No matter what you say,
not everything needs to be perfect.
Like drinks that get better with a little shake,
life feels lighter when you look up at the sky,
flip your view,
change your perspective,
and know
even a bit of chaos can make something beautiful.

dear mind,
why do you keep asking for time off from the world, but never tell the world why it pushed you away?
why do you chase reason endlessly, only to fall silent when it’s your turn to explain?
why are you my chaos, and everyone else’s calm?
dear mind,
i know how you play me, but I refuse to play along.

nothing a slow walk can’t heal.
look at nature, forgetting the storms of winter,
& quietly waiting for spring to bloom.
maybe that’s the secret;
not forcing the bloom & just trusting it’ll come.

magnets only work when there’s give and take.
when you lose that balance—
when you give too much, or take too much—
you stop attracting.
you stop being magnetic.
you become something else.
just a lump that others lean on
to offload their own weight.

Window watching should be a religion.
The slow drift of clouds feels like a quiet kind of prayer.
Sunlight dripping through branches, soft and slow, like letting go.
Raindrops on glass, like the heart trying to catch up with the mind.
Nature moves, changes, breathes, and still feels sacred.
Maybe that’s the kind of magic we’re meant to honour.

some eyes look at you like you’re invincible,
like you could walk through fire and come out glowing.
others see you as a mistake with a name,
a blur. a burden.
and the thing is—
you only notice the second kind,
once you stop feeling invincible.
so maybe the trick is:
never let anything touch your invincible.
even if you have to fake it.
especially then.

habits are like the chewing gum stuck to your shoe,
they cling on as you walk in all rugged plains,
but slowly wearing away with time.
but habits die hard,
like the chewing gum that once got stuck to your shoe.
still, one day, they do fade away,
not by throwing away the shoe,
but by walking until they’re clean.

saying goodbye to winter makes me think about colours. how the world waits for them, year after year, like an old friend.
for colors are endless, fascinating in their every shade. nature paints the world, spring turns it into a festival, and somewhere, someone is always stopping to admire them.

imagine building a home filled with the kind of love they write movies about. where morning coffee tastes like peace, and silence is never heavy. where days pass without the need to raise your voice, and explanations are never owed.
you’ll get there if you imagine it. i did, and i’m here.

leave some space for dying. you don’t have to bloom in every season. let your ugly breathe and your bare branches show. but when the flowers come, celebrate them with all you have. do not shy away then.
be like cherry blossoms. make peace with the beauty in your wild, restless mind. let spring carry you to the brightest places, and when it’s time, let go.

Does knowledge grow in silence, or does it wither without a witness? A mind locked away is like a book never opened—its pages untouched, its words fading into nothing. Thought is not meant to sit still. It needs echoes, resistance, and contradiction. Left alone, it is only a whisper. Shared, it becomes a force. A.N.

Fyodor Dostoevsky said, “Realists do not fear the results of their study.”
Realists don’t look away. They see the world as it is, not as they wish it to be. They ask the hard questions, knowing the answers might change them. Because once you really see something—how people work, how systems fail, how the world keeps moving whether it’s fair or not—you can’t unsee it.
But ignoring reality doesn’t make it any softer. Realists carry the weight of knowing, not because it’s easy, but because they don’t know any better.

wherever you are, if you’re reading this,
i hope you look up when the sky begins to shift,
the little white dots, the endless lines, the changing hues.
i hope you pause to stare at a wildflower,
the delicate petals, the quiet colours, the tiny details.
wherever you are,
i hope you sneak a moment to see the beauty that exists effortlessly around us.
the same kind of beauty that exists in you.

there are almost enough songs;
enough to fill my head for hours,
to unravel metaphors, catch hidden references,
to find the perfect phrases for unspoken feelings.
there are just so many songs;
enough to keep me tied to everything i long for,
to stay in awe of poetry, in every language, every beat.
so many songs,
and almost enough, for me and my mind.
