i vow to you | tina x James
To say that this was the happiest day of James Hook’s life was an understatement—like calling the ocean “a bit wet” or the stars “kind of bright.”
He stood at the altar, hands steady but heart hammering in his chest like a drum echoing through mountains. He hadn’t peeked when Tina entered his room earlier, no matter how badly he’d wanted to.His friends had warned him: "It’s bad luck before the wedding." And honestly? He didn’t believe in all that... but just this once, he wasn’t about to take any chances.
Now, as the doors opened and soft music rose through the room, James forgot to breathe. Tina stepped into the space like light breaking through cloud cover—sudden, soft, stunning. She’d always been beautiful. That wasn’t new. But now, something about her looked almost unreal. She looked like she belonged to another world. Like she’d just walked out of a picture book.
Like a fairy princess.
And he—well, he guessed he’d be her knight. A little rough around the edges, but absolutely devoted.
She reached him, and he noticed her hands trembling. Without a word, he took them gently in his own and ran his thumb across her skin, slow and steady. It was the kind of gesture that didn’t need words.
They were in this together.
Always had been.
The officiant gave a nod. It was time.
James took a quiet breath—his eyes on Tina and nothing else—and began:
Thy smile, a breeze from oceans deep, That lulls my restless heart to sleep. No mortal charm, no fleeting grace— But magic wrought upon thy face.
Thou art the star that stilled my tide, My soul’s true north, my radiant guide. I take thy hand through shadow and flame, Through battles lost and battles claimed.
In joy and sorrow, dusk and dawn, Through kingdoms fallen and newly born— Thy burdens I shall gladly bear, Thy cup o’erflow with love and care.
With wine I’ll warm thy weary bones, With whispered light 'mid ancient stones. This candle, lit in twilight’s glow, Shall lead thee where no fear shall go.
And with this ring, of starlit gold, I bind my heart, forever bold. O Lady fair, O fire divine— By earth and sky, wilt thou be mine?
Through trials deep, we both have trod, By fate and fire, by will and God. Yet never once did I forget, That in thy eyes, no pain breeds regret.
Through mortal life and death’s dark door, My oath remains forevermore. For thou art love, thou art my breath— My soul’s own mate, beyond all death.
I take thy hand—not as the dead, Nor as the living, torn and led— But as the one who, stars among, Shall walk with thee when time is sung.
Though realms may fall, and moons may fade, Though gods may sleep 'neath willow shade, Still shall my vow remain as true As ancient runes in skies of blue.
For even when I cannot hold Thy form so dear, so brave, so bold— Still will I guard thee, night and day, And love thee past the end of age.
So let the Fates weave as they will— My love shall find thee, constant still. And death shall yield, its power undone— For thou and I, beloved, are one.
James took a breath as the last word left his lips. The world hadn’t stopped turning, not really—but it felt like it had. Just for a moment. He looked at Tina then, not just as his bride, but as the woman who had become his home, his heart, and his future.
A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips, and there was a curious spark in his eyes—part wonder, part awe.
And now, it was her turn. He waited, eyes locked with hers, eager to hear the words she had been holding in her heart.

thank you | open starter
James stood at the edge of the ceremony space, heart ticking steadily beneath his chest as he waited for the moment he would walk down the aisle. Each breath felt deliberate, like his body knew this was no ordinary day—this was the day everything changed. The sky above was a soft, forgiving blue, the kind that seemed to bless the day in its own quiet way. The chairs were filling with guests, all faces he recognized from different corners of his life—friends, mentors, people who had become a kind of chosen family.
His fingers brushed over the edge of his sleeve as he adjusted his cufflinks, more out of habit than necessity. There was still time. The music hadn’t started yet, the soft hum of conversation still drifting like smoke across the air. Somewhere behind the scenes, she was getting ready—his bride. The thought alone filled him with a warmth that settled low in his chest and spread outward. she had visited him prior, the nervous mess that she was, they couldn't be gone without the other soon, which filled James with a joy he couldn't put into words.
Even with his heart beating a little faster, James found the grace to step toward a few guests who had arrived early and stood near the back. He didn’t want to seem too closed off, even though every part of him was tuned into the anticipation of seeing her.
“Thank you for coming,” he said with a gentle nod, offering a small smile. His voice was soft, but grounded, carrying a quiet sincerity that spoke more than just the words.

