You’d look in the mirror trying to find it. You thought that you were ugly, and that everyone was looking at you. So you learned to be invisible, to look down, to avoid conversation.

I feel tormented by love. Even in my dreams I am dissatisfied and mocked. Last night I dreamt about Erin. We were in some sort of class, and there was a film on in which a man was expressing some extreme love for a girl. I felt intensely watching this as it was very emotional and I have been craving such a grandiose romance in waking life. Erin looks to me and says "I loved you like that." That hurt so much because during the brief time that we were together, I never told her just how much I had loved her. I never told her I wanted to date her hardcore - since time was so fleeting, there was no point - and I never felt that she was entirely mine, as she was never my girlfriend and I was never her boyfriend. Which makes me feel like we really were nothing. Still I have some cherished memories of us being close and banging and smoking and acting like we loved each other. I feel like a loser for being tormented like this, it's pretty pathetic. She's a great person and I knew the whole time she deserved better things, it just makes me sad as fuck that I'll never have her back and I'll never kiss her or suck her tiddies or hold her as she cries ever again...

I know this ain't true but.. You ever feel like there's nothing more for you here, in this life? In some aspects, things are a lot like that right now. My 'friends' all fucking bore me, school is pointless, my parents have been constantly ridiculing and belittling me over both stupid and really sensitive shit, it seems like nothing I do will right my wrongs. Eternal damnation is my destiny. On the up side, music and visual art have been extremely therapeutic. I have no shortage of motivation and creativity there, but sometimes I lack stamina. that's a big problem. A tune isn't a tune until it's finished. I haven't recorded much at all, but focusing on playing is what I want right now. Performing has been a thrill, my friend and I played for my school yesterday - we killed it! Grrls is also going well, we're playing bigger realer shows. I might be getting a banjo and/or a drum kit for my birthday, so that's really pushing me forward. I'm excited to live in San Francisco, the city I've loved since childhood. Ventura is the most beautiful place I've ever known, but there's nothing more for me here.
