valerie was just about to pass by when she turned to face morgaine with her arms crossed over her chest and tilted her head to look at her in sudden confusion. and yet...wasn't quite what advice to give. at times she barely was able to take her own. " i mean... to answer your question? i don't think so. but i'm also not an actor so i really don't know how that makes you all feel after a while. is that something that you're currently dealing with right now? " she asked. " because if you're worried about not doing well on this movie ... you're going to be just fine. "
🎬 ─ 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑 @actionstarters
SOMEWHERE JUST OFF SET ; AFTERNOON
Morgaine was sat on the floor, in full costume, with her back against the wall as she attempted to study her lines. Her script was laid out on her knees and she was tapping a pen against the open page, staring down at the coloured marks she’d made beside her dialogue. She fondly remembered watching her father do the same thing when she visited him on set as a child.
The fire of determination was burning within her; Morgaine was eager to make ‘Whispers of the Past’ her best film yet. But doubt and apprehension lurked. She wasn’t sure if it was just a blip or whether the clarity that came with age had now cured the blindness of youth. Sure, she’d been reckless and not taken some things as seriously as she should have done and perhaps that’s why she hadn’t got her real breakthrough role yet. Or maybe it was audiences that couldn’t see the true greatness of her films. The success of ‘Mercy Me’ five years ago had stoked Morgaine’s ego, yet nothing had lived up to it since and she was relying on that ‘talented Wolfe Family blood’ to do her justice this time around.
With a huff, she rested her head against the wall and looked up, asking the next person that walked past, “do you ever get imposter syndrome?” and not caring if it came across as weird or completely out of the blue. She needed reassurance that wasn’t alone in her feelings right now.

" sometimes i usually end up forgetting about the morning rush too. you wouldn't imagine how many times i come in here for coffee and the line is almost halfway out the door. i've learned to just make it from home on the days that i'm entirely in a rush. " aurora would smile at the other with a nod of her head. " safe from all the eyes and the camera's at least. that's always a plus at least, isn't it? " coffee was practically her main go-to that gets her throughout majority of her days. " i get it. i wouldn't really consider myself very well known, but i can imagine it can have it's moments and be quite overwhelming at times. " the blonde shrugged her shoulders as she thought about it. " i mean .. it may be weird to you, but to those people they probably see you as an inspiration. and i'm sure when they're asked who their favorite actress is, they're saying you. i'm sure that must feel good to think about, right? "
a grateful smile spread across sofia's lips while listening to aurora, the tension in her shoulders slowly ebbing away. " i didn't even think about the morning rush, to be honest. " she admits with a quiet chuckle, putting the book away to reach for the menu instead. " all i could think was that i needed to find a place to hide in, and a café looked good enough. " sofia's eyes survey the menu, mouth watering at the thought of a fresh, warm croissant and a massive cup of coffee. " but now that i'm here, not trying anything probably would make me a terrible person, right? " the brunette teases, tone lighter than it was when she'd sat down across from aurora. " i don't think i'll ever get used to it. don't get me wrong, i'm extremely grateful for being... well-known. " saying the word famous felt so weird, so sofia rarely ever did. " but it is kind of weird to know there are people out there who hyperventilate at the thought of being in the same room as me—i'm not even that interesting! "

being a perfectionist wasn't ever a bad thing. especially when you wanted to make sure that something went as perfectly as it could. not everything always turned out the way that you plan for it to and valerie learned that quite well at this point. " i tend to forget everything when i'm in a rush. which really doesn't help. i've set my alarm an hour before i need to be up specifically for that reason. " valerie laughed with a shrug of her her shoulders. " i figured! it's not hard to believe at all. i'm sure that you are going to do great. i mean, i know some takes may not always go as planned. but don't be too nervous! it's all going to work out. " val needed to be somewhat optimistic about things when it came to the movie.
isabelle had been a bit of a perfectionist at times, but she tried her best to hide it. she knew that people thought she was a bit spoiled as it is, it would only add more to their assumptions about her. " i get that, that happens to me too sometimes. " she admitted with a small chuckle. " no problem at all and yes, yes i am, i know it's had to believe. " she teased with a laugh.

