STORY TIME: This man is the love of my life. We met in around 2008-2009 (we’re not all that sure). We were 12-13 years old at the time and we had just become a member of the same Venturing Crew, Crew 96 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. For those who don’t know, Venturing is part of the Boy Scouts of America for boys AND girls ages 13 through 21. So basically we met as scouts. We became friends, and we had developed a small crush on each other. A crush that stayed as..well a crush. When we were 16, I changed schools to the one where he was at, and all my other scout friends. We ended up graduating from High School together. It was fun but at that time I was in a relationship with someone else. The years went by and we knew nothing of each other, ridiculous considering we lived in the same neighborhood. In 2016, I got the news that his mom had passed away and I just got dressed and headed over to his house the second I found out. When we saw each other again, for the first time in around three years, those old childhood feelings came back, but stronger this time. It’s now almost September 2017 and we couldn’t be more in love. We faced many trials and errors during most part of our relationship, and mostly due to other people wanting to break us up, but we toughed it out because we are working towards something bigger for ourselves and our lives. We finally moved out of our home in Puerto Rico and came to Florida to find a better future for ourselves. We are extremely happy and grateful that we get the chance to live together and love each other as we do every single day.

STORY TIME: In 2014 I was accepted into the Disney College Program and got the chance to work at Disney in Quick-Service Food and Beverage. My location was at Stands East in the Magic Kingdom. This was every stand and small quick service food locations located in Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Circus area in the Magic Kingdom Park. This included Gaston’s Tavern, Prince Eric’s Market, StoryBrook Treats, Nook’s, Cheshire Café, Aunty gravities, Cool Ship, Launching-Pad, etc. On July 16, 2014, as soon as my shift started I got the following task: “Create a Magical Moment”. So I did as follows: I made a huge sundae and went out to find a family I could give it to, creating a wonderful Disney experience for them. I looked around for a while and I saw a small girl dressed as Snow White and I knew that she was the person I wanted to surprise. Me and my co-worker (who was hiding the Sundae) walked up to her, got on her eye level and said “Snow White was just in the kitchen making sundaes for the seven dwarfs and she made an extra one JUST for you.” and as I said this, my co-worker appeared with the sundae in her hands and gave it to her. Mind you, this little girl was absolutely starstruck. Her eyes lit up and she opened her mouth as wide as she could. Her expression was priceless. She could not believe that Snow White HERSELF had made a sundae just for her. Her parents were so grateful they were almost crying. These are the small things that make working for the Walt Disney World Company so amazing.

STORY TIME:
My boyfriend and I just recently moved to Florida. I, being the HUGE Disney Nerd that I am, couldn't wait to at least go to Disney Springs. We’d spend hours watching Disney vlogs on youtube, but there’s one particular channel we love and it’s DFB (Disney Food Blog). We’d watch the videos as the came out hoping to plan future visits to try out the food. The night before heading to Disney Springs (which is a 2 and a half hour drive from what we now call home) we watched DFB videos and stumbled upon “The Daily Poutine”, which is a small quick-service stand at Disney Springs which sells Poutine. Doing a bit of research on this, Poutine is a sort of fast food/comfort food that Originates from Canada, in Quebec, to be more specific, and it consists of French fries and cheese curds topped with gravy. Needless to say we can’t wait to go back and have some more of it.

STORY TIME:
I love sushi. I didn’t always though. Like many human beings, I too thought sushi was disgusting at a certain point in my life. This was specially true after I tried it the first few times. As I grew older and a lot less picky with my foods, I learned to like and now LOVE sushi. This is something I recently tried, it’s a Dynamite Bento Box and it’s as lovely as it looks.

Friends
STORY TIME:
These two are anything BUT friends. In this picture you can se my dog kind of looking up at the bird. He’s waiting for the right moment to attack. The bird is confused, we are all confused. No one knows how he got up there but he did and it was as dangerous as it could have been for him. Luckily enough they weren’t alone.

A turtoise, a dog, a man.
STORY TIME:
In 2014 my family and I moved in with our grandma, who at the time was living alone. She has a rather big house, so we thought we could all live there while we took care of her. About 4-5 years earlier my cousin had bought a small tortoise. By the time we moved in that tortoise was huge. We took some space from the backyard for it to roam free (and not eat up all the plants). In this picture you can witness my dad putting up the little gate for the tortoise (who ended up destroying it anyways) and my dog who, to this day, still hates that tortoise.

Shanghai International Studies University (SISU)
STORY TIME:
In the summer of 2015 I went to SISU to study Mandarin for exactly 32 days. I took this picture the very first day of class. The day before that we went through a placement test, in which they had us read and translate some texts in Mandarin to see how much we knew. I had taken a year of mandarin, but since that was 2010-2011 I didn’t really remember much so I decided to bullshit my way through that placement test and I got placed in a pretty advanced mandarin class. I arrived early, and I waited. When the class started I realized there was no English involved. THE WHOLE CLASS WAS IN MANDARIN and I only knew how to say and understand very basic things. The professor asked everyone to stand up and present themselves in mandarin. Or so I think because that’s what everyone else was doing. I didn't understand. When it came time for me to do the same, I stood up, mumbled “我不知道 (I don’t know)” and left the classroom. Needless to say I got placed in the correct course this time.
