SVU S3 E7- Sacrifice
An unidentified man is found shot and sexually assaulted in an alley outside of a gay bar. Detectives Benson and Stabler learn that the victim and his wife have a young daughter with cystic fibrosis and that they worked in the porn industry to pay for her medical bills. The lead witness, who is a recovering drug addict, angers Fin, causing him to re-think his police role.
8/10
Very early 2000s with the porn bad outlook. But hey sexual freedom will always be looked down upon by the state. Most of the time the unit actually causes more problems then they solve when they have a living victim. It's honestly getting hard to watch.

SVU S3 S6- Redemption
Detective Stabler is paired with John "Hawk" Hawkins, an unstable, "cowboy" cop, much to Benson's chagrin. They try to catch a serial rapist and murderer. Their suspect is a recently released prisoner, who was put in jail years ago due to Hawk. Alas, they come to deduce that not only is the predator someone else, but that the former prisoner is innocent of the previous murders, which means that Hawk was responsible for putting an innocent man behind bars.
6/10
Police incompetence at its finest. They put a severely mentally deficient man in prison for 18 yrs for crimes he didnt even commit! The fact that cops can lie to you and basically feed you information until you confess is horrible

SVU S3 E5- Tangled
A known doctor is killed and his wife is raped. Detectives Benson and Stabler question the doctor's estranged and troubled son from the doctor's previous marriage. They also locate a former patient who holds a grudge against the doctor. When the rapist then attacks the doctor's former mistress, the squad realizes that both the wife and the mistress know more than they let on.
7/10
Jesus can you imagine hating your wife so much that you make a plan with your mistress to have her raped? Honestly I think the moral of this story is that men are incompetent and cannot be trusted to plan or execute anything

SVU S3 E4- Rooftops
A series of rapes, each more violent than the previous, takes place in a community of African-Americans. Detectives Tutuola and Stabler promptly suspect a known HIV-positive sex offender who was recently released from jail, however he dies of an overdose and is found on a rooftop. The attacks continue and Detective Tutuola's childhood friends' daughter is killed. As they find nothing, her brother Rodney Thompson accuses the police of limiting the budget put on the case. Only when a fifth victim is killed, do her final moments alongside Thompson's persistence give them what they need to find the killer.

Finally! Someone actually acknowledged the racial disparity of NYC. Only took 3 seasons. Also finally got some Fin action which I ssssooo want more of. I want to see what Ice-T can do.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Morally grey, everyone did everything right and still there are horrible consequences. The kind of shit I eat up every single fucking time. Wonderfull! Keep them coming

SVU S3 E2- Wrath
Three unrelated people, who are connected to Detective Benson's past cases, are found ritualistically murdered. It turns out that the murderer is bent on revenge because he was previously arrested by Benson and spent years in prison for a crime he did not commit. When this is revealed, Benson is distraught with grief and feels that she has failed her most important duty. Despite the threat to her life, she obsesses over the case and sets out to make things right.
8/10
There we go! Thats the kind of shit I am looking for! Wrongful convictions, police brutality, which makes the monsters! This is the kind of thing I want everytime. So good

SVU S3 E1- Repression
When a therapist helps eighteen-year-old Megan Ramsey recall her childhood molestation by her father, she reports the incest to detectives Benson and Stabler hoping it would spare her younger sisters from suffering the same fate. At first her mother does not believe her, but eventually her entire family turns on the father, ignoring his protests that are assisted by the discovery of tainted evidence. The whole fragile family later becomes a suspect when the father is murdered. Eventually it is proven Megan is a virgin and the rape was a false memory planted by her therapist. Megan's sister confesses to accidentally killing her father and the police arrest the therapist and charge her with reckless endangerment.

B.D Huang they could never make me hate you! This was heartwrenching, because everyone involved was wrong but was so sure they were right.

SVU S2 E20- Pique
Observed by an FBI psychiatrist, George Huang, the detectives uncover a horrifying motive for the murder of a software company employee by a fired colleague when they learn of the disturbed suspect and his true relationship with his overbearing mother.
6/10
The fetus isn't a person and lawyers only make things worse, what a crazy world 2001 was. Oh how the political stage changes. We've also hit with another trope, overbearing mother is abusing her son and makes him a killer. Yawn... so boring.

