"I am afraid.", Ivar said slowly; his eyes darted back to Heahmund, and he bit his lower lip softly.

The tall Christian smiled at him. "You don't have to be. I'll always be by your side."

"Even in death?" Ivar claimed, and he felt with a low hum how Heahmund took his hand and held it tight.

"Even in death."

Ivar's gaze slid slowly and almost amused down over Heahmund's chest, when the Christian hissed some words at him. He wasn't even listening properly; his thoughts were far too absorbed in what the Christian would look like naked above him, breathing hard. When his head turned to the side, Ivar couldn't hide a cheeky smile.