James could hear the soft ruffle of tulle as she entered the room, the delicate whisper of fabric brushing against the ground drawing his attention. That sound alone sent his mind spiraling into a daydream, imagining what she might look like in her wedding dress—something timeless, maybe with lace around the sleeves, something bold that still whispered softness, just like her. Where Tina was daring and unafraid to challenge expectations, a natural rule-breaker in all the ways that made his heart beat harder, James had always been the one with a cautious grip on tradition. He didn’t want to tempt fate, not when it came to their marriage. He believed in the little things—first looks at the altar, lucky pennies, and the quiet promise that following the rules might just keep misfortune at bay.
Her footsteps approached, and then he drew a tomboyish smirk, the one that always threatened to undo her. “God, I fancy you so much it’s not even funny…”
James laughed softly, warmth blooming in his chest. “Guess I’ll have to thank Ella later for designing it,” he murmured, his voice low, the words barely escaping his lips as she moved closer. He could feel the heat of her presence now, could almost taste her in the air. Every inch between them felt electric, drawn tighter with every second. He anticipated her touch—knew exactly how it would feel—and it was like standing on the edge of a cliff, waiting for gravity to finally pull him in. And then she hugged him, and everything felt right.
His voice faltered only briefly as emotion clutched at his throat, but he spoke through it, his words thick with love and something softer—hope.
“I miss you too, love. But we’ll see each other on the other side,” he said, his hand resting gently over his heart. “We’ll be together forever. Never forget that—you hold my heart, and I’ll protect yours.”
Tumblr media
Tina listened carefully at the door, crossing her fingers that James would let her in. She knew it was supposed to be against the rules, but when had Tina ever followed the rules before now? The widest, most relieved grin spread across her lips when James replied, confirming that his eyes were closed, and that she was free to open the door.
There was a moment's pause before she did. A slow intake of breath. Then, Tina pushed the door open, just enough to slide herself and her million layers of tulle through the gap. There she saw James, sitting there looking as handsome as she had ever seen him (maybe even more so) and her heart skipped a beat. She was pretty sure she wouldn’t have been able to handle that feeling if the first time she saw him was when their eyes met at opposite ends of the aisle. The suit was perfect, his hair was perfect, and she wasn’t sure she had ever seen him looking so bright.
Before Tina slid over to James’ side, her mouth started running, and her brain wasn’t quick enough to catch her before she made a fool of herself. “God, I fancy you so much it’s not even funny…” she started, then realised that probably wasn’t the most romantic thing she had ever said in her life. So, to make amends for the embarrassment, Tina finally crept over, her hands sliding over James’ shoulders to give him a tender hug, out of his line of sight. “I missed you. I couldn’t wait another two hours.” Tina gave him a gentle kiss on the nape of his neck, just shy of his ear.

James couldn't help but chuckle at Tina's surprise; it seemed like the reality of it all was finally settling in- the fact that they would be husband and wife by this time tomorrow. He watched as the emotions flickered across her face, a mixture of excitement, nerves, and something else he couldn't quite place. Perhaps it was disbelief, the kind that came when a long-anticipated dream was about to come true.
James didn't quite know why he was the calmer of the two, but then again, hadn't he always been? he had always been the steadier hand, the voice of reason, the one who could quiet the storm in her mind (at least he liked to think he did). And right now, as the final hours before their wedding ticked away, he was more certain than ever. No matter what happened, no matter who objected or what last-minute surprise arose, tomorrow would be their day. Even if Peter showed up and did something as ridiculous as declaring his undying love for Tina - a love they both knew was nothing more than an excuse to keep them apart- James wouldn't let it rattle him. Peter lost his chance a long time ago. James had won Tina's heart over, and he intended to keep it safe. Tomorrow would be perfect, it had to be. Because Tina deserved nothing less. He had spoken to Terence earlier about the one thing that had been gnawing at Tina for weeks - how she didn't have a father figure to walk her down the isle. It wasn't something she said out loud often, but James knew it weighed on her. There was an ache in his heart, a longing for something that should have been. But Terence, in his usual no-nonsense manner, had brushed it off and insisted that if it came down to it, he would guide her himself. That thought alone had made James appreciate Tina's friends all the more. They had always been there for her, unwavering in their support. Like Ella, who had poured hours, love, and dedication into designing Tina's wedding dress, along with his tuxedo, the maid of honor's gown (her own), and that of the best man's suit (Smee and Heilan). Every stitch and every detail had been crafted with care, making the whole thing feel even more special.
