Stories behind the portrait. Balan family.

O altă familie care ne-a atras atenţia a fost familia Balan, alcătuită din 4 membri – soţii şi două fetiţe minunate. Cea mai mare, Dănu��a ( 9 ani ) a suferit o traumă la naştere şi suferă de paralizie cerebrală, nu poate vorbi şi nici nu se poate mişca. Şi cu toate că această situaţie nu are nici un remediu, atât părinţii cât şi surioara mai mică – Sorina, au fost mereu cu zâmbetul pe buze şi au făcut împreună un portet de familie care spune mai multe decât orice cuvânt. Hospice Angelus Moldova

Another family that draw our attention were the Balan family, consisting of 4 people- the parents and their two beautiful daughters. Due to a birth trauma, their oldest daughter Dana, 9 years old, is suffering from cerebral palsy, which is an incurable illness. Regardless to this, her parents and little sister did not stop smiling and took a portrait together, a family portrait that tells you more than any words could ever express. Hospice Angelus Moldova

Еще одна семья, которая привлекла наше внимание, семья Балан, состоящая из 4 человек - муж с женой и двое прекрасных дочерей. Их старшая дочь Дана (9 лет) при рождении пострадала от травмы  и страдает от церебрального паралича, не может ни говорить, ни двигаться. И хотя это неизлечимо, родители Даны и её младшая сестра Сорина не переставали улыбаться и сделали вместе семейный портрет, который говорит лучше любых слов. Hospice Angelus Moldova

Stories behind the portrait. Ion.

Mergeam duminica dimineața spre Help Potrait si l-am zărit pe dl. Ion măturînd în fața unui local din centrul orașului. Am decis de ce să nu-l invit pe acest om carismatic și energetic la eveniment, de ce să nu-i fac ziua putin mai deosebită.  Aproape toată echipa a reușit să-l cunoască pe dl Ion.  Dumnealui lucrează să facă ceva bani deasupra la pensiunea care o primește pentru a sustine sotia lui care recent a avut o operatie. Desi viata e grea si dl. Ion lucrează in fiecare zi, el nu scapă o ocazie sa zîmbească:)

I was on my way to Help Portrait on Sunday morning, when I saw this charismatic old man sweeping the road in front of a well known cafeteria in downtown of Chisinau. I've decided why not to invite him to Help-Potrait and make his day just a little better. Almost the whole team got a chance to chat with this energetic man. He is working everyday to earn some extra money, since the pension he receives is not that much of money, in order to support his wife who recently underwent an operation. Though life is hard and Ion works every day, he doesn't miss an opportunity to smile:)

В воскресенье утром я направлялась на Help Portrait, когда увидела этого харизматичного дедушку, подметaвшего дорогу перед немало известным кафе в центре города. Я решила, почему бы не пригласить его поучаствовать в Help Portrait-е и, таким образом, хотя бы немного сделать  его день веселее. Почти все участники акции успели познакомиться и пообщаться с этим энергичным человеком. Он работает каждый день, зарабатывая деньги, чтобы содержать свою жену, которой только недавно сделали операцию, так как пенсии, которую он получает, совсем ни на что не хватает. Хоть и жизнь далеко не сказка, дедушка Ион работает каждый день и не упускает возможности улыбаться :)

Stories behind the portrait. Iulia, Alexandru and Valentina.

                              Iulia e din Vadul lui Vodă şi a venit împreună cu copiii săi- Alexandru (2,5 anişori) şi Valentina ( 9 luni). Şi aceşti pui de om sunt crescuţi doar de mama şi întreţinuţi din îndemnizaţiile statale şi ajutoarele de la fraţi. Şi cu toate că fiind mici de tot, le era frică de aparatele foto, atmosfera caldă şi zâmbetele fotografilor au reuşit să-i convingă pe copii să pozeze râzând. Şi familia Hranovskaia s-a întors acasă cu un portet de familie şi cu ochii strălucind de bucurie. Copil Comunitate Familie

Iulia is from Vadul lui Vodă and she came to Help Portrait with her children- Alexandru (2,5 years old) and Valentina (9 months old). The children are both raised only by Iulia with the help from her brothers and monthly allowances from the government. Though they were really scared of the camera, the warm atmosphere and the smiling photographers made the children pose and have pictures snapped of them laughing. Iulia's family went home with a printed portrait and happiness twinkling in their eyes. Copil Comunitate Familie

Юля приехала со своими детьми - Александром (2,5 лет) и Валентиной (9 месяцев) из Вадул-луй-Водэ. Деток воспитывает Юля с помощью своих братьев и пособия от государства. И, хотя они боялись камеры, благодаря теплой обстановке и улыбающимся фотографам, детей удалось разсмешить. Юлина семья вернулась домой с семейным портретом и радостью в глазах. Copil Comunitate Familie

Stories behind the portrait. Aliona, Eugen and Valentina.

Aliona a venit de mânuţă cu doi copilaşi- Valentina (5 anişori) şi Eugen ( 7 anişori). Această mamă îşi creşte singură copiii şi singurele surse de venit sunt îndemnizaţiile din partea statului şi micile ajutoare de la rude.  Şi dacă la început picii erau timizi şi un pic speriaţi, după ce şi-a primit portetul, întreaga familie a plecat acasă cu zâmbetul pe buze şi cu o nouă speranţă în suflet. Copil Comunitate Familie

Aliona came with her two children- Valentina (5 years old) and Eugen ( 7 years old). Aliona is raising her children on her own  and the only sources of income are small allowances from the state and some help from the relatives. Though, at at first Valentina and Eugen were shy and a little bit scared, after having received their portrait, the whole family went home with a smile on their faces and a new hope in their hearts. Copil Comunitate Familie

Алена пришла с двумя маленькими детьми - Валентиной 5-ти лет и Евгением 7-ми лет. Алена сама воспитывает детей, единственным источником дохода являются небольшие пособия от государства и помощь родственников. И, если вначале детки были застенчивы и немного побаивались, то, получив портрет, вся семья ушла домой с улыбкой на лице и с новой надеждой в сердце. Copil Comunitate Familie

This is about GIVING the pictures, not taking them. These portraits are not for your portfolio, website, or for sale. Money isn’t involved here. This holiday season, you have the chance to give a family something they may have never had before—a portrait together.

Our mission? Our mission at Help-Portrait is simply to equip and mobilize you, the photography community. We want to make sure you have all the information that you need to successful participate in Help-Portrait Chisinau. We want to help you find other people in your area that are wanting to be part of Help-Portrait or have already begun to plan the event. We want you to have the opportunity to give.
