Of course any idea can be executed correctly if the writing’s good. I agree that the Shiro clone idea could’ve had a lot of emotional weight to it if it was handled correctly but it unfortunately wasn’t.
I actually think that the shiro clone and galra empire splintering (both handled poorly in my opinion) could’ve really worked in tandem with each other.
I love the idea of two factions of Galra use Voltron against the other as Lotor tries to retain control of his newly inherited empire while the other faction tries to knock him off the throne.
And the Shiro clone essentially being used to have better control over Voltron would’ve been a really neat idea.
The Galra Empire could’ve still been an actual threat as an Empire of that magnitude going into Civil War would’ve been devastating for the galaxy and having our heroes unknowingly play a part in it would’ve been interesting.
I hate the whole clone thing with Shiro :/ It seemed so convoluted and last minute and we have all these moments with Shiro only for it to be like “sike! That’s not the real Shiro!”

Both Stranger Things and the Halloween franchises should’ve been anthology series like originally planned. Each season of stranger things could’ve been a new sci fi horror (not originating from the upside down cause I’m tired of it) with a new cast of characters. The Halloween movies could’ve been a new Halloween story with a Michael Myers movies maybe every five years or so.

The Halloween franchise has a chance to actually do this as Halloween Kills is the end of the requel continuity of the Michael vs Laurie story so they can go the anthology route afterwards.
A new “Upside Down Studios” is being made to tell more Stranger Things story but I fear it’ll all have to do with Upside Down instead of branching out to more horrors.

I can’t shake the feeling that Steve’s ending in endgame would’ve been better if we saw more conflict within himself in regards to his decision to live with Peggy.
I know everyone practically hates his ending but the idea of it always intrigued me. I don’t think it’s well executed now mulling on it, but i feel as though people would actually like it if it was better handled.
Despite what many may think, Steve’s arc in the MCU doesn’t center around Bucky. It doesn’t center around Peggy, Sam or Sharon either. It’s all about his self-destructive selflessness. He does everything for everyone. Sure he sticks to his own beliefs, but again it all comes from his selflessness. It’s what makes him great, but it bars him from his own happiness. It keeps Steve from pursuing what he wants. Tony even hinted in Age of Ultron that Steve should chase that life. The life with Peggy. Sure it’s selfish, but there’s nothing wrong with indulging in that a tiny bit. So when people say that Steve’s ending was a selfish act, I always think: “Yeah. That’s the point.”
That’s what I liked about the infinity saga. Steve and Tony’s dynamic and how their arcs are parallel to each other. Tony learns to be selfless while Steve learns it’s okay to be a ‘lil selfish.
Now in regards to Bucky…
There’s absolutely no way Steve would leave without ensuring Bucky would be okay. This is where Steve’s ending gets a little muddy for me. In TFATWS Bucky hints that the two talked before he left. WE SHOULD’VE SEEN THIS CONVERSATION!!! We needed to see Steve’s conflict. How he wants that life but he wants to stay with Bucky. Maybe Steve even asks Bucky to come along with him only for Bucky to say no as he now wants to focus on healing from his time as the Winter Soldier. It could’ve been a beautiful send off to their friendship.

Prey was a breath of fresh air in terms of franchise films. It had all of what made the Predator franchise and the Yaujta themselves unique and cool while always updating it and being able to tell a new and interesting story with great representation.
I’d rather see original films rather than IP’s with representation of different cultures but when the industry is so filled with media doing the bare minimum, showing no respect to its established characters and stories, so stocked with nostalgia and fan service all to make a quick buck, Prey was a nice change of pace.
Now watch Blood Quantum and Reservation Dogs if any of y’all haven’t. I hope we see more first nation people in our theaters, front and center, very very soon.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the most recent season of Strangers Things. Mainly because of the weird decisions made with Steve, Nancy and Jonathan.
I thought we were done with this love triangle. Like it’s done. Bringing it back just felt forced and just really icky. Very regressive for all parties involved.
1) Nancy and Jonathan literally learned how to communicate last season. Why are they back to square one all of the sudden? They both grew together in season 3 and now we have Nancy pining after Steve (for some reason) and we have Jonathan lying about his applications to college. It just feels so forced. My problem isn’t even that I want them to stay together, it’s just that the conflict was stupid. I can see these two having a mutual break-up as Jonathan as always supported Nancy’s independence and as he said would never want to keep her from her goals. But it’s not set up like that at all. It’s just Jonathan lying and uncharacteristically being a shitty boyfriend. This man’s arc needs to be that he can have a life outside of his family and that he needs to take care of himself. It’s his undying devotion to his family that’s the core of most his conflicts in the show. The whole conflict between these two this season should’ve just been that Jonathan couldn’t afford to go to the college Nancy wants to go to and Nancy saying she’ll go with Jonathan despite really wanting to get into that school. Just have them be upfront with each other and have to make a difficult decision that’ll affect both their futures and relationship.
2) Steve. This poor poor man. He has grown so so so much but he still defines himself by whether or not he can get a girlfriend. We have seen this man try and get a partner after Nancy and none of it worked out, which is fine on its own and kinda is treated as a gag but when it’s just to push Nancy and Steve back together, it just kinda feels gross. Steve’s arc should be that he doesn’t need someone to be romantically involved with rn. He needs to learn that his platonic bonds have just helped him grow far beyond what a romantic relationship could give him. He’s grown BECAUSE he wasn’t with Nancy. And she’s grown separate from him as well. With how the show portrays their interactions this season it almost feels as though Nancy’s a prize for Steve’s growth which just doesn’t feel right at all, especially when Nancy’s so independent and really come into her own. Which is the other thing, Steve’s dream just shows that he still doesn’t understand Nancy. Nancy doesn’t want to be her mom. She doesn’t want the life Steve dreams of every night. She loves to work and have her own thing. Jonathan as a partner has always supported this. With this said, I’m not saying Steve is forcing Nancy into this or that his dream is necessarily bad, all it does is show that he and Nancy want different things out of life.
I believe this love triangle persisting is quite honestly a detriment to the show. It just comes across as though they’re twisting the characters for fan service.

For some reason I just realized that Jamie started believing in Jack Frost when a snowflake landed on the tip of his nose. Just like the saying, “Jack Frost nipping at your nose.” I don’t know why I just noticed this.

Y’know I really like Godzilla Ultima’s design. It’s one of those designs that the more I look at it the more I love it. I was worried about it at first but seeing it move really made it grow on me. I think it really might be one of my favorite Godzilla designs. I think it encapsulates the classic Godzilla design with the eldritch horror vibe really well. I hope we see him in season 2 and that they give him a defined personality.

Also I like how he kinda fights like a dog. It’s kinda adorable honestly.

This bit actually reminds me of the T-Rex killing the Gallimimus from Jurassic Park
