I had no idea what a palmetto bug was (even though I do live in the South), so I looked it up and I can confirm that one: I actually do know what they are now that I've seen the images, and two: they are fucking horrifying. They are one of two critters I do not fuck with because they freak me out that badly.

I 10000% agree that post fall Hannibal would absolutely cry if one of those demon spawn chased him.

bodyguard will au that takes place during Hannibal Rising. will is hired help assigned to Hannibal by Count Lecter, and gets seperated from the main hannifam by some means or another ; picked up by Lady Murasaki and reunited with Hannibal when he's brought in from the orphanage / is sent to the orphanage personally by Robert Lecter to pick up Hanni. hannibal, seeing a member of his family that truly made it through the war, jumps into his arms almost immediately. when they're safe on the road to Lady Murasaki's, maybe Will asks where Mischa is-- and he begins to cry...

....fast forward like ten, fifteen years, and will has become more or less Hannibal's private assassin; he could never deny the boy anything, after all, and it was his duty to protect Hannibal from everything-- even if he must protect Hannibal from Hannibal; protect Hannibal from becoming a murderer like the men who killed Mischa. But Hannibal isn't a boy anymore, and is doing his best to convince Will of it, probably.

(Lots of "“If I have to save you from yourself, I’ll do that too.” " , etc. And Will having to look away whilst his newly-adult and oh shit he's hot young charge with NO boundaries whatsoever walks around naked with him in the room-- "What's the matter? If you don’t know how dark Hannibal can be, please don’t interact with the show. If you don’t want to hear about incest, murders, cannibalism ( wow weird that I have to even say this) , or other dark themes you don’t belong here in the fandom.

i do think will graham is a good cook. he’s just not a fancy cook. he makes nice, homemade meals, that warm the soul. he feeds hannibal a lot, a lot more than he expects post fall, because hannibal probably becomes so enamored with will’s homey meals. they make him feel loved in a way other food hasn’t.

I'm thinking of doing some cracky oneshots involving supernatural hijinks like witches curses and all that. Sort of like a crossover but not really? Like the witches function like witches from the CW's Supernatural, and it's normalized and the FBI has specialists trained to find counter curses and track down witches to undo curses and bring them to legal justice instead of just killing them, that is if a hunter doesn't find them first.

Which ones do you think would be funny?