SVU S2 E19- Parasite
When the remains of a young woman are found buried in an apartment courtyard with a collar and leash, Detectives Benson and Stabler determine that the dead woman is Ava Parulis, a Romanian immigrant who was brought to the United States for an arranged marriage. They discover from Ava's estranged twin, Irina, that the dead woman had left her abusive husband, and made a habit of taking advantage of wealthy suitors, but the investigation twists when the dental record of the remains uncover the dead woman's real identity.
7/10
The old twin sister stealing the other one identity and living her life trope. We are really going through all the TV trope gold this season aren't we. I really don't love the insinuating title "parasite" really makes ot seem like someone was using someone else for there own gain and I just didnt see that with this episode. She was trying to save her sister and it got out of hand.

SVU S2 E18- Manhunt
When the details of a kidnapping reveal similarities with a series of previous rapes and murders, Munch and Fin find themselves tracking down a serial killer. The killer proves exceedingly clever when he takes advantage of the trust that his partner has in him and exploits Canadian extradition law.
7/10
Canada mentioned! Thank god the show didnt try to pull a "capital punishment is bad thing". In real life I don't support the death penalty but in fiction I really, really do. Because in fiction you always know that they actually did it. Honestly it was the first episode in a while where I didn't feel like I was being preached some underground morals.

SVU S2 E17- Folly
The beating of a young man uncovers a dangerous male escort service where the boss may have reasons for sending her staff on potentially deadly dates.
5/10
Maybe I just watch to many of these types of shows but a high powered escorts service turned deadly? That just feels cliche. Maybe it wasn't tho in 2000 when this episode original aired. Whatever boring....

SVU S2 E16- Runaways
The search for a police officer's runaway daughter, which leads the detectives through an underground rave culture that caters to wayward teens, is seen through the eyes of the squad room personnel and their interviews with the Internal Affairs division. SVU employs the help of informant Tito Frank and Monique Jeffries who returns in her final appearance to help her former colleagues find the missing girl. Darrell Hammond guest stars as shady lawyer, Ted Bolger.
7/10
"I'll be your boy John" Finally the funniest line in SVU so far. You cab really tell that this aired out of order, while Fin is hilarious he is a completely different person then he has been up to this point. I think this episode really pushes the teens a scary thing that they had going on in the 2000s which checks out I guess.

SVU S2 E15- Countdown
The detectives work around the clock to find an abducted girl when clues point to a serial killer who kills his victims after three days, and follows a very specific pattern: during the three days the man has a "Party Day", a "Picture Day", and finally a "Special Day" on which the victims are raped and murdered. The investigation is assisted by the killer's last victim, who escaped.
7/10
Spicy! Sassy and exhausted group of detectives. I can see why tho. Again and again this show shines light on the general injustice of the justice system. It fucks with people that don't deserve it and makes deals with rapists and murderers. Makes for compelling television but a depressing reality that we are all stuck in. I am happybyhat they didnt just murder the last little girl to prove some point tho.

SVU S2 E14- Paranoia
The rape of a veteran police officer, who trained Benson, is first linked to her ex-husband's gambling debts and then to her fellow officers
6/10
I understand the idea that there really isn't any justice in some cases. But it is just like getting punched in the mouth everytime. Like just give us a win please. It also really isn't helping the shows copaganda arm when every other cop they encounter is an idiot or a rat, not that I want the copaganda to win. Alas the episode was just mid

SVU S2 E13- Victims
A former police officer, now a community activist, is a suspect in the murders of known sex offenders, all of whom share a certain characteristic that scars their victims for life. One of them attempts suicide, leaving Stabler in a potentially life-threatening situation.
6/10
When the episode aired the world was not far off from the height of the HIV epidemic, so I understand the fear. But this really plays into the "only bad people have AIDs" trope, which does not age well. I do like that the watcher really has no idea who did it until the verry end tho.

SVU S2 E12- Secrets
A case involving the rape and murder of a teacher hits a snag after the woman's sex addiction is exposed by one of her students.
5/10
Even after everything we have already seen, it's a punch in the gut when people can't see past a person's sex life. This women was a dedicated teacher who needed help. I guess this is what passes for "woke" in the early 2000s, but the ends of these episodes always give me the feeling that the lesson is to not be a slut.
