loosing my shit over certain ones from lis fandom being happy about people who worked on DE getting fired....🤷🏽

so full disclosure, i really hope that square enix/deck nine did away with the nazis that somehow snuck their way into the company and put horrible shit into true colors bc what the actual fuck - i have zero sympathy if they lost their employment and i hope they never get hired again in any game development space.

even though it wasn't the strongest life is strange game (narratively speaking), it's still sad that they lost their employment so close to the holidays. sure, they "broke up pricefield", but that does not mean that their unemployment should be celebrated. these are real people who have families and bills to pay. the industry has something of a significant turnover rate and it's disgusting behavior to cheer about people losing their jobs because "waaah they broke up our pricefield". like, have some goddamn empathy.

the release of double exposure has really brought out the worst in this fandom and i hope it goes away soon (and lets be real - it probably won't)

I'd never seen this 2016 interview with Michel Koch before, here's some new things I learned:

One idea that got cut is that Nathan has psychic powers and also had a vision of the tornado (an unused line that hints at this is in the trailer for ep 4)

Voice recordings happened early in the game development process. Re-recording lines would've been expensive so the developers added more lines than they needed and decided later which ones to use. This is why there are so many unused lines in the game files.

One ending of lis 1 is shorter not because of budget cuts but simply because the song they chose (Obstacles) was shorter. 😂

As opposed to a lot of fan theories - almost nothing was cut because of budget issues. The game and story is "extremely close" to how they imagined it from the start. This includes the 'hospital ending' which was cut for story reasons.

One scene that almost got cut because of budget issues was Kate's hospital scene. But Dontnod saw how much fans loved Kate and worked overtime to add this scene to ep 4. 🫶

Writer Christian Divine wrote the line about "Final Fantasy: Spirits Within' being one of the best science fiction movies ever made" for Max because it happens to be one of his favorite sci-fi movies. This was not a push by Square Enix, in fact they questioned whether it should be in the game or not because it would look like they asked for it. 😂

My rendition of Chloe and Max's designs post-LIS!! There are some bits that are inspired by other fellow artists because they're very creative :)

RANT ABOUT DETAILS BELOW:

Both of them have butterfly tattoos cuz I thought it would be adorable if they had matching tattoos - the monarch butterfly serves as a big fuck you to the Butterfly effect, yk?

I've seen some other really cool designs and loved the idea of purple haired Chloe so much I also added it here :]

They'd get a Siamese cat together and call it Bingo (to honor Bongo, Chloe's childhood cat). I can imagine Bingo being very silly and cuddly but only to Max and Chloe. If there are any guests Bingo would be very skittish and run off to the bedroom.

After the shitload of trauma that Max faced in the Dark Room (and Jeffershit), she's slowly worked up the courage to be more confident with her body, with Chloe encouraging her to wear crop tops and stuff like what she's wearing in the drawing.

Max has also taken up a hobby of taking apart broken jewelry and making new designs for her and her gf. While Max loves wearing this kind of stuff, Chloe likes to feel more free and only wears a spiral necklace.

The stars on Chloe's arm aren't tattoos, they're a product of Max getting bored sometimes and drawing on her arm just for funsies :>

Obviously this is just my headcannons so if you don't agree with these choices that's completely fair 🌀❤️
