Honestly, he hated admitting that this was a disease, and not just how he was born. He, too- had been injured by a werewolf, and the plague had spread to him. He barely survived the encounter. Of course, Holly and Jotaro knew nothing of this grisly attack. He’d kept it from them to protect them. 

“I know, Jotaro. I’m.. simply trying to cheer you up, that’s all. It’s the least I can do, you realize that, correct? I try my best..” He said softly, finishing the thought in his head. 

Though, even my best is never good enough.

He barely acknowledged the touch to his shoulder, only glancing at it from the corner of his eyes as the brim of his hat tilted downwards, hiding his eyes from view. He hated feeling this way towards Joseph, but that scratch had been caused by him. Though he wouldn’t usually waste time on matters like this when there was even bigger problems to deal with, Jotaro simply couldn’t let it go. There was a lot of anger inside of him, but there was another feeling mixed within it, a feeling he definitely wasn’t open to sharing.

“Don’t try and sugarcoat it, old man,” He replied with a growl, taking out a cigarette and lighting it. “…No disease is pretty. Especially one like this.”

A simple sigh left the brunette’s lips as he put a hand on his grandson’s shoulder, gripping it semi-tightly. He felt bad, one because he was the reason that Jotaro had turned. Holly had told them at a later point that if Joseph hadn’t licked the wound, Jotaro would still be human. But even more so, he was angry at himself for scratching him in the first place. If he hadn’t lashed out- if he hadn’t had such a reactive emotional imbalance..

“It’ll get better in time, I promise you. Being a werewolf certainly isn’t pretty- but one day, you will learn to see the beauty within the pain.”

“I know that,” He snapped, shooting a glare towards his grandfather. He had hoped Joseph didn’t catch the mutter underneath his breath about his recent problems. Jotaro would deny it until the end of time, and yet the evidence was screaming right at him. The scratch at his arm was proof that he was no longer human. But, a werewolf was the last thing he ever wanted to be. Regardless, the salt was still strong with this one.

“I don’t need you reminding me every five seconds.”

His tone was bold, yet held the slightest of caution. He wasn’t a fan of people being rude, even if it was inadvertent. After all, he was rather prone to.. aggressive outbursts, so he’d rather avoid them and get his mind off of it with sarcasm instead.

Okay, so.. I’ve got some stuff I wanna say. All of it is good. It’s already a day into New Years and I feel honestly and truly loved. That’s a big rarity for me, and I thank all of my closest friends. I have some stuff to say about y’all.

@dioisms; I know we’ve only just met not long ago, but you’re a sweetheart and a half. You’ve been for me through some rough stuff lately, and I can’t thank you enough. Besides, you’re beautiful and affectionate, and very wise and smart. Stay strong, Spud.

@vitaedator; You’re possibly the closest friend I have. You’ve always been there, even though you saw my true colors. Despite everything I’ve done, you’ve managed to beat sense into my head and help me through. You’ve been kind, and I truly admire and respect you. I’ll do my best to stay by your side and treat you with all due respect.

@hxtode; Honestly? You’re a fucking sweetheart. You’re like a sister to me, and despite our differences? At the end of the day, I can always joke and laugh with you. Please, stay strong. You can do this.

@noriiakis || @bxbyfaced; Crimson, you’re so sweet. Albeit shy and timid when we first met, we’ve become pretty close. I love it when we play Animal Crossing together, and plot stupid stuff for roleplay. You’re a sweetheart and yeah- your room is total aesthetic material. Stay strong, sweetie.

@thebestshxt; Pat, you’re so nice. I know we don’t talk often, but we have so many great threads! You’re a good friend and I honestly hope we talk more this year. That way, we can become good friends!
