"In any case, with how everyone is...he won't pay attention to you at all."

Meaning everyone might be took weak for his notice, but thankfully he would say, that there was nothing of that demon in the city. otherwise there would be no city at all to be had.

"The holy void, the barren wastelands. Most likely you would have never heard of it."

A pause.

"I'll pay, for your drinks if that is fine."

Umbra closes her eyes and breathes in through her nose. The air at the table grows unusually still. The other three women hold their breath along with Umbra, waiting to hear what she says next.

Finally, Umbra speaks. "I see."

"Well, thank you for letting us know. We have our weapons, but Maria... does not. We'd need to rectify that for a foe such as he."

"For now, I suppose we should count our blessings. May I ask where you hail from, sir? We'll keep an eye out for this Guy of yours, and let you know if we hear anything."

Maria drums her fingers against the table. Pearl and Anne look on with worried expressions. It's the most they can do for now. They'll just have to live with that.

"It looks awkward to wear everyday." A comment said with absolute sincerity since the other one was wearing a blind fold."

Satoru looks down at his clothes, a little frown on his face. What's wrong with his (modified) uniform?

"Come on. It's not that bad!! Is it?"

"With all old friends appearing, he might be. And your guns...well right now, their all useless."

A pause.

"Perhaps, but if he was here, would there still be a city? most likely not."

Dagruel...smiles.

"Don't worry about it. if you know he's here, he'll make himself known. Blood will flow, but it hasn't yet."

"Mm." Maria looks down at her drink. "Yeah, I think we'd need some better guns for that." The BB gun on her holster wouldn't be enough for whoever that was.

Umbra looks up at the mention of spells. "Pardon, but is this 'Guy' in the city with you?"

"I'd like to know if this is someone we need to watch out for."

"He has enough spells to destroy this whole city, so I wouldn't recommend it."

Had a moment where something had crossed his face, some emotion that was...certainly not the laid back look he's been giving the whole time. but it passed for a second only.

The dragon had fallen asleep due to alcohol consumption!

Anne and Umbra turn their attention back to the dragon. Anne says, "Look, Umbra! He's drinking!"

"I can see that, yes." Umbra rubs her chin. She has to wonder how healthy that is...

Maria takes Dagrael's words as a warning. Pearl lowers her purse, looking less embarrassed. They may not look like it, but all four of them had taken on monsters, men, and gods alike.

"A guy called Guy, huh? Got it. Y'know, we don't back down from much... So if there's someone — or something — gettin' your goat, then I wouldn't mind to hear it."

"And a cheers for your own first time here."

Wrong wording but you get the jist of it. After all first timers adapt, and she felt comfortable enough to start drinking as well. Though it must be the presence of friends here. a bit odd that there were conveinetly two of them at the same time. was it a permanent thing?

the little dragon, not one to be forgotten had begun to lap out some of the alcohol in his mug.

"Cheers for you, for seeing old friends once again. If you see a crimson hair man name Guy, just in case. Start running."

Still wearing the same grin, Anne turns to Umbra when the man mentions not knowing the name of his pet. Umbra sighs, not wanting her affinity with animals to be used as a cheap party trick.

When Dagrael calls over a barrel of booze, the little dragon is quickly forgotten. Maria raises her root beer glass, while Pearl raises her eyebrows, stunned.

"Now that's a hearty drink!" says Maria. "All for you, big guy?"

Pearl leans over and asks her friend, "Maria, how do you know this man? He's so, um..." The words escape her right now. She holds her purse a little closer to her face.

Maria shrugs. "I just know 'im. You get to meet people here just by walking around. And this would be his second time in this city, if I ain't mistaken."

"I could have, but this was much faster." a giant, means being strong, Stronger then any human can naturally be. being superior to the humans physically at the very least. the truck was returned back into position, the slight strain it took...

"Is it a problem?"

Chuuya could do this too, probably, but in a different way -- picking up a car is easy for someone who can manipulate gravity. But this guy seemed to be doing it just due to his raw strength.

"Did you seriously just pick up that truck, dude? Couldn't you have gotten whatever you needed out the regular way?"

Its a party of dangerous creatures, Dagruel thinks a bit unkindly. Every time women of any kind gather to drink, most of the time someone gets hurt. but at the very least they seem sober, best to keep the conversation short.

"He has no name yet, but one would never know. Perhaps I'll learn in time. but as far as I understand..."

He gives a giant shake of his shoulders. muscles rippling.

"Barkeep, the usual."

What came after was ... a giant barrel, barrel of alcohol. The dragon kroons, as if sensing something, or maybe smelling the fermentation inside.

Another night on the town with her posse is a good night in Maria's books. She knows they don't have long in Spirale, so she's determined to make the most of their time.

Between shots of root beer, Maria spots a familiar giant across the room. She smiles at him and raises her glass, inviting him to pull up a chair.

"Hey, look who it is!" she says. "It looks like you brought a friend with you." She tips her hat to the green dragon on Dagruel's shoulder. Who knew they allowed pets?

"Cute! Reminds me of my horse," says the woman with green makeup and a green flower in her hair. "Where'd you pick 'em up? And what's their name?" She twirls her hair at the reptile.

The redhead seems more surprised by the — lizard? gator? — than the other three. The woman with the white hair quietly sips her drink.

