i myself am a person who will throw around dude/bro/man like i'm trying to bring surf back in style, but sometimes when i see people vehemently arguing that these terms are entirely gender neutral i do wanna gently take their hand like. okay but have you considered the societal and histortical reasons why masculine language and gender neutral language have so much overlap. can we acknoweldge how traditionally masculine terms are treated as a default and what that means. or are you gonna be weird about it.

[News, but Make lt MTF] Rosa Machuca: Fiancée of murdered trans woman slams police for deadnaming her
Oh, the State Department loves human rights — as long as they're straight, cis, and don't ruin the brochure. But the second it's queer people? Boom — the abuse magically "doesn't exist." Apparently, democracy has a footnote: valid only if heterosexual.
Because nothing says "land of the free" quite like erasing the victims, pretending the crime never happened, and calling it diplomacy. At this point, the report isn't protecting America's reputation — it's laundering bigotry at the same speed TCOMFIFITS tucks on a good day: lightning fast.

i’m going to be pretty much neighbors with my ex in less than a month what would you recommend i do to become a hotter and sexier butch before i see them again (i already started playing bass and working out)
Firstly, you're off to a great start. Secondly, attractiveness is relative, but here are some things I've done that have boosted my confidence as a butch.
Stopped shaving
Got a haircut
Started wearing tank tops and men's pants
More tattoos and piercings
Start shamelessly flirting with everyone
Stopped wearing makeup and started doing better skincare. (Optional, if you like makeup still that's rad, but me personally, it was just an opportunity to stare at the mirror for half an hour and nitpick at my features)
Tell yourself you're hot shit often enough to actually start believing it. Go through life with this newly found knowledge.
Anyways, hope this helps, cousin.

People are so quick to say “i love when you talk a lot” but when you actually talk a lot, suddenly you’re annoying.

There's even historical trans fem figures that called themselves gay!
Gay men use she/her pronouns all the fucking time. Drag queens are very accepted in the LGBTQ+ community. So why is it 'invalidating your own gender' or 'infiltrating lesbian spaces' when lesbians use he/him pronouns??? Please go read a gay history book i beg of you. He/him lesbians are fully accepted on my page! i love yall sm & dont ever let cis people invalidate your experience when they have no idea what they're talking about

I think the world would be a better place if batman and superman were butch lesbians who saved the world together and made out afterwards (bonus points if they're both trans as well)

The fact that there are so many people who think that fully corrected long sightedness makes someone disabled, but that facial differences don’t really baffles me, but also explains a lot of interactions I’ve had here.
There is a Huge cultural element to what is considered a disability,m that absolutely cannot be ignored. It’s not a purely medical (or legal) thing, it’s also about ableism, it’s about what is considered “normal” and it’s how people have historically been characterised.

it's also impossible for a single place to be 100% sensory accessible to every autistic person. like. some autistic people need to be able to yell and whoop. some autistic people need silence. some autistic people need bright lights for visual processing (i'm one of them). some autistic people need dim lights to prevent overstimulation. calling your space "sensory accessible" means nothing like.if you have dimmed lights i'm not gonna be able to navigate your space. if you tell me i can vocal stim to myself, some of my actual irl personal friends will be driven to meltdowns.

I’m really glad that we are creating a more inclusive definition of what disability means and includes, especially as a person with developmental, neuropsychiatric, and physical disabilities.
However that being said, it is really frustrating to see all of my posts (and other people’s posts) about physical disability get completely derailed by people mistagging it as adhd or autism.
I understand that with disability being a spectrum that covers a wide array of people and conditions, but sometimes physically disabled people need to talk about being physically disabled without being talked over.

Being a poc of color in fandoms is so annoying because any time someone draws a character with a little bit of melanin some people suddenly act like melanin is the scariest thing they’ve ever seen.

Sure, you wrote it about your own experience, but that doesn't mean it doesn't apply broadly to all trans people. This isn't unique to trans women.
Being a trans woman is like if you ever turned off your customer service voice you die
