This is a stressful period we’re all experiencing. You are not alone right now. Trying to battle the complications of real life takes energy, that energy detracts from the energy you use for roleplay.  

And this can be especially frustrating when RP is something you’re trying to use to escape from reality.

So remember to love yourself, treat yourself nicely, and not blame yourself for feeling under-motivated.   If you need to take a break from everything that’s okay.  Don’t be angry at yourself.  Do what you have to do to help yourself relax.

Y’all really need to treat Black People in the RPC better.

Ya know. I woke up this morning and I decided I’ve bitten my tongue about this long enough. This isn’t singling anyone out but this is a rising problem I see in the RPC and I think now is a good time to address it.

Y'all really need to start uplifting Black content creators and role-players in this community.

Like some of y'all really think it’s enough to have “Black lives matter” in your bios and “Don’t interact if you’re racist” in your rules. But honestly? You’re doing the bare fucking minimum here.

Time and time again, I’ve seen black RPers pour their heart and souls into their characters, hours upon hours researching/writing/drawing for their ocs while endless amounts of dollars spent commissioning custom art/icons of their characters, only to be told their their OCs are “too over powered,” “boring,” “not my cup of tea.” Meanwhile a white RPer writes a preexisting popular character from a certain media with just as much if not more power, and the RPC is all over them.

It’s fucking exhausting to say the least and I’ve debated leaving the RPC for a while now because of it. Yes. I said, “a while now.”  I’ve been biting my tongue on this issue for a while now because I was scared of how people would take it. Usually when I bring up race with whatever community I’m in I get told “not to bring race into it.”

But at this point? Fuck it. I’m done feeling guilted. I’m done being silent. I’m speaking what’s on my mind. Y'all need to treat us black RPers with a little more respect around here. And again this isn’t directed to my mutuals cause y'all are awesome and the only reason I stay on this hellsite and in this rancid community is because of y'all.

No no. I’m talking to the people behind y'all. Skimming our backstories, dismissing our characters, telling us we’re too OP when bitch you interact with literal Satan, shut up.

It’s not enough to just put “BLM” in your bio, and “Don’t interact if you’re racist” in your rules anymore. At least, it’s not for me. Interact with black muns & their characters, reblog their art they draw/commission, reblog their promos, don’t just use them as a meme source, RESPECT. BLACK. ROLEPLAYERS.

And hey, if you have a problem with any of what I just said, Bye. You know where the block & unfollow buttons are.

And to any black person that happens to read this. I get it. Trust me, I get it. We’ve been ignored, infantilized, fetishized, pushed on the back burner, chastised, criticized, and told our characters are the problem from day one. And it’s a problem. I feel your struggle, I feel the strife. You’re not the only one who feel this way. And if you feel that way. SAY IT. Don’t be afraid. If your so-called “friends” or “allies” unfollow you for saying it straight, then guess what. They’re not your friends to begin with. Period.

highly recommend blocking ppl just because u don’t like their vibe. even if they seem nice and haven’t done anything wrong, but you just don’t like them for reasons you can’t articulate? slam that block button. your experience on this website will be improved for it. blocking isn’t a moral judgment its just a way to exercise control over your space

We've seen Eclipsa/Mun's opinion on druids, paladins bards and alchemists. What are their takes on warlocks?

is anyone else just really fucking sick and tired of pointless plots and meaningless endings that don’t make any sense for character development or foreshadowing like game of thrones, the 100, supernatural, how i met your mother, lost, the list goes on and fucking on. when will it end? when will years of angst and death and development mean something in the end? when will the feeling of “i wasted years of my life watching this and it all meant nothing” end? it’s not cool. it’s not subversive. it’s not innovative. it’s an insult to every fan, every cast member, and every character. i’m so tired of modern media. the only bright side to this mess is that it’s teaching people how NOT to tell the story.
