What pets would Yata and Fushimi have and what do you think would have happened to any pet after Fushimi left?

We’re talking pre-betrayal here? I imagine them probably having something small, since they have limited space and limited budget plus they’re probably not home a lot once they join Homra so something that needs more attention like a dog or cat probably wouldn’t be a good idea. They’d probably be best with something that can stay in a cage and isn’t likely to run away if visiting Homra members accidentally leave the door ajar or something. Whatever they get, Fushimi would refuse to be the one who takes care of it in any way (because he’s a lazy butt like that) so Yata would probably be doing all the work. If they had a fish for some reason I could see Yata being the one who feeds them and cleans the tank but Fushimi ends up frequently fascinated by them and sometimes Yata comes back to find Fushimi just sitting in front of the tank quietly staring. Yata would probably be totally up for something “cool” like a snake and get considerably less enthused when Fushimi informs him that they don’t have the room for a big snake and would have to get a little grass snake if anything. (And at one point Yata totally innocently suggests an ant farm and doesn’t notice how Fushimi stiffens a little before blandly stating “What kind of idiot would want to stare at ants all day” and that’s the end of that.)

After Fushimi leaves, I don’t know if Yata would keep the pet, would depend on how attached he is to it. If it was fish I could see him giving it to Kusanagi to put in the bar’s fish tank (assuming the fish is compatible with the type of tank and fish the bar has) or even giving it to Anna to put in her room. I think he’d be more attached to something larger and might want to keep it even if it reminds him of Fushimi, and besides Yata did all the caring for the pet anyway so it’s not like it’ll be neglected suddenly. Meanwhile at Scepter 4, Munakata casually mentions to Fushimi that pets are allowed within the dorms (because Munakata knows all) and Fushimi just kinda nods and mutters about how pets are a bother anyway what kind of overly energetic idiot would want to be bothered with that sort of thing.
