the x-m.en are a family & like any true family they reject the very concept of talking about anything at all until they absolutely have to ; once ororo & warren almost came to blows bc she thought he still hated her, but he was trying to ask her if she was okay.

anyways stormcaster is actually a really interesting weapon bc it started as being a hammer that loki created in order to trick the then-powerless ororo into succeeding thor as the god of thunder so that he could steal the throne of asgard —— his plan failed & ororo damaged the hammer before returning it to him & it presumably remained in loki’s possession since.
after the siege of asgard, thor finds the hammer, which has since been repaired, in the ruins of asgard while he was searching for artifacts that may have survived, & he decides to return it to her in wakanda. they find out that the hammer has had a spell cast on it by loki, which causes her to become possessed, & she fights thor with it as the goddess of thunder once more before he brings her to her senses & she ends up using mjolnir to completely destroy the hammer.
later, however, during her confrontation with uovo, ororo’s foster mother prays to the gods to give ororo divine power in order to be able to dfeat uovo, which causes stormcaster to reforge itself in the ruins of asgard & fly to wakanda to return to her, once more making her the goddess of thunder & giving her the ability to defeat uovo, after which the hammer crumbles back into dust since she no longer needs it.
the way that it goes from being something that loki can essentially use against her for being created by him, to coming to her aid when she needs it is just . . . interesting.
#stormcaster is interesting bc it started as a tool of loki's to manipulate her#but by the end the hammer responded to ororo to such an extent that even after being destroyed#when she really needed it somehow it managed to pull its pieces back together & go from asgard to kenya#in order to get back to her so she would have the power she needed to be able to defeat uovo#* ooc. / marble's basement smells like bad writing.#delete.
