why did you quit?

Ok, there’s a lot of factors here so I’ll tell the full story...

So, I (mod steph) was invited to mod this blog bc in my younger days I submitted a fuckton of posts to this blog and then when the original mod (I’ll refer to them as mod grouch bc I doubt they want their real name out there) felt they had too much on their plate they invited me to be a mod and I accepted. And over time I grew very cynical about Hamilton. I realized it’s really kinda fucked (for reasons we explained a while ago.) and I really didn’t wanna post about Hamilton, and then mod grouch went AWOL and I was basically the only mod.

So what are you to do when you have a 40,000 follower blog expecting posts about something you hate. Well I decided to rebrand the blog into a musical that I did like, Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. so I added a good friend of mine to post about great comet (mod worm/Pierre) (and also added a mod to still post about Hamilton, mod lime)

We lost like 5,000 followers in that change. I also added a little kid (mod anatole) because they made a few really popular great comet posts and I figured they could be of some use. And we had some fun for a bit, but then people got a little bold with their asks, and sent some stuff that kinda creeped us out, like sending nsfw asks even though every mod was a minor, I mean mod Anatole was fucking 12 at that time (@that one person who said “you have to be 13 to be on tumblr so gtfo with that ‘don’t send nsfw’ shit” go perish, you were still sending weirdly sexual to 14-16 year olds you fucking freak)

After we received a specific creepy ask that really freaked us out, I asked all the mods if they would be cool with moving the blog and keeping this up as an archive. They agreed, so we did exactly that. We made “hamiltonandgreatcomettexting” and we linked it here, we had a steady follower rate. BUT THEN...

MOD GROUCH CAME BACK AND STARTED MAKING NEW POSTS ON THE ARCHIVE. Yes, like a phoenix rising from ash, mod grouch came back and started making actual posts. After a conversation with him we decided to split up the blogs. Me, mod worm and mod Anatole would form “greatcomettexting” and Mod Lime and Mod Grouch would stick with “hamiltontexting”

While greatcomettexting was making regular posts hamiltontexting slowed on making posts. (I actually spoke to mod lime when it was decided to finally kill off hamiltontexting and they said they forgot the password and kinda just forgot they were a mod. which is the funniest thing ever.)

Ok here’s where my memory gets a little hazy but, what I remember is Mod Grouch made a post essentially saying the blog is mostly dead. I took this as an opportunity to make fun of all the weird and dumb asks in the inbox before logging off for good. Or, I guess for months until now...

There’s the full story, if you don’t know what happened to greatcomettexting, the simplified version of that story is: We got tired of running it after like 3 months, and we got really jaded because we started hating the blog and we just ran it into the ground.

Both greatcomettexting and hamiltontexting had a great run but let me tell you, when you don’t have thousands of people sending you weird shit... life is like, way better.

Help Remove A Pedo Day!

Hey everyone, I know it's not related to the blog or anything, but I figured I'd use the reach I have to spread the news about -> https://map-face.tumblr.com/ this piece of human filth! He is a pedo, sorry a "MAP" which stands for Majorly Assholish Pedophilicsicko! He has many videos and photos of obviously underaged girls in bikinis or very very scantily clad forms, with suggestive messages. Alongside this, he of course has loads of porn and wacky disgusting garbage, which is almost all loaded with inferred pedophelic thoughts/messages. As well as this, @anti-pedo-patrol has some great screenshots of him actually refusing to follow multiple minors who have asked him to leave them alone! As all the sane people here know, pedos and "maps" are completely disgusting and intolerable, so if you'd like to go block this guy before he catches your children with their pants down, I'd go ahead! Never know what sick freak might be using family beach photos featuring 8 year olds to fuel his sick fantasies.
