8 Beat Gag Returns, a manga featuring various ‘70s bands. Here’s Queen’s panel. I don’t know what this says, but it’s rather adorable. ;D

Sheesh, of all the things to get worked up over...
“One of the most notable postage stamps in the collection was one commemorating the life of Queen frontman (and avid stamp collector) Freddie Mercury. It caused controversy for the appearance of Roger Taylor in the background at the drums, as it is an understood rule that the only living people allowed to appear on British stamps could be members of the British Royal Family.”

Roger Taylor Interview with Johnnie Walker (2009)
How did Roger and Brian react when Freddie wanted to call the band Queen (1:45):
Roger: “Brian and I to be honest weren’t that sure, but Fred was so convinced. And he was very powerful, he was very driven, and he was sure about things once he made his mind up...And he said, ‘It’s got two e’s, it’s short! And it’s regal, dear!...Darlings, it’s regal!’ And we didn’t particularly want to be regal, but we sort of stuck with him because we sort of believed in what he believed if you know what I mean.” (I love the way he remembers Freddie calling them darlings :D)

From a December 2018 Batterie Magazine interview with Roger Taylor (It’s a French magazine; I bought the digital copy and used a bit of Google translate, lol):
“We do not realize what we have until we lose it. I feel [John Deacon’s] absence a lot when I’m in the studio. I really appreciate John’s incredible talent while re-listening to the old albums. His parts are always in good taste.”
“I had discussions with [Ben Hardy] to help him understand our history, my relationship with the other members. He is assured for someone who doesn’t play the drums.”
There’s more, you can purchase the print or digital copy here: https://batteriemagazine.com/roger-taylor-the-show-must-go-on/

“Do you find it hard to look at the band as a whole, or do you go straight to the drummers?”
“Oh no, I never look at the drummers, nobody looks at the drummers!”
Aw, that’s not true. ;D
