Is it better to have too much dip or too much stuff to dip the stuff into the dip?
Like on one hand, if you have too much dip, you feel obligated to use as much of it as possible so you don't waste it. Because that's a waste of money, to just throw away the extra dip. But on the other, if you have too little dip, it fucks up the palate and doesn't taste right. You gotta get at least some of that dip on the dipping tool. It's law!
So which is worse?

Oh, on the topic of cryptids and a previous answer: what would an organism that has mercury blood be like?
🤔
Sorry it took me a bit to get to this. I had to put it in a folder and come back to it periodically. I'm not a scientist by any means, by the way, this is like. After a visit to the library and stuff. And a lot of it's just a shitload of guesswork.
Probably... extremely dense. Not dense in the brain (dumb), but dense in terms of molecular body mass. Mercury is about 13x the weight of blood--1 ml of blood tends to weigh about 1 g and 1 ml of mercury is about 13.5 g. So you could kind of assume that whatever creature it is would probably weigh somewhere around 13x more than an average human, if they're of comparable body mass.
The organs would have to be majorly different than what we're used to in order to compensate for how heavy mercury is. Whatever the creature is would definitely be poisonous to humans consumption. Also, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe the mercury itself isn't the entirety of the blood, but the creature's equivalent to water in our blood? That might affect the total weight of its blood, though whether it's positive or negative, I'm unsure.
I also imagine that the nervous system would have to be an entirely different beast to prevent the blood from coalescing at the bottom of the creature. I'm thinking that it's a massive heart with a strong and consistent heartbeat compared to the size of the creature. But I also imagine that the creature would have to be comparatively small to us, because imagine you at your size moving a body that weighs over 13x more than you already do.
Imagine metal bones and thick, hide-like skin that's almost metal itself to keep the flesh stable. Imagine the creature being more bottom-heavy than it is top-heavy. It's probably evolved to be close to the ground so that it doesn't need to evolve a more complicated sense of balance than what it needs to be. Think like a crab or a tortoise.
A creature that lives in low gravity would probably evolve to be taller than a creature that evolved outside of that. I wonder if the blood would function like ours, carrying air to different parts of the body to help it function. Would it have lungs? Would the weight of its own flesh prevent it from breathing? What kind of gas would a creature like this thrive in? Or are we assuming that this creature exist separate from any reality that we know to exist? Does it need to breathe? And if it doesn't need air, can it still constitute as being alive?
Uhhh I can go on and on like this... What kind of bed would the creature have... What environment would it thrive in... Would it be able to survive at the bottom of the ocean or not... Would it need a different PSI of latent air pressure to keep itself together... I'm going to stop there because. Haha wow. That's already a lot to think about! 😵💫

While we're on tough hypothetical questions, do you think there's a pale spirit? If so, would it talk to the world spirit?
I think that the pale is equal parts the absence of spirit and the coalescence of spirit itself. If we're talking about the World Spirit as if it's an organic creature, then the pale, in my opinion, is debris that's left behind in its body.
It's shit that the World Spirit's organs were never intended to process as quickly as it's growing. Plaque in the veins, an overabundance of water that ruptures the blood. Tar and nicotine polluting the lungs.
When Elysium filled with oxygen some billions of years ago, the first primordial life forms were choked out by its vast and limitless expanse. Who knows how long it took for trees to exist? Who knows how long it took the oxygen to begin its circulation? Whatever the pale is, whether it's thought or spirit, there's nothing that exists to filter it through the organism. There are no trees that eat thoughts.
If the world is a spirit and everything within it is its organs, would that make the pale its rot? When a person dies, their body goes pale and rots. And once that body rots, it's eaten by carrion and beasts and their flesh and bones become one with the earth again. Death gives way to new life.
How reassuring is it to know that someday soon, nothing you do today will matter in the face of tomorrow? I'm feeling great! 🥳🥳🥳

Those cryptids sound awesome! With that odd one out... The spirit of Revachol? Are you talking about the world spirit being an amalgamation of local spirits for each part of the world, or all of them being separate entities? Or Revachol being more sentient than other cities? Did the Innocents write about that in obscure records that aren't common knowledge, or did the idea come from somewhere else? Sounds more like a theology or a heresy than a cryptid, technically.
Oh, I don't know about Revachol being more sentient than other cities, to be honest. This is a tricky subject to navigate, which is fantastic! Because I'm the genius who brought it up in the first place. 🫠
If Revachol were hypothetically a sentient being, though, then I don't think it'd be too far outside of the realm of possibility for other cities or regions of the world to also carry sentience. If this were the kind of stuff that past Innocents wrote about, it isn't anything I'd have any ability to look into myself. 😞 Kind of a shame because that is something I'd be interested in looking into. 🔍🧐
But, you know. Yeah. Revachol's probably not a cryptid. 🤣 Don't know why I brought her up! Call it a slip of the fingers. 😘

Seen any more cryptids since the phasmid?
You could probably consider the spirit of Revachol a cryptid if you listen to her music and feel the pumping of her veins beneath the streets. 😊
But most people wouldn't, so no. I have heard tale of a six-legged dog in the Pox that howls like an oceanic siren to lure humans into the hunt, though.
I'm also not sure if you've heard of this, but the Pale Observer's allegedly some kind of oceanic organism that migrates between isolas! How wicked is that? 😮 Nobody knows what it looks like because all who've seen it have allegedly had their minds scrambled and erased! I wonder if it's a mythological construct created by humans to explain away the effects of pale overexposure or if it might be representative of a biome of creatures that's capable of living farther in the pale than we can reach... 🤔
Absolutely fascinating! 👏👏👏 I love cryptids! ♥️♥️♥️