she had looked around for someone else that may have been available to run lines with her, but aurora couldn't find anyone else that wasn't already preoccupied with having to do something else at the moment. " thanks, cass. i really appreciate it. " the blonde would laugh with a playful roll of her eyes at her sibling. " it's fine, really, i just want to make sure that i memorized my lines that i've stayed up all day doing. i don't need anything specific besides for reading them right back to me, i promise. i won't ask you for another thing all day either... except that i make no promises for. "
cassie was used to running lines at this point, despite not being an actress herself. when her sister couldn't find another actor to run her lines with, the older forbes child was her second choice, even if her acting was horrible. " oh, it's just two pages? i can definitely help then. " she admitted with a small smile, looking at the pages in her sister's hands. " i'll do my best, sis, but i make no promises. " she admitted with a small laugh.

aurora had been talking to a couple of the cast members when she saw roxie coming down the stairs of her trailer. they'd heard the music echoing from outside. while it had been still morning, she was still trying to wake herself up. coffee cup held in hand as she let her attention face the direction of roxie. " and we thought you were going to perform a whole concert for us out here. you're more wide awake than i am. " the blonde would playfully joke. " you sure you're not in a whole rock band besides for also being apart of this movie? " a slight shrug of her shoulders as she took a quick sip from her coffee. " how am i doing? well, i'm exhausted. and it's still only morning and i really think i'm going to need to head to crafts to get more snacks and coffee to get me going for today. "

Location: Outside of Roxie's Trailer in the morning
She knew that socialization was key to getting further in her career... but she couldn't resist blasting Sunshine of Your Love by Cream in her trailer and dancing to it inside before opening the door and letting everyone else hear it despite the fact it was still morning.
Effortlessly dancing down the stairs from her trailer, she stopped dancing and smiled as soon as she saw that she had an audience.
"Hey! Thought you were gonna get a free show? I don't do that kinda thing anymore, pay me. Anyways, how are ya?" She asked, her smile turning into a devilish smirk.

today was exhausting. no doubt. luckily, they seemingly had a good cast and a very helpful crew. it may of only been the beginning stages of getting things rolling. but valerie had been pleasantly surprised with the way everything has been happening this far. " too early? to take a nap on the set? " she would playfully joke as she brought her coffee up to her lips to take a sip. it had been the only other thing that was getting her through the rest of the day today. " i think we've got a little while longer to go before it's nap time. what do you say? think that you'll be able to make it through until then, or? " as much as a nap was needed for val too, she was determined to make it through today without needing to take one.

Setting back in the mobile chair, Seneca sighed, exhausted by the work he had put in today already. He felt stiff from having sat for such a long time, now that he wasn't focused on work. Stretching a little bit, he holds his arms out before bringing them back onto the table in front of him. Pushing himself away and rising from the chair, he grabbed his things from off the table and walked toward the exit. A few minutes later he was outside, lighting a cigarette and thinking he had been alone to do that. Taking a longer drag, he held the smoke in his lungs for some time before finally letting it out. Swallowing, he glanced to the side, “I wonder if it's too early to take a nap.” He muttered to himself, holding the cigarette to one side and tapping it, sending a sprinkle of ashes onto the sidewalk below.

