Yea. Like Rob is absolutely my favourite character and I will adopt him at the drop of a hat, but over these last 6 years I've appreciated the show in general and not just him. I adore Rob but I also adore the amount of love and creativity that's gone into episodes that don't include him aswell. Also Rob is like Bill cipher. He's like a secret character that only shows up occasionally and because his appearance is rare, it build up tons of hype and fandom discussion. Also Ben has said "Rob will get justice finally" so don't freak out just yet😅

no rob in the first 20 episodes??? This is insane...

honestly, no, it's not insane? as i talked about on my twitter, i think some of us rob fans have been ungrateful and unfair lately

it wouldn't make sense for him to just appear in the first few episodes like it's nothing. he's an important and serious character. his return will be a major plot point, so it needs to build up, not to happen ASAP with no payoff? this isn't the first time he's been the focus of the season finale anyway (see The Disaster)

i think we need to take a step back and remember that this show isn't about rob. like i said, he's important, but he's not a main character. the general audience doesn't want to jump straight into the void to save elmore and rescue the weird schrödinger's villain/anti-hero guy. they want to spend lighthearted time with the Wattersons, have the show run how it normally does for a while!

plus, the first half of the season releases all at once in 3 days. it can't take that long for the other half to come out because they're already working on it
