I've come to the conclusion that lunar magick is a lot more complicated than I first thought but also interesting. I don't think I will be using the full moon/lunar eclipse's energy tonight in my craft until I feel more confident in my knowledge of the subject to make sure I am using the right correspondences. I instead want to wish everyone else good luck in their practices and spell casting tonight while I continue my research. :)

Hi Witchblr, I have a question about the upcoming full moon. I was going to use this opportunity to cleanse my tarot deck, crystals, and make some moon water for protection but i've just learned that there will be a lunar eclipse happening on the same night. Is it still okay for me to cleanse and charge for protection or will the eclipse affect things?

Hi there, I had a question about how to cleanse my tarot deck if anyone could help please?
I've been working with my new tarot deck and have spent some time reading up on the meanings behind each card to get more familiar with it. The other day I did a reading where I asked the deck to introduce itself and it produced the Father of Cups as the best card that represented itself. I have read that Cups are generally feminine cards as they represent water and more emotion, so I was wondering if it would be appropriate to cleanse my deck with moonlight (feminine energy) rather than sunlight (masculine energy) despite a Father being a masculine figure? I know there is a full moon coming up and wanted to take advantage of it as much as possible. :)

✨Yes/No Tarot tips✨
Tumblr media
Here are some ideas to help you answer those pesky Yes/No questions using Tarot. These are just ways that I’ve found work for me and Yes/No card interpretations that have always given me the answers I seek. Sometimes, this varies from reader to reader, so use this as a springboard to find out what works for you!
If you pull a Yes card in reverse, it could indicate a “Yes, BUT…” or a “Yes, IF…”. You’ll need to understand what each card means in reverse to determine the caveat for a reversed Yes card.
Pay attention to the positive meanings for each No card. Sometimes, things aren’t as clear cut as a simple No. Sometimes, it becomes a “No, but…” and gives you clues about how you can change your No into a Yes.
If you pull a Maybe card, you can often get a feel for your options either way by drawing additional cards to go on either side. For example: Two of Swords is a Maybe card and often represents a difficult choice between two options. You can draw two cards to set on either side of this card that represent the two choices and their pros and cons.
YES
Major Arcana: Fool, Magician, High Priestess, Emperor, Empress, Lovers, Chariot, Strength, Hermit, Star, Sun, Judgement, World
Cups: Ace, two, three, six, nine, ten, page, knight, queen, king
Pentacles: Ace, three, six, eight, nine, ten, page, knight, queen, king
Swords: Ace, page, knight
Wands: Ace, two, three, four, six, eight, page, knight, queen, king
NO
Major Arcana: Death, Devil, Tower, Moon
Cups: Five, eight
Pentacles: Four, five
Swords: Three, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten
Wands: Five, seven, ten
MAYBE
Major Arcana: Hierophant, Justice, Hanged Man, Wheel of Fortune, Temperance
Cups: Four, seven
Pentacles: Two, seven
Swords: Two, four, queen, king
Wands: Nine

♡ Salt ♡
Now there are different kinds of salt you can use in your craft, but that begs the question: what kind should I use? So I decided to create this post so you can refer it to, write this in your grimoire or BOS, for when you need to include salt in a spell but don’t know what kind to use.
Tumblr media
Table Salt
Table salt is the least expensive of all other salt, as well as the most basic. Typically table salt is used home cleansings and purification. It can also be used for protection circles. if it is the only kind you have, it can be used to replace other salts depending on the intent.
Tumblr media
Sea Salt
Sea salt is made by evaporting salt water, and thus contains minerals like potassium, iron, copper, silicon, and more. The lighter the salt, the lighter amount of minerals. Sea salt being related to the sea, is favored by those who prefer to use the sea/ocean in their magick. Sea salt is best for cleansing baths and purification. Primarily when it is emotional purification which needs to be done.
Tumblr media
Himalayan Pink Salt
Himalayan pink salt is known for it’s color, a lovely soft shade of pink. It is connected to Earth, and specifically great for astral projection and spirit work. When himalyan pink salt is out, it absorbs psychic energy however when burned/heated it releases that energy. This can be great for providing a boost for a spell, or your own power in general.
Tumblr media
Celtic Sea Salt
Celtic sea salt is known for being popularized in France, and has a light grey color in comparision to other salts. Due to the low amount of sodium in celtic sea salt, it considered to best for kitchen witchcraft.
Tumblr media
Black Salt
Black salt as known for it’s name is black, and can be created when salt is mixed with ash or by being mixed with cocount ash. When it is mixed with coconut ash, this allowed it to be edible, and thus used for kitchen witchcraft. However, when it is not edible it is best used for protection against negativity.

🌿Healing salts🌿
Salt is very purifying, cleansing, and healing, combine it with some various healing plants and you’ve got amazing healing salts for baths, cooking, aromatherapy, and spells. It’s also a great way to preserve your herbs!
🌿 Here’s what you need:
-Salt (regular sea salt is fine but Himalayan or Celtic salt correspond more with healing in my opinion)
-fresh healing herbs/plants of your choice (can be dried but I’ve had better results with fresh)
-mortor and pestle
-somewhere to store it
🌿Here’s some recommended healing herbs/plants:
Basil- protection, prosperity, happiness // anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea, appetite stimulator
thyme- healing, sleep, soothing // soothes respitory system, antiseptic, decongestant
peppermint- energy, health, vitality // nausea &vomiting, IBS, bloating
garlic- protection, banishment, healing // anti-bacterial, anti-viral, reduces infection
lemon peel- cleansing, purifying, joy // antioxidants, immune boost, kills germs
sage- protection, cleansing, wisdom // cough, antibacterial, soothes inflammation
oregano- luck, health, family // anti-virus, allergy relief, anti-inflammatory
orange peel- optimism, happiness, strength // immune boost, vitamins, antioxidants
lemon balm- healing, psychic abilities, uplifting // anti-anxiety, sleep, indigestion
parsley- calming, protection, passion // energy, circulation, digestion
rosemary- cleansing, divination, love// soothes sore muscles, soothes cough, improves memory
cinnamon- comfort, love, protection // anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, kills germs
🌿How to make it:
-Add a small handful of salt and the herb or herbs of your choice in your mortor and pestle (how much you use depends on the size of your mortor and pestle and how strong you want the salts to be)
-Grind them up until they’re mixed well and infused, the salt will most likely change color.(it’s easier to tell with fresh plants, with dried plants it’ll be more of a powder when it’s done). I like to use this time to focus on the intent!
-Pour it into an airtight container and you’re done, enjoy in a bath, in food, in spells, scrubs etc.
** please do research before consuming any herbs or plants you aren’t familiar with, especially if you’re pregnant or on medication.
