Swiftsong and Brightheart in the swiftsong au!!

Brightpaw still gets her face messed up but only because it more or less the first injury she got in this au. Her and Swiftpaw once they realize HOW outnumbered they are try to climb a tree and escape, but Brightpaw is just a bit too slow and gets grabbed by one of the dogs

Swiftpaw jumps down to defend her and shortly after, the patrol arrives as back-up their caterwauling and the barking of the pack loud enough to draw the attention of some twolegs searching the woods for the dogs, which in turn scares the pack away long enough for Fireheart’s patrol to get the apprentices to safety

Worth noting that Swiftpaw’s tail is amputated later

I still find it funny about how much Tigerstar hates Firestar.

Like. It's so stupid it's funny.

Cause like. Baby Firepaw is 6 moons old or so when he joins ThunderClan. Two moons later he's made a warrior at 8. If we take 6 moons = 12 years, that means Tigerclaw was literally growling over this teenager for years.

One teenager pisses you off so you decide to obsessively dream about murdering him (canon), you train your sons to kill him (canon), you haunt his grandson throughout his life (canon), and then. and THEN.

And then you go out of your way to find this teenager-who-is-now-a-grown-man at the end of a fucking war and attempt to murder him then and there.

And you fail.

Nice going, buddy. Obsession ain't the best look on you, but I wouldn't have it any other way <3

(Sidenote: It's also funny that while Firestar is a constant in Tigerstar's brain, Tigerstar is not one in Firestar's. LMAO)

I’m actually kind of amazed how many people do not understand this concept

Like to think that, as a ex-kittypet, firestar its a pretty touchy cat, like, he likes physical contact a lot and does it quite often

he’s so huggy. he’s the huggiest hugger. one time, graypaw was beckoning firepaw over to share tongues, but firepaw just rubbed against his side real hard, purred, flopped on the ground, and kept purring.

as yellowfang dies, she licks his head real hard and he just gets choked up bc it brings up a memory of his mom, the only memory he has of her.

cloudtail is super similar, and fireheart punishes his apprentice for disrespect with cuddle bans.

as fireheart and longtail become friends, fireheart gets super touchy. he rubs and leans on longtail and intertwines their tails, and longtail is SO flustered but he thinks it’s platonic because fireheart acts similarly with graystripe.

as soon as squirrelkit and leafkit don’t need sandstorm’s milk, she leaves the nursery and firestar replaces her :3 he was there the whole time, but yknow. he LOVES sitting there all day with kits cuddling him. HIS kits, can you believe it? once those two are apprenticed, firestar mopes a bit from lack of cuddles.

after his kits leave the nursery, firestar refuses (can’t) sleep without another cat, usually longtail.

leafpool was always a little closer to firestar than squirrelflight was, despite firestar’s wishes, so they have cute little moments sitting together and grooming each other, rubbing their heads together and purring.

even once his family is full-grown, they all pile in the leader’s den from time to time to cuddle firestar. this continues until his death — so his grandbabies, the three, get to join in! bramblestar does not continue this tradition in the leader’s den, but squirrelflight’s kids still cuddle her. firestar passed on the cuddle gene.

in starclan, firestar is the patron saint of cuddle puddles because i said so???

i definitely want legendary cats to be known as “patron” of something, and firestar definitely will be one, and it will definitely have to do with love.

guys will see a location and think wow thats a great place for a clan of warrior cats

Underappreciated job of the clan deputy is to keep track of all the intertwined who's-dating-who dynamics in the clan so they can get ahead of any potential drama. This is especially important after a group of apprentices all get their warrior names and leap into their messy late-teens/early 20s style relationships.

Nothing and I mean N O T H I N G will be quite as funny as Firestar just not realizing Sandstorm has feelings for him until book 4. Because I’m willing to take the stance that it really started in book 2. Every one knew but him. The worst kept secret ever. And he still didn’t notice till Cinderpelt pointed it out.

He’s such a dumb dumb brain and I love him.

He’s so many things and smart is just not one of them.

Firestar misses Bluestar at the lake territory.

Firestar misses Yellowfang at the like territory.

At the lake… he has a den that Bluestar never slept in. He bathes in the sun, glistening like flames, on rocks their paws never knew. He thinks of them more because there are no things that they shared here. They never shared tongue beneath the Highledge, or on Half rock. There are no memories of them there.

He can’t visit where they’re buried. He can’t put his paws there they once stood. There’s so hint of their stale scents on the stone. There’s nothing of them in this place. Fewer and fewer cats remember them.

He misses Lionheart.

He misses Whitestorm.

He misses Ravenpaw.

He misses his first true home in the forest. He dreams of a it. He dreams of them.

having Thrushpelt die there would be so devastating because

a: Bluestar has no one aside from Fireheart (and technically Whitestorm depending on how you're writing him, I remember him still being close to Bluestar in the books towards the end)

b: Thrushpelt is helpless to watch from starclan as Bluestar mentally spirals and loses faith

c: Fireheart losing his mentor like that would be DEVASTATING. like, he finally uncovered Tigerclaw's treachery to the clan, but at what cost?

imagine tho: Thrushpelt's spirit being the one to visit Fireheart after he dies instead of Spottedleaf! I feel like that has the potential to be so much more meaningful

Imagine him and Oakheart doing their best to help give Fireheart the strength to swim after Bluestar and also them helping Mistyfoot and Stonefur find and save them both from the river. Him being right there for Bluestar alongside Oakheart and her family when she passes into starclan

I tried to get other people’s opinions on this elsewhere BUT I want a Thrushpelt lives AU.

I want him apart of the plot for the first prophecy.

I want him in the running for being deputy after Redtail.

I want speculations about his relationship with Bluestar

I want HIS reaction to the Mistyfoot and Stonefur

Someone please discuss this with me

hello sharks today i

brackenfur.

the first pic is the actual bracken plant and the others are brackenfur!!

but i was thinking of why some warrior names are plain bad

dont attack me brackenfur is my favorite background character

but like?? his fur isnt bracken i see no bracken resemblance in his fur theres no bracken in the brackenfur

so here's what i would have written him as (are they called headcanons??)

1- Give him a bushier, spikier, plumed tail and call him Brackentail, as in a bracken leaf shaped or patterned tail!! theres so much resemblance

2- yes, he is your average nice guy, but he has a burning hatred for Graystripe. He just hides it extremely well.

3- nobody has asked him who his mentor is, but if it happened, he would happily respond with "Firestar!" and some good memories he had with him.

4- I kind of wish he was maybe closer to his littermates or another cat close to his age, like Ashfur or some. His page says his best friend is Dustpelt but i don't see it??

5- brackenfur can fix your house
