update on my situation:

done with the apartment as of tonight

still have a bunch to unpack at the house

got diagnosed with sleep apnea but am waiting for approval from my insurance about going in for some in lab stuff but when i'm on a cpap machine it should help with tiredness

got adderall dosage increase wahoo

all that to say, hoping things will calm down and i will have energy Soon.

one day soon all this moving stuff will be done and i can actually sit down and write.

hmm favorite memory is probably back in the very early days of the jurassic world fandom, when it was fairly small. everyone knew each other and there were so many dash-wide memes and shenanigans. particularly i remember the night we all discovered chuck tingle’s various stories including dinosaurs. it was an absolute riot on the dash. i remember staying up super late just to goof around (and it also introduced me to chuck tingle in general, an author i genuinely enjoy to this day. cannot recommend camp damascus enough.) 

we also had a group promo for all the owen gradys called “the grady bunch” which was just very fun and silly. all in all that fandom was a very good time.

his  leg  kicks  idly  where  it’s  thrown  over  the  edge  of  his  chair,  lounging  as  he  is  in  one  of  bruce’s  fancy  library  chairs.  one  of  the  downsides  of  living  out  of  safehoues  is  that  he  rarely  has  the  room  for  his  own  books.  usually,  he  just  borrows  them  from  the  local  library  but  he’d  been  in  the  neighborhood  stealing  equipment  from  the  batcave  already  so  he  figured  lurking  in  the  library  would  be  fine.  

glancing  down  at  his  book,  he  half-closes  it,  a  finger  holding  his  place.  “fan  of  the  genre  in  general.  i  like  the  complicated  themes  of  gothic  literature.”  nothing  is  sanitized  or  toned  down  as  he  finds  with    a  lot  of  modern  fiction.

His own lips tug upwards into a hesitant smile. Things have been better since Archie’s little ‘display of backbone’, as some might put it. He still doesn’t entirely know how to act around Jason, is afraid of stepping on his toes somehow and throwing them right back to where they started, but Archie is trying, and he thinks Jason might be, too. “I am.” It’s easy to agree, ducking his head as his smile spreads a little. He fiddles with the end of his loosened tie as a light dusting of pink colouring the tips of his ears.

Looking back up, his eyes catch on the book in the younger man’s hands. While he hadn’t planned on sticking around in the library, when he found Jason having made himself comfortable—had decided he would find a book and retreat to another room to read it, so as to not encroach on the other’s space—he can’t quite help the way he perks up and takes a step closer. “You’re a Brontë fan?”