there was a lot going on on set. especially while everyone still seemed to be settling into their positions and what everyone would be doing and working on. valerie walked over when she noticed some slight frustration plastered on the other's features. was it just simply that kind of day for all of us? it was starting to seem like it. valerie decided to be helpful and get the rest of this spilled chai all cleaned up. after all, she just wanted to see things running smoothly on this set and not turn into complete chaos. " no, no, really, it's okay, trust me. if this happened to me, i would be entirely pissed too so i do not blame you for it too. just go get yourself cleaned up and settled too if you need to, yeah? i made sure to bring some extra clothes with me in my car. so if there's something you need, then let me know. " hoping that this happened to no one else because she brought those changes of clothes for her; mostly if they were in reverse situations. " we've all had those days, i'm sure. and i'd be lying to you right now if i said that i hadn't. "
☼ sita starter ⭐︎ open to all ! ⭐︎ location: on set ⭐︎ @actionstarters ☼
after being mistaken for a craft service worker and barked at by a producer's assistant— sita was not in a shiny happy mood. it was written all over her face, in the crease between her brows and the way her lips were pressed into a hard line as she went over the filming schedule. it was being bumped into and having half her chai spill all over the floor that nearly sent her fully over the edge, but she managed to keep her litany of curse words to herself. the nearly-empty chai cup now slightly crumped in her hand, sita simply mumbled a quiet 'f☹︎ck' under her breath and resigned to mourning her chai latte in rageful peace as she looked around for the nearest absorbent material. she turned around for a brief moment to see if the crafts service table had any napkins or tables on hand, and when she turned back around, she was surprised to see someone already on their knees, sopping up the mess with some poorly mad tea-napkins. "oh my goodness, you don't have to do that," sita uttered in exasperation, quickly kneeling across from them to try and help, gathering some of the placed napkins to keep the tea from spreading any further. "i— thank you," sita sighed in defeat, using the back of her wrist to push her sunglasses back on her head, lest they fall into the dirty floor chai, “you're a savior, honestly. i'm such an airhead today, you couldn't pay me to screw my head on straight.”

with the crowded schedule that aurora had right now there was no way she had time to go and make dinner a lot of the time. usually, it was take out, a tv dinner, or her coming to grab something from one of the places closest to where she had lived. aurora was kind of minding her own business when she noticed the familiar place also at the bistro. " oh, hey! didn't know you'd be here too. honestly, no. i really didn't. could've just doordashed but i could use the fresh air. i had no clue just how tired i would've became after a few long hours on set. by the time that i've gotten home lately, i would just want to get home and fall right asleep. " when you worked on a set that would be in production for a while it was pretty hard to juggle and manage a whole lot more going on in your personal life. " i feel like that's usually how it all goes, right? "
location: hollywood center bistro open: uncapped
William was not in any mood whatsoever to make dinner tonight. Between going over the script with cast members and talking with everyone else on set, he was wiped. Not that he didn't enjoy the interactions, he did. He was just ready to unwind for the evening. So a good meal was in order first. The bistro was abuzz with activity however and Will was almost thinking he needed a reservation if not for the fact that he'd managed to get a seat at the bar. Relieved, he took the menu and was overlooking it when a familiar face appeared next to him. He smiled over at them, saying, "Oh hey, fancy seeing you here. Didn't feel like making dinner tonight either, eh?"

aurora raised an eyebrow at him for a moment when asked what she was doing here. " just kind of been wandering around and going through my lines in my head. " a shrug of her shoulders had soon followed after she'd said that. " didn't mean to interrupt whatever you were doing just now. and i know that it's probably a weird place to do it. i'm about to head back to my trailer, i need to get into wardrobe soon anyway. i think my scene is supposed to be coming up any minute now. today's been kind of a long one and i guess it gets a little boring waiting in your trailer. " hoping it wouldn't took too much longer until her name was called onto set.
@actionstarters
Fearghas sighed and came to stand at the border of the set. Lazily standing for several moments and saying nothing, his eyes glanced from one side to the other of all the viewable space within that boundary. It was like a different world altogether, when these boundaries came up. Unlike most of the rest of the world outside of it, he was part of this world, given the invite to enter it. Which he had for a while believed to be a mistake, for his own amusement. Bringing the milkshake in his right hand up, he sucked from the straw. He started to walk further into the boundary, flashing his identification to any security on the way, sneaking from then on deeper into the boundary before stopping near someone and playfully commenting, “Who let you in here?”

he totally did get it. because that is exactly what valerie would've ended up doing herself. the girl lived a little further away from where the studio was located. so, there really was no way for her to leave to go home and then come back on time. not like valerie was trying to come late than needed. " i have to leave everything out the night before. otherwise, i know for a fact that i'm going to be forgetting about something. i've also remembered to make a checklist. today's going to be a good one because nothing was forgotten. "
"I get it." He had no patience for himself, especially when it came to his job. He took pride in being professional so if he forgot something, he was cursing himself off in his head for a little bit. "I always have to put everything right on my shoes so that I don't forget anything 'cause even if it's by the door, I can still forget it. Sounds like we gotta get a post-it checklist or somethin'."

