Simon from Prozzak reminds me so much of Buzzcocks frontman Pete Shelley.

A petite, British, dark-haired, wide-eyed, hopeless romantic, forever lovelorn, sexually frustrated, self-pitying, with a similar fashion sense, spinning buzzy pop/punk/electro tunes of love and heartbreak. I hear echoes of Pete Shelley in the lyrics and sound of Prozzak, especially on Saturday People. I can totally see them covering "Ever Fallen in Love" and "What Do I Get?"

This song is wild. The first time I heard it, I was like "is...is this about a threesome???" It may just be about them macking on the same girl at the club, but the subtext is definitely there. Not to mention it goes incredibly hard. A thick slab of Y2K techno with fun sound effects that's exhilarating from the first moment to the last.

If you told me two months ago that I would get deeply, overwhelmingly obsessed with a quirky Canadian animated band, to the point of learning how to operate my local library's button maker so that I could make fan merch... I would probably say "actually, that tracks."
