Thirkuir’s Diary: 8th Entry

Oh to be a red dragonborn meeting a red dragon for the first time and it goes like this. And just when things were looking up!

Kuir's Diaries are officially longer than Scales (which I would not read if you don't want to spoil his romance), which is neat. I wonder how far we'll go.

During fight with servant of House Kannith, they said activation phrase, turning Violine into mindless warforged machine following orders. When it was over, leader of our Detective agency, Kamiel, asked Violine to read those words aloud to herself, so noone could ever force Violine to do things she doesn't want

As a DM, I had an inner conflict in me when I was preparing my WDDH module. Xanathar is described as hysterical and paranoid, he's also an eyeball with eyeballs, in other words - he's laughable. I wanted him to be threatening, menacing, posing as a Mafia Boss that he is, maybe not the most competent one, but quite capable to form a criminal guild and kill five other beholders threatening his authority (therefore the teardrops tats).

I drew this picture, and it was a great middle ground for me - the tattoos balanced his goofy identity but still gave off menacing vibes. The book and the hookah are traditionally depicted with him as well.

I'm proud to say my players loved the eccentric mafia boss!

There's been talks with one of my DMs to maybe start a TTRPG game of Starfinder... and I got a bit excited... so I already created my character! (for that theoretical game, lol)

December’s Illustration from My D&D Pirate Pin-up Calendar

My final gift to my friends was a drawing of the entire 18-person crew + 4 guests. It took ages but I'm so happy with how it turned out, and my group liked it very much.

Wrap-up of the pin-up calendar I made as a surprise gift for my dnd group featuring the characters from our ongoing pirate campaign. It was hard keeping it a secret from them, but the reveal was worthwhile!
