Before I became sick, I spent my everyday life aimlessly.  I didn’t have an identity. This disease took so many things away from me. I was scared when I looked at the things that were taken away. But, this disease didn’t only give me suffering and despair. I’ve learned about the warmth of people. I can be open with my family and tell them what I want now. I can believe in love. I like myself a little more now. It made me realize the happiness that I have.

One moment you're here, the next I have to say goodbye.
It's unfair, it's painful, confusing
How your beautiful eyes, your smile, the way you were keeps flashing in my mind makes it even harder
My heart hurts
Wish you didn't felt that pain
Wish you weren't alone
Wish you were here♡
But please, Rest Well now.
Wait for us

Rest in peace, Haruma Miura
I’ve been quite quiet on this site for a while, but wanted to take a moment to honor the memory of Haruma Miura, who passed away earlier today in his apartment. Haruma Miura had been active as an actor since the age of 7 and starred in several dramas throughout his career, such as Koizora, Kimi ni Todoke, Boku no Ita Jikan, You Taught Me All the Precious Things, Gokusen 3, Never Let Me Go, The Eternal Zero, Two Weeks, and many more.

Miura-san, you were truly an amazing actor. To simply act like a character was never enough. You embodied each role like it was your life. Your portrayal of Kazehaya was one of my earliest experiences with J-dramas and is by far one of my top favorite romance movies still. To this day I tell people that if they want an honest to goodness live action adaption of a manga, they should watch Kimi ni Todoke. Little has lived up to the perfection that is casting you as Kazehaya.
You’ve made me cry, laugh, and rejoice so many times, in so many ways. You put your all in each and every character, from a playboy BMX rider in Last Cinderella, to a skilled teenage hacker in Bloody Monday, to a drag queen in Japan’s production of Kinky Boots. You were versatile, passionate, and extremely well-crafted in your work. To be gone at the age of 30 is truly a tragedy, but the performances you have given have been a blessing to me and so many others.
We will miss you, we will not forget you, and I pray you have found peace.
– River
PS: Haruma Miura announced the release of his second single “Night Diver” earlier this year. It will be released posthumously in August. For now, please listen to his first single released last year, “Fight For Your Heart”. It is truly a masterpiece.