most of the time she'd consider herself to be as cheery as possible. being an actress had been a dream of rory's since she could remember. 'whispers of the past' was a genre that she didn' t do before. so this was something she was still getting into. this character was one she had wanted the most out of a couple of the ones that she'd read for. this one had simply just called out to her a bit more. " oh, thank you! it helps to have reminders in both places. otherwise? i know there's a good chance that i'll probably end up forgetting about it somehow. " she responded with a laugh as she reached out to take the extra call sheet. " you think so? sometimes i really never know if it's because of having to memorize the lines or if it's just the idea of meeting newer people and being in a different setting at all. " being really in it was true for her. hopefully, those around her would be able to see the drive and the determination she'd had. " feel free to come along! i'm pretty sure my cousin is working in hair and makeup, so we'll probably run into her while we're there. "
now there's a surprise - someone just as cheery as him, despite the time on the clock remaining firmly in the single digits. it's always nice, seeing people following their passion, so utterly and truly in their element that not even a wake up call at the crack of dawn can bring them down. absently, he thinks of the late night and 3am shoots to come. "oh, no - here, have another one. i've printed like a hundred extra, anyway." will stated with a laugh and handed her an extra sheet. somehow, those hundres surplus were all gone by the time he circled back to his office. an understanding nod - he'd been in her shoes not too long ago - will gave her a reassuring smile. "nerves are good. means you're really in it, you know?" ever toeing the line between offering well-meant reassurance and advice, and sounding like a former-actor-turned-semi-successful-acting-coach he makes sure not to dwell on the subject for too long. "i'm also on my way to hair and makeup. want some company?"

" right? especially because i live a few miles away from here. so, having to run back to go and get it would end up making me later than i would've cared to be. " overpacking sometimes is better than under packing. " being prepared is something that i always try to be. you never know when you're going to need something while on set. especially since our days could go into the next morning. you really never know. " she responded with a shrug of her shoulders. the movie was surely going to be a great one with all of the talent that they seemed to have so far. as long as there weren't anything to push filming back they'd be all set. " i feel like everyone has been pretty great so far. i've met a good majority of the actors so far and i know how excited everyone seems to begin. " it was all fresh and new so that also came to be the fun of it. " thankfully i'm producing so i won't have to be in front of the camera this time. what about you? rehearsing your scenes still or have you got them all set to go? "
Olivia chuckled, nodding in agreement. "I totally get that. There's nothing worse than realizing you forgot something important and not being able to just pop home to grab it. Overpacking can feel a little ridiculous at times, but at least you're prepared when things don't go as planned. And hey, I'm sure you'll be fine." Olivia was proud of the people that she had casted and couldn't wait to see how it all would come together. "I think this cast is by far my favorite that I have picked so I have no worries about how you will do. It's going to be so different seeing it all come together but I'm excited. Have you already filmed or are you still waiting your turn?"

running lines was something that was an essential part of being an actress. majority of the time this sort of thing only helped when the other person was also cast in the project. but as of right now everyone seemed to either be busy or probably getting themselves ready, in their trailers, or in hair and makeup waiting for them to tell us when they were ready to start the filming process. " i know you're not one of the actors in this, cass. i just need someone to run this with me. it's only two pages and it's a serious scene... " she paused before continuing to speak. " i need you to try your best to be serious and not make me laugh in this otherwise we won't get anything done. " rory could be quite a perfectionist when she was working on building up her character for the performance to come. " think you'll be able to try and do that for me? key word here is try. "
cassie was used to running lines with her sister, despite not being part of the principal cast herself. whenever it came to her sister's job, she loved helping her sister whenever she could, even if she did mess up at times due to not being the actor in the family. " you of all people should know i'm not one of the actors in this, rory. " she teased with a small chuckle. " but what do you need help with? i'm sure i can be of some help regardless. "

