Got tired of payin’ corpos for business cards, so I made my own

Playing around in the dark to make some extras for fundraiser sticker packs ✨ (There’s an update at gofund.me/79ba9321 with all of the details)

Reversed out these black tees, added a split ice dye of turquoise + magenta, and then screen printed some dizzy hummingbirds on ‘em! 😵‍💫✨💫

The first one was bleached with regular household bleach & the second with OWB laundry whitening powder. It’s nifty how differently the ice dyed colors ended up incorporating. 🧊🔥

Once upon a time, it was the 90s and I was a kid. My mom married a cool, kind disabled Navy veteran. They were both in their mid 30s. His name was Kevin and he let me cover him with Lisa Frank stickers and call him “dad”. Life was good. 😊

Skip forward a couple of decades. Both of them have passed away in the past year and a half. My mom first, and then the man who stepped up to act as my father.

Next month in August, I want my little family - myself, my husband and son - to take a trip to Eastern Montana. To visit the place where my husband and I grew up - to hunt agates on the river and walk in the wild prairie fields where we played as children - to visit beloved friends, and to pay homage to the people who raised me.

Spent the whole morning screen printing and my hands are sore, but my heart’s never been fuller. Each shirt is a one-of-a-kind piece, reverse tie dyed & printed with love.
