im not into the new aphmau content but lordddd i just went to check it out… no hate to this voice actor but it just… it doesnt fit, like this intense effort in creating a soothing, like gentle attractive voice, ah its not working. its like, what was previously just the nature, playful intonation, of laurances voice, now seems to be forced out in seduction(?). its also like theres a new director who has flipped through 800 pages of script in 2 hours and claims they understand the characters well, meanwhile they only picked and chose certain details to define the character incorrectly. (but also who am i to complain because all around in every series is he introduced as “casanova” and known to be a ladies man so whatever about it).

and the green, certainly is not working at all either. its too bright! even the darker green on him is too bright, and the light green is also too bright. although i get that “laurances color is green, aarons color is red, garroths color is blue” like this, buttttt… this green is not laurances green please… a nostalgic navy blue coat would have worked better 100%

i pause my drama at the climax of the conversation, where the main lead is finally told that shes not who shes been for the last several months, acting as a different person out of her own accord because she has a grave condition of amnesia. but shes finally told. and right before i paused it, she was in the middle of her breakdown saying “im not her? i didnt do all those terrible things? i have to tell everyone!” and she drifts off… ive been thinking about it all day… she will either rejoice in this, and then she will slump down and say “but who will believe it, my life is ruined, etc etc.” or, she will say, in my utter dissatisfaction, “when did you know this?” and lo and behold, she said exactly that. ahhhh why do they always say this… and then they turn on the one who was helping them. its not that they were hiding it from you, its that they needed solid proof. im sure she wouldnt have wanted to been told “you are not who you think you are” to ask “then who am i?” and receive “i dont know.” thats distressing!!!

honestly, it was probably a faithful jury of nine member, ordered by zane, at gartes behest. garte probably said some shady words “i assume you know what has to be done.” to zane and he took that as “lets kill him” and issued some jury of nine member (surely not katelyn or jeffory, and perhaps not ivy? but probably lillian or another unnamed or unseen juror…). but it still comes down to whhyyy…? garte wasnt the best dad, definitely more of a ruler than a father or husband. if i remember correctly, o’khasis was bordering on becoming an autocracy or something and bringing all the other villages under its command.. vylad is an illegitimate child and surely wouldnt get any benefits. vylad probably started a rebellion in secrecy. not because his lack in benefits or probably unfair upbringing in comparison to zane or garroth, who were gartes children by blood, but because he could see the direction his fathers rule was taking, and knew that something had to be done.. he wasnt planning any assassination, it was more like protests, but the same couldnt be said about other participants who jumped on this rebellion because they hated garte and thus wanted him dead…

"I died, Aphmau. Stabbed in the back. Everything I had that day died with me." The question is... by who? And why?

An "unspecified" Jury of Nine member refers to if you believe someone in the Jury of Nine killed Vylad, but you don't know who specifically.

"An O'khasis supporter / Vylad hater" was the best way I could think to phrase someone who is not necessarily someone hired for the job, but who still does the deed under the impression it will help Garte/O'khasis in some way. TLDR: If you believe Vylad's death is politically motivated and done to support O'khasis, you should probably pick this one.

"An O'khasis hater / disapprover of the Ro’meave family" is basically the inverse of this. Someone who is not necessarily hired for the job, but does the deed because they do not approve of Garte/the Ro'meave family, or intend to harm O'khasis. TLDR: If you believe Vylad's death is politically motivated and NOT done to support O'khasis, you should probably pick this one.

thinking about .. spirealm and the kaleidoscopes… although the books name is called “kaleidoscope of death”, ive read majorityy of the series so far but there are no kaleidoscopes? so im inclined to believe that its a metaphor.. however the show spirealm does have kaleidoscopes. im rewatching the show to refresh the details, but i can recall that the ghost of the first door realm, who was the daughter of the inn owner and the chief of the village, she owned a kaleidoscope. as well as the ghost of the third door, sachiko, she also had a kaleidoscope. i can’t remember if the others had one, or if these two were the only ghosts… but honestly if this is a recurring theme of the door ghosts having kaleidoscopes, i wonder if nanzhu having a kaleidoscope is supposed to be a hint for him also being a door ghost? hear me out… i saw a forum post sayingggg that the entireettyy of the series is supposed to be the “twelfth door”, and its exactly why the players are able to take props out of the doors. not to mention door twelve was what again? wasnt it an empty space that nanzhu said was incomplete?? qiushi said “birth, old age, illness, and death. the pain of parting with a loved one. the bitterness of not getting what one desires. the resentment for unpleasant happenings. sometimes people are confused and their minds are clouded. worries, sorrow, sadness, anger.” these are the 12 negative emotions that he implies is represented throughout each door realm. perhaps this nonexistent 12th door realm is the very world he is in now… and to leave it, he must bear “the pain of parting with a loved one.” hmmmm…
