it isn't
inspired by W. Stafford’s It Is
it isn’t so much the tremulous What as it is the inevitable When that stops my blood. it is bad enough that things happen, but then, when I cut them open and reasons are revealed  beating vigorously, that’s when scars form like knuckles.
I should be more positive, in time my center will be hollow. this is what I’ll work with.
we recycle dutifully our words, the words behind our words,
how a phrase can so easily sit in a chair, explaining everything! how its beginning and its end curl, verblessly from backrest to seat to scratched leg.
words that fall around our legs, syllables contract, relax. we bend our words, our legs, always stepping slowly.

The flow and repetition makes it
Here she is dressed in power and beauty leaving a trail of flowers that continues to grow and grow and grow inside of her in a world trying to rid her of the life she carries gracefully inside you are not welcome to attach yourself to the Woman she is but watch as she bleeds for her creation.

Bounty Chocolate
Bounty was a delicious chocolate bar that paused
The dilapidation of insults in my childhood, but
Only because it was two parts, captured chocolate
On top of a coconut creme, fixated on erring in mouth.
It was betwixt a bounty and sugary truth,
That we grew and became upright, in two sprints.
My greatest fear was that this was not to last
When the creme pattered whole on my tongue
Then shard and shared an explosion of parts,
An exposition of what this day was, collapsed.

The Rose of my Colour
To be, in being so devout, and without? Not quicker,
Does the flower dry, upside down, further that
She jitters her colours to blemish my cheeks, to make weaker
The sensations so longingly in every whether I weather,
Wittiness is quite clever. To ascribe here that, as rose
When I tell it to how beautifully she, but outed here in the sense
Her common love is so pivotal; that this redundancy is a flagrance
Yet weaker! Then, that it’s temptation is forbidden, I stutter
To speak to her like the glamorous one she always was,
In a meadow of grass, brimming my own kindred colour, in a
second, day, month, decade.
