Training montage went good! I have two Hoothoots and a geodude now, named Oracle, Quark and Pochi respectively. Gonna get a new pokemon, soon. There’s a lot more routes at the beginning than I remember there being.

Time for a training montage! I must make my beautiful pokemon Strong so that they can stay with me for as long as possible. Through the power of editing I’m gonna make it seem like I’m farther along in this Nuzlocke than I should be

My trainer ID ended in the number 6, which means that according to this random Nuzlocke guide I found, my starter will be Cyndaquil. Awesome, I named him Beret. I couldn’t do the e with the accent, but he’s still valid.

Set rules -

Must catch the first pokemon seen in any given route or area, and only that pokemon. No other pokemon in that area are viable.

All pokemon must be nicknamed

If a pokemon faints, it is dead. It must be released, or put in the PC box and never taken out.

House rules - 

Health restoration items are only usable outside of battle

Blacking out is a game over, no questions asked

Legendary pokemon are viable, but only one can be on the team at any given time.

If the first pokemon in the area is accidentally killed, that’s it. No second chances.

Shiny pokemon, if any are to appear, are exceptions to every other rule. They must be caught at all costs. Extra points for doing so.

Since I can’t get Sword or Shield yet I’m gonna backtrack like 4 generations and do a Pokemon HeartGold Nuzlocke because I can. None shall stop me, we’re going for gold.

normal brain: playing pokemon B/W as a nuzlocke or efficient playthrough proves N right because you turned your pokemon into tools for your own personal gain

galaxy brain: playing pokemon X/Y without using mega evolution proves Lysandre right, because you are presented with a scarcity scenario with the mega ring and you use your strength to selfishly decide that nobody should have or use one

universe brain: Resetting pokemon D/P/Pt proves Cyrus right because you have full control over the game’s universe and can freely remake it in your image on a whim.
