Ansel Adams reflection
He showed us the wilderness of nature. In his camera, the nature is elusive, mysterious, but charming. I think he respect the nature, giving bovine charscters to the mountains, rivers, and animals. I think that is one of the reason why he choosed American west- the place with the inherent wilderness.

Self directed#1 Reflection
I am not a fashion person, so only the pictures of the other exchange student in my host family was taken by design, other photos were all just some fashion moment I caught in my life which might be not that high digital.
In my assignment, I try to use different color effects on the same picture in order to produce different feelings. I thought is was pretty fun. Thanks to my Italian handsome brother, I can freely change the expression. I also found that black-and-white photo is a very amazing thing. It not only produces a nature sense of mysterious and long-time, but also makes viewers naturally focus on the pose and the thing itself when no color catches the attention of them.
Last thing I want to say is that male and female are so different when it comes to fashion. The last two pictures are not very good, but these are actually everything I can find in my phone something related to girls’ fashion.

Self-Directed 8 reflection
I don’t want to give names to pictures, because names can easily mislead people to think a picture in a designed way. The pictures are just about natures rather than social problems. People should freely think what the picture is. The first 5 pictures in 8-1 were taken on Goleta beach near the coal oil point. I took them when I walk along the seaside and suddenly found an unknown thing standing at the seaside. It is very rusty yet facing the west steadily, witnessing everything happened there and telling quiet stories to passerby. So I just put it in the picture and create some good pieces. Then at the same place, I took the pictures of oily beach and other 2 pictures. In these pictures, I like the first picture most, because the color is so vivid, while the dynamic dog greatly contrasts the static metal thing.
The sixth photo was taken in Suzhou, not very far from Hangzhou. Suzhou gathered many very famous businessman of ancient China, producing numerous amazing personal parks or yards(at that time). The picture was a corner of one of the yards. It is the extreme expression of personal richness at that time. Even some small places show the treasury of a family.
The last 4 pictures are taken in Tibet, which was called by Chinese as the closest place to the paradise. Tibet’s view is very Unique as you really can feel the sky is nearer to you. Locating in the inner land and at high altitude, the air is very dry, making the sky and cloud very distinguishable which is really amazing. Besides, the mountains always have a “white hat” considering the altitude. All in all the views there is really amazing.

The core thing of ads is catching one or few characters, and highlight it or them. If a ads can manage to do so, then the ads is successful. Besides, works after shooting sometimes is more important. Ads don't need to be 100% real. It's just a propaganda based on products.