"It is a hassle, but I know powerful people who would be very bothered by it. Thankfully with age comes wisdom."

"I suppose I wasted enough time, for the both of us. I will take my leave."

A fighter? Now that he mentioned it, he did have more muscles on him then most of the people she saw.

"Well, then I'll make sure not to pry too hard into your secrets and leave them be."

"Huh, is that so? Well, I'm sure the planets are thankful for that, I can't imagine it's ease for them to adjust to such things constantly."

"Though I did sink a few continents when I was much younger. But thats in the past now, I'm a very relaxed man."

Earthquake was an alias of his? Now that does catch her attention. Because there's usually some truth behind nicknames and alias, and it makes her tilt her head.

"Oh? You have the ability to cause the tectonic plates on a planet to shift? My that's rather impressive, I've yet to encounter any souls that could do such a thing where I am from."

Dagruel doesn't care, really.

but he can't afford to be picky about allies.

"Dagruel, though my alias is Earthquake, you'd best not invoke my wrath? Haha, I'm joking."

"A joke to lighten the mood.

He only knew places to drink? Honestly, it wasn't something she was super interested in right now, so she sees no reason to ask about them.

"Oh-" She mutters out with a slight hum, now realizing how rude she's been.

"I have yet to introduce myself, my apologies, it slipped my mind. I am Mira, who might you be?"

"Human fashion sense, once again does not make sense."

Speaking like a tired father , at the very least thats the worst statement he's going to give once he see's the existence that is Satoru Gojo.

"Ha. I wouldn't know, I was never human to begin with."

He looks like a giant of a man, but he is indeed in fact a giant. but he won't expound on that considering that Dagruel would like this vacation to be more relaxing.

"But perhaps being so near humans everyday would fix that."

so he had a bit of bite to him. . . good !

"aw. was it something i said ? i mean no offense," hands raise defensively, shaking back and forth. "i simply wished to jab a bit of fun."

did he ? not really. passive comments were his favorite.

"come on, now . . . don't you know us humans love a bit of mockery ?" a shrug. "surely, you'd be used to it, right?"

"I can assume you don't like thinking at all, like your appearance give s the impression of."

indirectly he calls Ferid a dumb head, a stupid forgetful absent minded person, though in truth he had a close friend who looked like that, but was the strongest demon lords out there. dagruel doesn't , actually doesn't care for mixing words.

"Sadly I don't talk with too many humans...people to know, everyone I know is a massive drinker."

aah ! he forgot how humans ( ? ) talk so much about memories and useless connections ! they always developed connections and hung onto them so blindly, it was practically sending him to sleep !

"uh huh , uh huh !" he nods. he doesn't have a clue what the man is talking about. he listens to krul talk and talk about the most meaningless things all the time, but at the very least he benefited from it in the longer run. "hey, did you ever think about forgetting all that mess of overthinking ? less worries to concern yourself with if you just forget it all !"

at that, ferid crosses on thigh over the other and leans his chin on his hands. those without the disease of vampirism were often affronted with their own mortality on a daily basis, so it makes sense that others may have thought so hard on this. "that's what the wine's for, no? drink and drink and drink and forget. people sure do get silly after a glass too many."

"The city has changed a bit, so..."

there were far more new places to explore, and most stores were gone now. time passes fast for humans, and mortals and he didn't know how much longer he had been gone.

"I only know of places to drink. Everything else...decide on your onw."

Mira opens her mouth to speak for a moment when he mentions she's no longer on the ship, before closing it and looking away. He had a very good point there.

Yet, her eyebrows knit when he mentions having no responsibilities or any due diligence. Another fair point, yet it that was something that had been a very hard thing to accept while she was stuck on the ship as well.

So, she decides to let that topic be for now, wanting to move on from it as she looks towards him again.

"Since you've been here before, any places you recommend trying first?"

"Well, you are not on this ship anymore."

"It is a brand new way to relax, I suppose with all the festivities happening everywhere. No responsibilities, no due diligience needed." Dagruel listing off everything that can make a person happy, perhaps.

Or that he knows nothing is permanent and whatever happiness you gain will fade away, memories forgotten.

Drink? Food? Oh, something akin to a feast or festival is what that sounded like.

"I will have to keep that in mind for me to 'enjoy' the city with. On the ship, I never ate much of the food since I tried to mostly stay out of the crews way.. But given that isn't something I need to do now..."

Mira hums out in thought, not even thinking about the bigger problem learning how and where to go about getting food and drinks while here.

"Indeed, selective selection. And natural test results, they are merely people who pretend to be smart. Who only have the luxury of protection because they have the means to return us."

"But we are often left to our own devises, it is a bit relaxing. Much like a vacation needed after years of hard work." One wine glass raises in salute before he downs it in one go. the wine glass looking comically small in his hands.

a friend ? oh, lovely! that's just what ferid has been working so intensively on ! it must come so easy here.

ferid picks up the glass and raises it to eye level, drumming his nails against it as he listens. he smiles, of course he does, nodding along with what dagruel says - yet, there seems to be no sign of sadness at the notion he had no friends.

" hm, hm . . . if you've anything else, i'll gladly accept," well, he wouldn't, but he knows the human game well. offer alternatives, receive none, but it's still an alternative offered ! "surely, you're alone ? i certainly am, too. i don't think our captors are all to keen on bringing along everyone from home."
