board.

11. Cut it into smaller pieces using a knife. 

12. Place the orange onto a plate.

13. And I will have a plate of oranges. 

-Steps were repeated in the process. 

-Steps were repeated till the last orange was being cut and place on the plate.

-There are 4 steps in total in cutting the oranges.

Media and Psychology: Assignment One.

Group members: Ryan Lek, Alson Gan, Faris, Olivia Tang and Ong Hweejie. 

A topic regarding - “Perpetrating Rumors”.

Usually the first thing that comes to our mind is a negative rumor instead of a positive one.

To me, I think it's much more easier or faster to spread a negative rumor . And we can easily find any negative rumor to spread. However, a positive rumor is an assignment that we gotta spread around without hurting someone. Well, i must say: It's a big challenge. 

So what's exactly a rumor to me? A rumor is something that was created without any proof, evidence or even fake. It can not be call as a rumor if the news is true . However, rumor can be negative or a positive in a way. It depend on how you wanna spread it, or even how you want to see it in different perspective. 

Rumors may be easily spread, but it may not be easy to put an end to it. From a very small rumor, it can ended up to be a blow to somebody. So, it's not easy to handle it - rumor. 

In group: We had a hard time brainstorming. Thinking of all the possible positive rumor to spread. We tried to bomb almost everything - with logic or even sound real. But we ended up changing idea cos' we find it too ridiculous. For instant : Do you know if you put a textbook under you pillow to sleep, it'll helps you to memorize everything and you'll definitely pass your exams with flying colors? We find it hard to let the student try it, cos it doesn't sound persuasive at all. So, we had our plan changed. :D

We had a hard time finding a rumor that will be least obvious and fake to spread around. We know it'll never be easy to spread a perfect rumor, but at least we'll give it a try. And it's kind of "dangerous" cos' IXD10 students were doing the same assignment too, so we got to be very caution about it. 

We ended up choosing 2 rumors. And we managed to trick Miss Wen Lei for the last rumor. So, we're planning if we're going to use it, and how are we going to spread it without any bad consequences. (:

Personal View on Identity.

"Identity falls onto the category that mainly focused on the individual’s personalities, characteristics such as genders, race and most importantly appearances. Even numbers in our life can also represent self-identity such as address, I/c number and admin number.

Identity allows us to communicate to people through the Internet or cell phone. Identity allows us to think who we are, how do we place ourselves, and gives others an 'identification' of ourselves. An individual plays a big role in self-identity.

Other than real identity, with the more advance technology, there’re many people creating their secret avatar or rather virtual identity through the net. People who used virtual identity are someone who are lack of confident of themselves and by having a virtual identity allows them to boost their confident example people could easily edit their appearance to be more sociable online.   

Without the Internet you'd be able to have more face-to-face interaction with others. Also it enables others to find our true self and accept who we are.  Then, these also allow us to express ourselves without acting.

However, with the Internet, we’re ought to express ourselves freely or we can act infront of the computer screen.  People tend to make use of their virtual identity to make friends or even commit a crime using virtual identity.

In conclusion: I am happy for who I am because that's me. I don't see any reason for me to change my identity as it will not be me. Instead I will be very "fake" with the virtual identity. We live for who we are and we're not suppose to rely too much on the virtual identity which is just a temporary escape. And I preferred to be without internet as I am able to express myself freely. Though I might be lack of confident at the start, I believed that when the time goes by I’ll change and be able to express myself better. What’s more important is that we do not have to act or to hide our emotions and feelings behind the computer screen. "

Oh mommy, I feel so sick. Fever and flu seems to be loving me so much that even medicines won't help. No, I'm not going to see a doctor. No, no injection please! Over my sexy dead body man.