James wasn't sure how many people would be coming for the ceremony. And honestly? He didn't care. It wasn't about the amount of guests or how grand the occasion was. At the end of the day, it was about him and Tina. Their love, their commitment, their future. The rest was just decoration.
He wrapped his arms around her from behind. Resting his chin gently on her shoulder. He could feel the slight tension in her body, the way her mind was spinning, overanalyzing, anticipating. He knew that look, knew that feeling.
"You're nervous, love." He whispered against her ear, his voice low and warm. His lips brushed against her skin. "Do I need to distract you?" His tone now turns playful, mischievous. he knew exactly how to pull her from the whirlwind of her thoughts, to make her focus on the moment and maybe, just maybe, he could even lul her to sleep.
Because tomorrow was going to be perfect, and he wanted her well-rested for the most important day of their lives.
Tumblr media
Tina could not really tell how much of her feelings about tomorrow were normal levels of feelings about getting married and how much was Tina Bell levels of excess emotion about absolutely everything that could possibly go right and wrong. She was excited but terrified in just about equal measures. Her body really didn't know what to do with itself. Her heart was racing, an energy coursing through her body that was preventing sitting still or sleeping or even just relaxing. How James seemed so… chill about the whole thing was boggling her brain.
Even as she lay there with her head on his chest, his fingers tracing her skin and her fidgeting endlessly with whatever her hands could find, he was calm. A calming presence that perhaps she needed more than ever. It was helping slightly in that she was laying still and not bouncing off the ceiling like she had been earlier. Still her thoughts raced.
What could go wrong? What would go wrong? What if no one shows up? What if everyone shows up? What if it rains? What if Peter's there? What if he isn't? What if— WHAT IF?!
James spoke, soft and low, catching the spiral before it could go any further downhill.
"That sounds really ominous…" she grumbled at first, before a flicker of the less terrified Tina Bell re-appeared with a smirk. "Don't tell my husband."
The worry was easing. A little. James' sappiness had a chokehold on her, frankly, that could make her squirm and swoon all at once.
"Just one day away from the rest of our lives together."
Tina wasn't quite so eloquent.
"Holy shit… Holy-fucking-actual-shit, James, we're getting married. Like, married-married!" She buried her face in his chest, scrunching her nose and eyes as tightly as she could. James' chest muffled a squeal.

"Of course it is you." James muttered at the other end of the door. He could have known that Tina was going to seek him out during their wedding even though he would see her in two hours when the actual wedding would be held. He was nervous. How could he not. In a matter of minutes he could call himself Mr Bell. And he could call Tina his wife. His actual wife. That was enough to send him over actual joy.
He closed his eyes. Wondering what Tina would think of his suit. It was an all green suit that he felt made him look quite handsome. He felt nice in it. Confident. Something James didn't feel often.
"Alright you can come in , my eyes are closed." To make it easier for himself he decided to take a seat. To not lose any balance when Tina walked in.

A Quick Look
Starter for @happiestjameshook
Tina had managed to escape from her entourage unnoticed, desperate for a moment of quiet and a break from all the fawning. While she enjoyed all the pampering and attention, she was quickly becoming overwhelmed by the noise and the chaos and the nerves. The last thing she needed was a meltdown right before walking down the aisle.
Actually, right now, all Tina really wanted was to see James. Tradition (or superstition) said that the groom wasn’t supposed to see the bride before the wedding, but Tina didn’t think she could wait another two hours. If she could just give him one hug then she could get through the rest of the day.
So, Tina crept through the house, wedding dress hiked up for easier sneaking. She really hoped James was alone. At this point, she was determined to see him no matter what, and would just have to kick anyone out that got in her way. She reached his room, rattling gently on the door.
“James, it’s me,” Tina said, trying to take a peek into the room through the keyhole. “Can I come in? I want to see you, but you have to close your eyes.”

The Night Before | closed for tina bell
With a wedding came a lot of nerves, and James Hook felt one of them fluttering in his chest as he lay beside his fiancé. The room was quiet, save for the soft rhythm of their breathing, but his thoughts were anything but still. A mix of butterflies and tension swirled within him, the weight of tomorrow's promise pressing lightly against his heart.