valerie sometimes she felt like she was the only one. it could've sounded silly to other people to just let your mood or your day become worse due to just forgetting something silly. but it wasn't to her. luckily, she had been getting better at remembering. val also had her PA to help her and keep her organized. so, in a way, she didn't need to worry about getting herself too stressed for no reason. " organization has been something i've been getting better at. yet at times i feel like i can be a mess at times. " she gave the other a smile at her words. " well thank you. if anything comes up, i'll be sure to let you know. are you one of the actors on the film? " val would question, trying to still get to know all of the actors that had been cast.
isabelle would be lying if she said she wasn't a fan of valerie's; she was probably one of the nicer producers she's met throughout her entire career. looking at the other's bag, she chuckles at the other's words. " no, i get that completely. i'd probably be the same if i wasn't so organized, honestly. really though, let me know if you do need anything, i'm sure i can help. "

aurora felt like being prepared but not overly prepared left her to be able to do her best work. it was hard enough to have to remember pages upon pages. but as of now, she was told that she was only shooting this scene for the day, so, she was hoping that people could've at least given her feedback if they thought it needed more or even less dramatics. the smallest bit of notes would hopefully help her performance be better than it was when she was simply just practicing in her mirror. " no, it's really okay. you don't have to be an actor to run them with me. i kind of just wanted to make sure i could remember them. maybe you could tell me if you think it needs to be more or less dramatic. " she felt like she was just rambling on and on. had to be on set nerves. not that she meant to. " anything helps, truly. if you're in a rush, then, don't let me stop you. i know we're all still just getting settled into things around here. "
as much as she hated hovering, mia had to do an awful lot of it just to make sure everyone looked camera-ready. she'd been doing a lot of test runs on anyone who found themselves in her trailer, but today she was simply wandering around, getting a feel for everyone that she'd be seeing on set. it wasn't the best habit in the world, but most of the time she could slip by unnoticed. but the question posed in her direction threw her off, and with a wide gaze, mia turned to shake her head. "i'm not actually in the production, so i'm not much help. i can still run lines with you, but i fear i'm a bit of a dud acting-wise."

" alright, alright. i promise i will leave a little bit of a mess, just so you have something to do. even if it pains me to be disorganized even if it is just for a minute. " valerie was only joking but she really was thankful to have a helping hand around her on set when need be. paige really did help keep everything go smoothly on longer and harder production days. balance was always important and she felt that they had worked nicely as a team together. especially since this wasn't the very first time they'd worked together. " appreciate you for that, truly, p. don't forget it, okay? updates are ... we're shooting by 9am today. we're going over all of the blocking for most of it beforehand. i heard we had an actor coming in late ... hoping that they don't set the schedule back. "
"Don't do anything too organised or I'll be out a job." Paige teased. She'd worked with people before that were far more disorganised than Valerie but at the same time a girl liked to feel useful so she didn't want Val to do too much without her. Currently they had a nice balance, or at least in Paige's mind they did.
"I'm not going anywhere okay, you don't have to worry. Now, what exactly at your plans today? Any updates?"

" okay and i know that you're right so i will just be quiet, sit, and let you do your thing. " aurora put back her blonde hair into a bun so that way mari would've been able to focus on her makeup without having to worry about her hair getting in her face. on set makeup was usually so much different from the way that she was used to doing it when she was outside of work. but really getting into the whole vibe of a character was the fun part of it all. " does chamomile tea actually work? i've heard mixed reviews from people sometimes. but i have considered giving it a try. if you think it works, then it's something i'll have to look into. i really need to break out of my having coffee all day until i go to sleep habit i ended up falling into. " rory was more than willing to take up mari's advice since it was something their grandma used to do for her. " i'm going to add this to my list the next time i go grocery shopping. so, tell me. any other projects you've got lined up for when this movie production ends? "
“there's no point in patching over the problem when we can just paint over it.” she ghosted over the alcohol wipes perched at the table’s edge, plucking one free. the coolness seeped into her palms as she cleaned her hands, the faint scent of sterile citrus rising between them. discarding it, mari's fingers wiggled above the cluttered tabletop, dancing idly over brushes and tubes before landing on a sleek, glass jar - its peachy contents barely disturbed.
“you should try drinking chamomile tea.” mari suggested with a shrug, tapping her index finger against the creamy pigment, warming the product up beneath her fingertips. “it's proven to help with sleep. something about apigenin - it binds to some receptors in your brain... i think? grandma used to give it to me when i wouldn't go to sleep.”
