Perhaps I'm still just a little bit naive but I will never stop being horrified at how easily and normalised and commonplace bigotry and extreme xenophobia against Israelis has become. It's so ubiquitous that it barely raises an eyebrow in any circle.

Israelis have ceased to be human beings to so many people - instead they are all viewed as nebulous, evil, bloodthirsty monsters, gleefully stomping Palestinian bones into the dust.

Somehow, people are able to differentiate citizens from problematic governments for literally any other country on earth, including their own but don't give that respect and interiority to Israeli citizens. I wonder why... Just kidding. I know why.

Just saw fantastic four and I loved it but two hours later the thing that sticks with me the most is Ben Grimm — a Jewish character written by a Jewish creator and played by a Jewish actor — choosing to spend his last night on earth in his nice Shabbat clothes at a Shul with a giant Star of David on the wall.
