So. Was that a fully present Tai? Or just straight up was that Tai? I cannot imagine the erudite Taissa Turner not knowing what foie gras is, allow foie gras to be an exception to her intentional vegetarianism, or order it and just finish her mouthful when she fully spat out an hors d'ouevre with meat in it while campaigning for state senate and being at a public event with potential donors.

My taste in romance has less to do with how romantic the relationship actually is (though that is a bonus) and more to do with how interesting I find the dynamic between the couple. Which is why fluffy vanilla romance usually bores the hell out of me. I want to see how these characters dramatically affect each other and fundamentally change each other and their individual understandings of the world!!! I want to see a beautiful tie-in between the romance and the themes + messages of the story and how it all builds to a climax!!!

Smut fic on AO3 always seems to have a way lower kudos to hits ratio than non-smut fic; because a larger percentage of people reading feel ashamed to attach their screen name to a kudos on an adult fic.

Which is a shame, really.
