I know I may sound like an ungrateful brat but I wasn’t looking forward to going to work every day.

I know you have good plans for me and I just hope our plans align.

Why I created Uneted?

There are three reasons why I created Uneted. 

1. Resource Sharing

The first reason is due to a personal experience. I had the idea of Uneted but I didn’t have the money or coding skills to make it happen. Then, I realized a lot of people may experience the same thing and the bigger issue is the unawareness of resource sharing. Due to information gap and resource disparity, we may not be able to know the resources that are available to us. What if we have a platform that allows us to find those resources and work with like-minded people to achieve big things together? Therefore, Uneted is created.

2. Passion

The second reason why I created Uneted is due to the fact that I want people to follow their passion. Passion is so valuable and yet underrated. Uneted is entirely based on passion. Uneted started off as my personal passion project, but then I decided to share it and it became a group passion project. Our mission statement is passion unites us, work for passion and passion makes happen.

This may change our idea of working. We were wired to believe that we work for money. But, today I want to challenge it and bring “work for passion” to life. Instead of worrying about being replaced by robots, why not give your passion a try? I know you have heard saying like “no one will be interested”, “there’s no market for it” and “it’s not possible, you don’t have this or that” etc. 

Essentially, what they are saying is uncertainty. Uncertain how the market will respond, uncertain how we can make it come true and uncertain that passion makes happen. Then we can show them the proof to convince them that it is possible. We can put our ideas on Uneted and people can like it if they think it has potential. This is a way to test the market. 

Passion is what we need to differentiate us from robots. Passion leads to creativity, inner drive and sense of purpose. That’s something that robots may not be able to 

3. World peace through collaboration

This may sound ambitious, but I think world peace is achieved when we all working together toward same common goals. Uneted can unite us and make positive impact on Earth.

It’s still 27 days away from 2023 (where I turn 27) and I can’t wait!

My first question for you is :

Have you taken actions?

2023 is all about actions, progress and dreams.

I have high hopes for you and I seriously think that 2023 is our year!

I don’t want to measure your success by numbers.

Rather, I will look at your attitude and actions.

Results don’t matter that much, but process does.

I hope you enjoyed your 2023 and you are one step closer to your dreams.

My first question for you is:

Do you feel content? Not necessarily happy per se, but like satisfied with life?

I know I’m pretty ambitious so I honestly hope you don’t feel discouraged even if we don’t meet the following goals:

-Made Forbes 30 Under 30

-Have my own shows/columns/biography

-Met Eileen Gu, Mindy Kaling and Sayaka Alice

Honestly I think if you’re content that’s already enough. 

Because we don’t really need more money, more success or more anything if we are happy with what we have and we feel that’s good enough.

Remember Karen, you are born to be great! If we don’t make Forbes 30 Under 30, we can still make 40 Under 40, there’s no rush.

Don’t think you have to rush to meet the deadline. But with this goal, you will definitely try much harder and enjoy the process more. 

Know that you don’t need to prove to anyone. Prove to yourself and probably God that you can make things come true! 

From now on, I will update you my progress and I will make sure I don’t waste a single day.

I’m sure you will thank me later.
