I have an exam in 3 days. I have been solving exercises from past exams and the structure is always the same. Now I think I'm going to review the contents of the subject in detail.

17 COMMANDMENTS OF GOOD STUDY
📑 Always complete tasks without delaying them. Then you don't have to compose another "I forgot my notebook at home."
📑 Write down not only what you need. Sign explanations for incomprehensible words: year, name, personality. Firstly, it is interesting, and secondly, it will help in tests.
📑 Plan time, then you can catch everything. Allocate 15-20 minutes for one subject. The rest of the time, study and read to yourself. If that doesn't work, then plan your day.
📑 Do not be afraid to ask what you do not understand, this is normal. Firstly, you will understand everything after the explanation, and secondly, the teacher will find out what is interesting to you.
📑 Do not be afraid of the tests, these are the same tasks. Don't panic, just calm down and pull yourself together.
📑 Make cheat sheets so you can remember the most important things. Even if you know everything, a piece of paper in your pocket will give you more confidence.
📑 Go to the blackboard if you don't understand something. The teacher will not overwhelm you, and you will be able to better understand the topic.
📑Learn not for the sake of grades, but for the sake of knowledge.
📑Do not get discouraged by poor grades and take them as an incentive to move forward.
📑 Learn where you like: noise at home - go to a cafe, uncomfortable at the table - the bed and the floor are at your disposal.
📑 Get inspired by different pictures of diaries, notes and desktops - you will want to learn.
📑 Use stickers for notes, markers, paint, draw, make your notes so that you want to open them every day.
📑 Know how to choose the main thing in the text, so as not to teach thoughtlessly. To do this, use cards or stickers: this way you can instantly repeat the whole topic.
📑 Start with difficult subjects and end with easy ones.
📑 You can't get away from cheating. Do not rewrite thoughtlessly, but try to delve into the topic, but never give anyone your essays and home. control.
📑 Remember to get enough sleep to be ready for the next day in the morning. And if you don't get enough sleep, then eat chocolate: instantly lifts your spirits.
📑 Do not skip classes just like that, you can only be absent for a reason.

it takes years to develop your craft. do not romanticize the idea of an ‘overnight success’. be a student. grow organically. get really good. hate your work. start over. find new ways to express the same ideas. the student becomes the master. your time will come.

This is a reminder as a lot of us either are already started back in school/college or are about to be,
You didn't waste your holidays.
You. Did. Not. Waste. Your. Holidays.
Holidays from school are for resting.
If you didn't end up writing the novel or going on the road trip or reading a hundred books or whatever else you had planned that's okay.
This time is needed to take a break and let your mind rest and wring out so it's ready to soak up new information in the next term.
You did exactly what you were meant to do this summer.
Took a break.

since a lot of people are starting school right about now, i just wanted to leave this here to remind myself and others that we don't exist for maximum productivity, don't feel the need to optimize every part of your day. the quickest, most efficient way isn't the most efficient if it drains you physically or mentally. a lot of us are coming back from a rough year and a half, and i don't blame you for making things as easy as possible as you ease into the new semester. love y'all

Hey everyone! Long time no post but call me Hannah RDH, BSDH! It’s been a long time coming but I have finally earned my dental hygiene degree from my dream school, with honors, finished all of my board exams, and have a wonderful full time job nearby. I start my Masters of Health Sciences degree in January so I can eventually teach at the university level for dental hygiene. Anything is possible if you work for it, if it’s a priority you’ll make it work, and don’t throw away your shots.