"I cannot believe this is the last time I'll fall asleep next to you as your boyfriend," he murmured, his voice warm and tinged with a hint of disbelief. A chuckle followed sweet and low, as he turned to Tina Bell, the person he loved more than anything in the world.
Tomorrow they will be husband and wife. Tomorrow a new chapter of their story began. One where the word "forever" would truly take roots. it was hard to fathom that nearly six years had passed since they started their journey. six years that carried them from enemies to tentative allies, from lovers to fiancés.
James reached out, his fingers tracing idle patterns on Tina's back, her arms - his touch tender. "it feels surreal doesn't it?" he mused, his eyes soft as he met theirs. "to think of everything we have been through, the highs and the lows…and now, here we are. just one day away from the rest of our lives together."
A smile spread across his face equal parts excitement and calm, as though he was holding the entirety of happiness in that single moment. "I wouldn"t change a thing." he said quietly.
The thought of always being next to Tina, of building a life together with her as partners in every sense of the word filled him with indescribable warmth.

James sighs, he knew that this would become an issue. But he had to do what he had to do and that was going to work and work meant traveling aboard especially in a time where they were planning for the wedding. It wasn't ideal he knew that, but he was a workaholic and he couldn't say no. Not with a future of his company in stake well company... hotel. The hotel that meant everything to him to hotel that brought Tina to him to hotel that made his life so much easier even though his mother was a part that wasn't easily shaken but now she was in prison and James he had to work to do so he looked at Tina and said:
"Its the last time I swear."
He knew she would be angry he knew his future wife very well but a part of him wanted her to understand that this was simply something he had to do this could mean a better future for the both of them.
" I'll be back in three days I promise."

It didn't do Tina well to be nosy, and yet here she found herself doing exactly that. James had taken a phone call in the bedroom, and by the sounds of it was rifling through drawers at the same time. Tina had her ear pressed to the door the whole time trying to figure out who he was talking to so late, but it wasn't easy given she could only hear James' short-and-sweet replies. When it sounded like he finally hung-up, in she went, to find James with his stupid little travel suitcase splayed on the floor.
It wasn't like she was looking for something to be upset about, but the horrid little flurry in her chest made it very, very easy to find something.
"What you doing?"

"Tina" james said As a warning but It was already too late she had yelled the words for everyone to hear And James had to fight the urge to laugh really she was something else but that was why he loved her so much every time they ran somewhere together it was him following footsteps her footsteps as if she was always out of reach. And he longed, and he longed to catch up on her Well, as long as she was having fun. after all, he was going to have fun with her. soon. Well, soon in three hours. Why was this drive so hard? Well, it wasn't the only thing that was hard.
Yes, yes, I know Horny jail for James. He muttered. But he didn't mind Not really. The only thing that he did mind was that Tina was riling him up. And James would punish her for it.
Later that is.
"Behave little girl otherwise I will stop the car." It was startling how calm James was, how collected he could be even though the only thing on his mind was ravishing his future wife.
It had been the people who hadn't know she was his wife, wsho flirted with her despite her being his, despite he being hers, and it frustrated him at no end, he wanted to mark her.
bite her flesh till it got red like roses. two and a half hours left, this was becoming a nightmare.
It all happened so fast that Tina scarcely had time to wipe the dumbfounded look from her face. First, her chicken nuggets were out of her hands in an instant. James marched up to the counter (for a moment she thought he was taking them back), returned with them in a bag and whisked her out of her seat before she could say anything. Had anyone else stolen her nuggets, an entire fit would have been thrown in that time but James had a way of catching her so off guard that she was left looking like a guppy making bubbles instead.
His return had her shell-shocked and grinning and fighting for words to protest but none came. She didn't think a thing of following him straight to the car, blinking and giggling like she was about to take things too far. Her one regret that evening would be forgetting to grab her McFlurry off the table before they went.
The car door closed with a thud, the engine purred, and they were out of the parking lot before the drive through staff could ask can I help you? The length of the drive hadn't even occurred to her as they were sitting together in the confined space, with the warm leather seats and pine tree air freshener.
Time stood still in moments like this. Still clutching her nuggets, Tina stared at James, who snuck glances but was otherwise occupied by the road. Her smirk grew and grew.
