Hey y’all! Due to a lot of outside circumstances, hello pleco is going on a hiatus.
I haven’t abandoned it, and hope to be back to pleco posting soon! There’s so much to post and reblog!
Thank you for the support and understanding.
Be back soon!

The good lady BB Wolfe survived her unfortunate jaunt outside of the tank, and the ensuing air burns she received from drying out, with only minor smooth scarring left at the tip of her snout and a little near either side of her dorsal fin. We've since closed up the very small hole by the output that she squeezed through. She is very shy and won't let me get a photo of her snout properly tonight, so maybe another time.
Update: she held still. You can see the smooth-looking, grey scars on her snout at the tip.

We ended up not having to do anything special; I knew there was a risk of fungal infection on wounds like that, but her tank is very healthy so I gave it some time and kept an eye on her. I saw some soft scabbing for the couple of days before I left for vacation, and when I returned she was out and about looking like above.
Good job, ma'am!
