Characters being used as bait is one of my favorite whump, being caught between wanting rescue and hoping nobody shows up

Bonus points if they themselves got caught while keeping someone else out of harm’s way

FAVE TOUCH STARVED WHUMPEE THINGS! coming right up! there are so so many things i love here but here’s a handful of them:

the way it physically hurts. hurts in their body, the way their bones ache and they feel cold to their core and their skin feels too tight and wrong. they know what would fix it, how they would feel better, but they can’t acknowledge it. they can’t ask for this.

the shame. the SHAME of it all.

when touch starvation is combined with traumatic touch aversion. touch has been somehow turned into a dangerous and frightening and traumatic thing they had no choice in. but they still want and need this. they’re both equally powerful and so they need something that they fear. they need someone it’s safe to get it from, but how can they explain it? how can they explain that they need something that terrifies them but they still need it, and need help from the person they need it from to make it safe and okay?

when it’s so overwhelming they choke up and can barely speak when they finally get touch, causing the person touching them to be afraid they’re making things worse, going to pull away, and whumpee crying harder and hanging on tight.

skin contact. direct skin to skin touch - cupping whumpee’s face or neck, cuddling in little clothing, helping them bathe. the extra layer of intimacy and intensity to the touch being so direct.

whumpee feeling like they’re doing something wrong when they seek out touch or ask for it. they don’t deserve it, there’s something wrong with them for wanting it, they’re dirty or ruined in some way. the person they want it from, feel safe with, isn’t a romantic partner or a biological parent or someone else really socially accepted to want touch from.

the thing where people assume whumpee won’t want touch after what’s happened to them, or think because of their fear and flinching and shrinking in on themself that it’s too triggering. meanwhile whumpee thinks that no one WANTS to touch them. miscommunication abounds, heightening the eventual moment when whumpee is finally touched.

✨WELCOME to everyone who stumbles into my little blog✨

I'm writting a little story for myself with tropes and settings I enjoy but don't ser often for fun. If you want to tag along in my little journey feel free to leave a coment or write a suggestion for the story.

Here we Go then! Context time

Setting: Standard superhero world were some people have powers and some don't, super villains and super heros are at each others necks constantly and that frequently causes havoc in the city, there are power structures in place to regulate and prevent larger damadge made by super hero fights and an underground ranking sistem among the villain's to ensure that lower ranking villains don't go around messing things up for the more established supervillains.

We have two main caracters (for Now) that we are gonna follow

Hero (in training):

His civilian name is Edward

Age: 18

aka: Eddie for short

His hero name is The Hound

Has superstrenght and super hearing

Has a bright and warm personality, joined the young heros program to help support his mother and sibilings and is doing his best to learn how to be a great hero to help his city. (🐶Golden Retriever energy)

Sidekick (in training):

Her civilian name: Samantha

Age: 18

Her hero name: Black Bird

Has poison bite and wings

Aloof, not very talkative, gets the job done with cold and calculated precision, has been in training for a while now and failure is not an option. (🔪Will kill you If you look at her wrong way energy)

You are stuck in a time loop, but you have no intention of ever breaking out of it. After literally millions of resets a new person appears in the loop and asks you why you are still in the loop.

Ultimately I'm incredibly grateful my parents so readily accept and support us, because in my mind, it wasn't a given at all.