Tina thought about turning the music down, but decided to wait just a little longer before she resorted to that. He was clearly manic, looking for distraction and desperate to get home and into bed.
"You know what?" she said thoughtfully after keeping her mouth shut for a good ten minutes. She leaned over so he could hear her better. "I think you need to be put in horny jail."
Tina was matter-of-fact in her statement. Whatever it meant was anyone's guess. The only thing that could be said with certainty was that James was quite possibly going to regret letting Tina wind him up as much as she had, and was going to continue doing. Just to really bring it home, Tina pressed the button on the door. The window dropped slowly, with an electrical buzzing. James' music filled the air, but it wasn't loud enough to drown out what Tina screamed next.
"HORNY JAIL FOR JAMES! I REPEAT, HORNY JAIL FOR JAMES!!!"
Then, without much warning, she reached over to the steering wheel and bashed the horn button, all the while grinning at James. It seemed to work in clearing the road ahead, an intended win, as the cars in front pulled into the slower lane to let them pass.

And just like that, James's patience snapped. A wicked grin spread across his lips, illuminating his face with a spark of mischief that seemed to electrify the air around him. In a sudden burst of spontaneity, he snatched the chicken nuggets from the counter, a decision fueled by an urgency that surged through his veins. No longer willing to sit idly by and let time slip away, he approached the cashier, his heart racing as he asked her to bag them up. As he waited, his mind was a whirlwind of thoughts about Tina anything he would be doing to her once they got home.
With the warm bag of nuggets clutched tightly in his hand, he strode purposefully toward the door, determination guiding each step. The moment he spotted Tina, her smile lighting up her face like sunshine breaking through the clouds, he felt an exhilarating rush of affection that filled him to the brim. In a whirlwind of excitement, he thrust the bag of nuggets into her arms, barely giving her a moment to react before wrapping his arms around her waist. With a fervent energy that was both playful and passionate, he lifted her off the ground, spinning her around like a madman, reveling in the joyous spontaneity of it all.
"Home. Now." The command rolled off his tongue with an unmistakable certainty, and while his tone was light-hearted, an undercurrent of seriousness threaded through his words, signaling that he meant what he said. He gently set her back down, a glint of amusement dancing in his eyes. He had learned his lesson well: no matter how tempting the moment might be, tossing Tina around was a mistake he wouldn’t make again.
As he opened the car door for her, a swell of gratitude washed over him for the shared moments they had created—moments that were both silly and profound. Today was not just about chicken nuggets; it was about claiming their future together, one impulsive adventure at a time. The very air around them seemed charged with possibility.
Yet beneath this delightful facade, a more primal need simmered within James. He was feeling a surge of desire that was impossible to ignore; he craved some loving, and he certainly wasn’t going to wait another hour to act on it. However, the reality of their drive—over an hour long—loomed ahead, a seemingly endless stretch of time that threatened to test his patience to its limits.
As they settled into the car, he caught a glimpse of Tina, her expression a blend of irritation and smug amusement. She was enjoying this way too much, and he couldn’t help but feel a mixture of frustration and excitement. The playful banter that had always characterized their relationship was about to take center stage, and he had to admit, even in his impatience, that he loved how she could tease him so effortlessly.
With the engine purring softly and the road stretching out before them, James’s mind raced with ideas of how to make the most of this drive. He settled on playing some music, to distract him of not just going of the road and having sex with Tina in the car instead. that would be a first, but was he really that shameless?
Well only one way to find out now will we?
Tumblr media
In that moment, without having to say a word, James face conveyed everything she needed to know. She was absolutely, without a doubt, one hundred percent right and he was completely unable to hide it. That was a surprise, frankly, because he was usually very well practised in keeping a straight face (except for the eyebrow) and not letting on until he wanted to (or so Tina thought, at least). Even when she could read him, easily, he put in his best effort not to let her see all the pages in the book all at once.
Tina picked up another nugget, threatened to take a bite, and then paused.
James voice, contrasting the upbeat music, quiet chatter of other patrons, and excited squels of children in the ballet put, was telling and shocking. A low rumble, a hushed desperation.
Tina could not hide her smirk.
"Cauuuuse it's funny," she giggled honestly, her voice bright. Once the surprise of the realisation had worn on, she did find all of this comical, if only because she had just enough control over the situation to make it so.
