“So…?” Reid prompts, too anxious that he’ll misread the situation to make any assumption about Morgan’s intent.

“So we’re gonna go crazy with the décor, pretty boy! It’s our first Halloween living together. Very grown up and all, so let’s do something to keep it silly. I could be convinced not to be a Halloween Scrooge, given enough scary movie makeouts.”

“When you say ‘go crazy’, I hope you understand what that means.”

“I do,” Morgan says, grinning at him. “Also, know you’re not into it, but we’re going crazy at Christmas too. I’m gonna put up so many lights. Deal?”

There’s a scene in criminal minds that I still can’t stop thinking about. It’s when the team is on the jet after a case that reminded Spencer of Tobias Hankel and instead of acknowledging Spencer’s ptsd Morgan just calls his trauma response empathy as if what Spencer is going through is completely normal and essentially implying that Spencer didn’t or couldn’t feel empathy towards the victims of the cases. Like it makes me so mad, we’ve seen Spencer show empathy many times before and it served no other purpose besides making Spencer feel like he just needed to get used to the feeling, despite the fact that what he went through was traumatic and needed to be properly addressed
