Hello! I have noticed you have a "Nebula!Sans" and would love to know more about the backstory and well the verse itself that this Sans comes from, if you may :)

Hi there!! Thank you so much for asking! I sadly never developed it much since i focused first on Evasiontale and entered the fnaf fandom before i could write something about it, but I'll type what i remember below!

Nebulatale AU Backstory:

The monsters in this AU are an alien species to humans that are made of space dust and feed on atoms. They entablished a civilication in a solar system from Andromeda, being each planet like the different parts of the canon underground. They can travel through space just fine and dont need oxygen to breathe (since they just dont do so). Monsters have really advanced technology but most of it is secretly developed in the royal labs so most of monsters don't know about it (for example, those on the royal labs know about the alternate universes). They're a lot more advanced than humans in everyday life nonetheless. They can get sick but not from your regular earth diseases, they do need to sleep and aren't affected by temperature. Monsters gain clothing after the first human contact, because they view it as a pretty way to decorate themselves.

Finally, monsters reproduce by something similar to a "soul mitosis" that makes the original soul to weaken and they do age and die, but this process is reeeeally slow.

Now with the story:

Some time in the future humans reached the technology required to travel out our solar system without time and resources complications. After a couple of tries they slowly started to explore another galaxies, and eventualy found what they called the monster civilization. The first contact was in a sectret mission and was somewhat peaceful, humans and monsters sharing eachother's culture, language and knowledge. The humans in those crews settled down with the monsters a couple of generations forming strong bonds between humanity and monsterkind, monitored by the earth, until humans started having fights over power and interests. It got to a point when they got into physical disputes and humans deemed monsters as a threat, they retreated from the mission and got sent back to earth. The route in which the monsters were found was banned and those who were still akin to them were accused as having some mental condition and thus mantaining the existence of monsterkind on the general population as a secret and a conspiracy theory.

Decades later the firsts steps of humanity exodus started. They embarked various inniciatives with families, one of them being Chara's family. Sadly, their parents and various other crew members got infected by bacteria and fell seriously ill in the ship. The captain managed to land in the nearest planet posible, surviving off the stored oxigen and food until eventually dying from disease. Chara was found by the nearby monsters and was brought to Toriel, who took care of them like in regular canon until chara passed away. Asriel, in an attempt to bring them back to life absorbed their soul, but the determination was too much for a monster to handle and 'died' too (he turns into a flower like in canon bla bla). After this toriel and asgore get divorced due to asgore not wanting to risk any more human contact again, considering taking chara in a mistake itself.

The rest of canon fallen humans do exist here, but rather than new humans going to monster civilization are instead children from the first contact that never returned to earth and stayed with them (so, prior to Chara).

Frisk ended up with the monsters after activating an old ship with the autopilot on the monster's solar system. After barely surviving with the food they encountered there Frisk gets taken care of by Toriel and starts their journey to find a way back home.

In the genocide route Frisk ends up dying from starvation and running out of oxygen. In the pacifist route you get to choose if you want to stay with the monsters or not, and in the neutral route you end up being killed for murdering monsters.

And if you're wondering, Asgore did set up the royal guard just in case the humans returned, and Flowey does stop you like in canon because the souls of the other humans still remain being taken care of by Asgore, because he does miss the first humans that were kind to them and is trying to bring them back.

Nebula! Sans funfacts:

• Since monsters dont have a concept of gender, when Sans learnt about it star picked the most accurate description of what star thought was their gender (a xenogender)

● Sans does not kill Frisk because star has the Toriel promise like in canon

● The heart locket of their desing is actually a gift from Toriel and a reminder of star's promise

● It's the one to kill you if you murder toriel in the neutral route, no regrets whatsoever. It'll make it seem an accident to Papyrus and will die thinking it was one. If you murder any other monster it will be Undyne who kills you (except papyrus, if you kill him sans will kill you like in toriel). All of this does not apply in the genocide route since you end up being stronger and killing everyone.
