coming back to this because i’ve seen a lot of people saying they don’t like the family in this show - and i can completely understand that !! i love the og films, addams family values has a very special place in my heart - and i’m not here to argue that this is a traditional interpretation of them, but i still enjoy it. i think people feel that there isn’t the same love between the family that we get in other versions, but to me, there very much is - it’s just being presented in a different way. morticia does still love wednesdsy dearly, that’s why she’s taking all these measures to keep her safe

there’s a lot to be said about adaptations and how far you can take a concept before it’s totally different that it’s source etc etc, and there definitely are aspects of wednesdsy that i wish leaned more into the feeling of the original addams family stories. but i still like this version and i still think it’s an interesting presentation of them

i really do love the presentation of the addams family in wednesday. gomez and morticia being so unapologetically in love and supportive of each other. gomez and pugsley being each other’s right hand man. wednesday looking out for pugsley even if she acts like she doesn’t care about him. morticia’s attempts to keep wednesday in line all coming from a place of genuine love and concern. fester always showing up and just going along with whatever people are scheming. they’re outcasts amongst the outcasts and they don’t care. because they’re confident in who they are, and because they have each other

hi!! i keep seeing talk about a body swap in wednesdsy s2 part2 and i was wondering where people were getting the info for that? it’s so interesting but i have no idea where it came from - @hervanitymirror

I think it started from an interview with a good bit of the cast “spoiling” the season but only with emojis! I think it was Emma who did “👯‍♀️🌲🔄” or something close to it! So people were theorizing the Skull Tree being responsible! But then I’m pretty sure some of them shot down this theory in another interview. But there’s been a few clips and stuff that made people believe it’s true! Honestly I’d rather have a Wednesday crash out instead of it being Enid being emotional in Wednesday’s body!

it’s interesting that spirit guide weems seems to be following wednesday around a lot more than goody addams did. maybe it’s because she’s been pushing her powers too far, now she needs a constant eye on her? or because she keeps getting in trouble in general? which makes it more ironic that it’s her principle who’s watching her now. also, speaking of which, if wednesday did technically die after being thrown from the window (before being resuscitated) then it’s interesting that any major events in regards to her guides are tied to her death - goody was lost saving her from dying, weems potentially appeared because she did/almost died…

sometimes i forgot that wednesdsy got stabbed. do any of her friends or family know she got stabbed? i know goody revived her but did it fully heal? did it leave a scar? now she’s not just been stabbed but been thrown out of a second story window. okay okay. yeah. i’m sure she’s doing totally fine