Suddenly they were playing a game.
A dangerous game, yes, but a game nonetheless.
Tina took a single bite of her nugget.
"And maybe I would like to savour the taste of my food, Mr. Hook." Here, Tina knocked James' empty fries box over, highlighting the fact that he had completely inhaled his meal before she could even see it.
They had completely locked eyes by now, which meant that... well, maybe Tina wasn't winning the game after all. Maybe she was pushing the wrong buttons, or pushing them too quickly, or in the wrong combination but it made her heart flutter and flutter and flutter until, briefly, she did forget that she was mid-chicken nugget.
She blinked and popped it in her mouth.
Would it be foolish to milk this moment for all it was worth? To drive James completely insane, just because it was funny?

Tina knew him better than anyone else, and could read him like a book most days, but no matter how deeply she knew him, there were still parts of his heart he kept locked away, hidden in places he wasn’t ready to reveal. There was a darkness in him, a vulnerability that he didn’t know how to share, didn’t know how to let her touch. He feared that if she got too close, if she somehow stumbled upon those jagged edges inside him, he'd either end up hurting her or, worse, tainting the purity he believed she carried. She was too precious, too good for that—or at least that was the excuse he constantly whispered to himself, even though deep down, he knew better. Pure? Pure his ass. Tina was nothing short of a walking storm, a hurricane of mischief wrapped in a deceptively innocent exterior. She was chaos incarnate, and her mere presence stirred up every feeling he had tried so hard to keep under wraps, every emotion he wasn’t supposed to let spill over.
It was more than just desire. Sure, he was more than a little horny—she had that effect on him without even trying—but it wasn’t just surface-level attraction. It was an all-consuming need, a craving that went deeper than he’d ever felt for anyone else. This wasn’t just lust; it was the kind of burn that lived in his bones, that simmered and festered until it threatened to engulf him completely. The fire she lit in him was the kind that would keep raging until it destroyed him. Every time she looked at him, every fleeting touch, every laugh that spilled from her lips, he felt it. The pull. The heat. The burn. It was relentless, constant, gnawing at him in the quietest moments and flaring into a wildfire in the loudest ones. It was the kind of yearning that made him understand the pain Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, spoke of—the burn for someone that consumed you from the inside out, that left you raw and vulnerable, and yet craving more.
And of course, she knew. She always knew. She had this infuriating way of reading him like an open book, of seeing through every wall he tried to put up, as though his thoughts were written on his skin for her to decipher. No matter how hard he tried to hide it, she was always a step ahead, always taunting, always teasing.
“OH… You're barely keeping it in your pants right now, aren't you?” she had said, that wicked grin on her face, eyes glinting with amusement. She loved to rile him up, to push just enough to watch him squirm, and God, did it work. Every time. He could barely contain the low growl that escaped his throat, a deep, primal sound that vibrated through him as his eyes locked on hers. She knew what she was doing.
He ran his tongue over his teeth, suppressing the grin that threatened to break across his face. "If you've noticed," he muttered, his voice rough and full of heat, "then why are you eating like a damn snail?" The patience he’d been clinging to was rapidly slipping, replaced by a burning desire that was becoming impossible to control. The sight of her, casually dragging out the moment, made his blood roar in his ears. She was savoring every second, watching him unravel, enjoying it far too much. And she knew exactly what she was doing—she always did.
If she wasn’t careful, though, she would push him too far. He could feel the tension coiling inside him, ready to snap, and if she kept it up, he wouldn’t care where they were. He’d have her under the table, on top of it—hell, anywhere in this restaurant if it came to that. He wasn’t even thinking straight anymore. He’d get her McDonald’s later if that’s what she wanted, whatever would keep her happy, as long as he could taste her, touch her, devour her.
Calm down, James. His mind hissed the warning, trying to pull him back from the edge of temptation. You were raised better than this. Manners. Control. You learned all that, even if it was from an obsessive, psychopathic woman. But God, manners were the last thing on his mind right now. Not when she was sitting there, driving him to the brink of madness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tina had very much convinced herself that she could read James like an open book. Sometimes, most of the time, it was true. But it wasn't as easy as she might have claimed. Four or five years seemed a long enough time to get to know someone intimately, to see inside their outer shell and have a poke around at all the tubes and wires and weird spiky things but sometimes, sometimes, there were still things to stumble upon that were unfathomable. Tina did not like to admit that there was still very much to learn about James Hook, simply because her own ego couldn't take that hit of not always knowing what was on his mind or plaguing him behind those powder-blue eyes.
