an apologetic tone is adopted when she answers pentious with a stammer, wringing her hands: ❝ w-well, that's an entirely reasonable expectation to have. ❞ nonetheless, charlie mentally notes: write down some starter tips!!! and attempts to be perfectly transparent with her guest as she continues: ❝ to be honest, i'm not sure if there's a one size fits all approach to redemption. it's a personal journey. ❞

charlie follows vaggie's lead, although she is reluctant to abandon her mountains of frantic doodles and notes scrawled in her signature pink cursive, she speaks the truth. she's been working hard — not hard enough. however, a warm bed and snuggles as a reward for her efforts so far . . . sounds divine.

❝ hehe, you're right. thanks hon. ❞ she softly meets her touch as fingers slip away. a grin crosses her lips despite herself as she daydreams already of sweet slumber. she yawns whilst turning out the light, padding down the hall after her, keekee winding and weaving around her legs. the ever-present problem of redemption can briefly wait a few hours until morning.

as she shrugs off her suspenders, it occurs to charlie that she hasn't talked with her beloved much today, absorbed in her big plans as she had been. kicking off her shoes, she asks gently: ❝ how was your day? ❞

❝  alright,  missy  --  it's  way  past  your  bedtime. ❞  she  approaches  charlie,  patting  her  on  the  back.  she  begins  motioning  her  out  of  the  office  and  towards  the  hallway.  ❝  c'mon,  the  bed's  not  gonna  get  any  warmer. ❞  she  says  with  a  soft  smile  on  her  face  to  encourage  the  other  to  go  with  her.
