What do Anishinaabeg men wear during the winter Solstice/Gichi Magoshe Giizhigan? Any references or descriptions would be greatly appreciated! I live outside of Canada and Google hasn't been very helpful. I've been trying to research the culture and language but it's difficult to find resources online.
I myself am not indigenous, but I do a lot of writing and one of the characters I write is Anishinaabe and I want to make him a respectful and accurate portrayal. I do not want to accidentally fall into stereotyping the culture or accidentally create a disrespectful representation due to a lack of information or potential misinformation from non-Anishinaabe sources.
Literally any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I'm not here to appropriate anybody's culture! I genuinely just want to create a character who isn't an offensive representation of the culture, as many native characters are. If this question is overstepping or anything then please let me know.

I would like some help with something!
I am currently making a comic in which the main character and two other prominent characters are Ojibwe/Anishinaabeg. I am not Ojibwe/Anishinaabeg and I want to represent the characters in a way which does not accidentally fall into or promote offensive stereotypes, so I'd like some advice from people who know more about the culture than me.
I'm mostly asking in relation to their character designs, all three characters are proud of their heritage and I feel like it fits their personalities to show it in their designs. I'd like to know what would be stereotypical/offensive to incorporate in their designs and what wouldn't be.
For example, would it be offensive to incorporate the flowers that the characters are associated with into their designs (example: main character is associated with lavender)? Would it be offensive to incorporate aspects of their animal motifs (context: every character in the story regardless of race/culture has an animal motif that relates to their story/personalities. The main character's motif is a black bear because it fits his themes of parenthood).
The story takes place between 1895 - 1898 if that helps at all.
This is a genuine question and I do not mean any offence by anything in this post. I want to be respectful when representing a culture I am not a part of.