One thing Tina could say with absolute certainly looking at James right now though, without a shadow of any doubt, was that he was horny. As. Fuck.
Evidence Number one was always the teasing little remarks here and there. A joke to start it off, a prompt, so to speak, toward often times juvenile or other times very hot and heavy conversation.
Tina always played along. Even when she was absolutely so Starving that she could commit murder. If this was the case, food had to come first or this was a no-go.
Evidence two was usually a smirk and a change in posture. Evidence three, antsiness. And four, where things got dangerous, was when the hands started roaming, looking for something to touch.
Tina first was too occupied in her cravings for chicken nuggets that's she didn't really click at first. She fidgeted, folded napkins, blew a straw at the back of someone's head and stared out the window.
Then she watched James waiting as impatiently as she would for their order, rattling his fingers on the counter.
Noted.
Finally he returned with sweet, glorious food!!! A nugget was in her mouth before the tray hit the table. James was apparently also hungry because his burger was gone before She even saw it.
And then evidence Really started to Fall into place. Tina slowed her pace, dipping a nugget into her mcflurry.
Just to test the running theory, she moved her feet up onto the seat next to James. If she was right, he'd probably touch her leg.
Tina narrowed her eyes.
…Otherwise, you’ll be too tired to do fun things
“OH… You're barely keeping it in your pants right now, aren't you?”

James Hook was a man shrouded in an air of mystery. He carried himself with a quiet confidence that hinted at a life lived on the edge, with secrets kept close to his chest. But all of that went out of the window when he fell in love with Tina Bell. From the moment he laid eyes on her, James was captivated. Tina had a way of making his heart race, her laughter ignited something within him that he hadn’t felt in years. He longed for her, craved her presence like an addict chasing their next high. Every moment spent away from her was pure agony, that’s why he HATED business trips. He decided then and there he was taking her with him from now on. But first, there was one thing that couldn’t be ignored- food.
Tina had a weakness for McDonald's, particularly for those crispy chicken nuggets, creamy Oreo McFlurries, and perfectly golden fries. James, ever the attentive lover, knew this all too well. He also knew that once Tina had her favorites, she would be in a much better mood - ready to give in to the passion that simmered just beneath the surface. So, as much as he wanted to whisk her away immediately, he had to ensure she was well-fed first. He had no complaints about that.
“Nuggets, Mcflurry (oreo flavored), and large fries,” James muttered to himself, making a mental note of Tina’s go-to order. As they walked into the McDonalds, Tina headed off to grab them a seat while James made his way to the counter. He placed her usual, for himself, a bacon burger with cheesy fries, his guilty pleasure. He paid the cashier, his fingers tapping impatiently against the counter as he waited for the food. Finally, with the tray in hand, he made his way to the table where Tina was already seated, her eyes lighting up as he placed the food in front of her.
“Dig in, Love.” He urged her with a playful snicker. “What are you waiting for? I want to go home before midnight. otherwise, you’ll be too tired to do fun things.” He added with a mischievous smirk, his eyes twinkling with anticipation.
He could already feel Tina roll her eyes but was certain she was trying to hide a smile. (they knew each other well enough by now). And she knew exactly what he meant, and the thought of what awaited them after their meal was enough to make his heart race. He didn’t know about Tina, but his fries disappeared rather quickly, and the burger too took only a couple of bites. He didn’t have time to savor the flavor when Tina was on the menu.  The sooner they finished, the sooner they could get home - and there, in the privacy of their shared space, the real fun would begin. Thank you Ella for babysitting the twins. James thought to himself. James watched Tina with a mix of adoration and desire. Knowing that every second brought them closer to the night they had been eagerly anticipating since they went on this business trip. (not that they hadn’t made out during the trip, they really couldn’t take their hands off each other.) For now, though, he was content to let her enjoy her meal, knowing that soon enough, they’d be indulging in something far more satisfying.

"One of those statements is definitely true," Tina replied, very seriously. (She was barely hiding her smirk.) "I'll let you figure out which, if we ever get home." She knew that a playful grin on James' face could be a very dangerous thing. She also knew that they had both worked very hard for it to be a common look on his face now. If Tina hadn't been so damn hungry, she very well would have suggested hopping into the back seat.
