Eulipotyphla

🍪 ─ gemeinsam Zuckerplätzchen mit Ostermotiven backen

Haley betrat die Küche mit der Eleganz eines Mädchens, das es gewohnt war, in makellosem Licht zu stehen, selbst wenn es nur durch ein sonnendurchflutetes Fenster in Marseille fiel. Sie konnte einfach nicht anders. Ihre goldene Sonnenbrille schob sie sich ins wellige, blonde Haar, dann blieb sie stehen. Ihre babyblauen Augen glitten über das Chaos auf dem Küchentisch, verstreute Streusel, Glasurtuben, Mehlwolken in der Luft. Kurz verzog sie das Gesicht. „Das ist ja ein Zuckerkrieg, kein Backtag“, murmelte sie mit einem leisen Lachen und bewegte sich vorsichtig durch das Durcheinander, als würde sie befürchten, ihre High Heels könnten in rosa Glasur stecken bleiben.

Mit einem kleinen Seufzer streifte Haley sich ihren goldenen Armreif vom Handgelenk, der, den ihr Emily vor Jahren in einem Anflug von sentimentaler Schwesterlichkeit geschenkt hatte, und legte ihn behutsam auf die Anrichte. Dann beugte sie sich leicht über den bereits ausgerollten Teig, musterte ihn mit kritischem Blick und schürzte die Lippen. „Ich dachte, du hättest alles vorbereitet, Kaska“, sagte sie, schmollte demonstrativ und ließ dabei die Unterlippe hervortreten, wie sie es früher als Teenager in Pelican Town getan hatte, wenn Emily Nein gesagt hatte. Doch Kaska warf ihr nur ein entschuldigendes Lächeln zu, was sie gar nicht böse auf ihre Freundin sein ließ.

Seufzend griff sie nach einer der Hasenformen, klein, glänzend, kitschig, genau wie sie es mochte, drehte sie prüfend zwischen den Fingern und ließ sie schließlich mit einem entschlossenen Klack in den Teig sinken. „Wenn ich mir schon die Hände schmutzig mache, will ich wenigstens, dass mein Hase aussieht wie aus einem Magazin. Das müssen einfach die süßesten Hasen überhaupt werden!“ Sie zog die Form heraus, betrachtete den ausgeschnittenen Teig kritisch, dann schnappte sie sich eine rosafarbene Glasurtube und begann mit der Dekoration. Zuerst die Ohren, dann eine zarte Linie am Bauch, dann kleine Zuckerperlen entlang der Pfoten. Voller Stolz hielt sie Kaska dann den Hasen unter die Nase, während diese noch stark konzentriert an ihrem eigenen failte. "Tadaaa!"