But chicken nuggets.
The moment the car was parked, James turned to look at her. Tina looked back, the 'totally serious' look on her face falling away in an instant. She waited, as if he might say something, but he didn't. It almost made her laugh.
He was certainly all about the surprises. In anticipation of a comment, Tina was surprised when he sprang out the door without a word, and practically skipped to her side of the car. At first she wondered at the sudden urgency, but he opened her door like a true gentleman (explaining the rush) and out she got. She gave a tiny curtsy in thanks.
All she could think was how annoyingly cute he was being all of a sudden. But also nuggets.
They took hands and James guided her into the McDonalds. (For the best; she would have hurdled right over the cash desk and into the kitchen to get her hands on those nuggets if she wasn't tethered to James like a toddler on a leash.)
They sat, and Tina made a fuss of thinking about what she wanted, even though she chose the same thing every single time. To make the "thinking" easier, she grabbed James' hands, turning them over and over as if the divine solution to her grumbling stomach was written on them.
A hum and a haw later, Tina replied. "Hmmmm... AnnnnnnnooooOREO MCFLURRY!" "Nuggets and a McFlurry. Oh, and fries! Large fries."

Do you collect anything? And what are some hobbies you have?
James has a passion for three unique collections that reveal the many facets of his personality. First, his collection of cufflinks - each pair a small intricate piece of art - reflects his appreciation for timeless elegance. From classic silver designs to quirky, themed pairs that showcase his sense of humor, these cufflinks are more than just accessories - they are an expression of his style and mood.
then there is his growing collection of guitars, each with its own story to tell. Some are vintage treasures that carry the echoes of past performances, while others are modern masterpieces waiting to create new memories. James spends hours playing each one, feeling the soul of the instrument resonate with his own.
finally his collection of newspaper clippings is a window to his curious mind. These clippings carefully preserved and categorized, cover everything from historic events to obscure, intriguing stories. They sere as a reminder of the world”s endless complexity, and james relishes the connection to history and the thrill of discovering untold tales.
as for his hobby: To james, the fight club was more than just a clandestine gathering of bruised knuckles and adrenaline - it was his cathedral of CHAOS, a place where the veneer of everyday life peeled away to reveal the raw, unfiltered essence of existence. Nestled in the dimly lit basements and abandoned warehouses of the city, the fight club operated in the shadows, away from prying eyes and societal judgements.
each night he descended into the underground arena, james felt a surge of electricity surge through his veins. The air was thick with anticipation, sweat and the muted whispers from onlookers who came to see the spectacle. Here, titles, statuses, and the trivialities of the outside world held no weight. What mattered was strength, strategy and the will to dominate.
James sood at the pinnacle of this primal hierarchy, his undefeated record wasn’t merely a
statistic - it was a testament to his indomitable spirit and relentless discipline. opponents of all shapes and sizes had stepped into the ring, their eyes blazing with determination, only to be systematically dismantled by his unparalleled prowess. Each victory added another layer to his legend, a legend whispered among the members by a mix of awe and trepidation
But for james the fight club was not about asserting dominance over others; it was a battle against himself. With every punch thrown and every dodge executed, he confronted his fears, insecurities and the shadows that lurked within his psyche. The pain was cathartic, the bruises badges of honor, and the blood a sacrament.
he remembered one night vividly - a newcomer, a towering figure with a chiseled physique and eyes that burned with ambition, challenged him. he crowd buzzed with excitement, sensing a potential shift in the club’s dynamic. Would the legend fall tonight? The fight was brutal, each combatant pushing the other to their limits. But in the end, James’ experience and unwavering focus prevailed. As his opponent lay gasping on the cold concrete, James extended a hand, a silent gesture of respect. The crowd erupted, not just for the victory, but for the display of honor in a realm that often avoided it.
Outside the fight club, Tina was the one who mended him. James, the enigmatic collector of cufflinks, guitars, and newspaper clippings- a man of refined tastes and subtle mysteries. But within the confines of the underground arena, he was a warrior, an embodiment of raw human potential untamed by societal constraints. The fight club was his refuge, Tina was his everything, and as long as his heart beat with the rhythm of combat he remained its undefeated champion.
