So, originally I was going to keep Sehun and Kai both, and only drop Suho...but I've thought about it all day long and tbh I have almost no interest in roleplaying anymore, I used to get super excited about coming to IA and reading all the posts, and now I just have very little enthusiasm for it; I still care about my characters and it's nothing against anyone or anything here it's just a general feeling that's been spread for a long time. Even after the hiatus, usually that makes me miss everything...but not this time. So in the interest of it possibly just being a phase, I'm keeping Kai in IA but I'm removing my other two. Sehun will also be an indie now should anyone wish to continue plots with him/plot anything further. It's sad that I just passed his one year anniversary, but it's been a long time coming. I'll miss some of the plots and dynamic with some characters on this account but c'est la vie.

Listening to the reasoning behind all the medicines brought a quiet snort from the genie. "Ah, more of a drug manufacturer than a drug dealer, got it," he said with his usual air of passing amusement. "So why in the world would you go from working in hospitals and labs to returning to school?" he asked with a lifted brow, though he knew a good number of the students in the academy had already had different jobs and more of a life before, but for the life of him he couldn't understand why some of them would give it up to return to a school. As it was, sometimes he wasn't sure why he himself had decided to return, other than a lack of anywhere else to go.
When he caught the small bottle that was tossed in his direction, his gaze caught onto it curiously, but didn't say anything before he glanced away again when the other spoke. A quiet laugh left the genie at the words of feigned disappointment, knowing that he didn't plan on taking Jongin seriously, and was glad Jamie didn't either. "Well, I could always give you a kiss and buy you coffee for the next three days instead," he offered, though he was still only halfway serious, "Though then Jongin would be too pleased and I don't know if we can have that."
"So is this going to put him in a catatonic state or just make him shut up for like an hour?" he asked, referencing the bottle in his hand again. It wasn't as though he was worried about it, truthfully, but he was curious. And, truthfully, he was attempting to continue and distract himself with anything other than noticing how attractive Jamie was.

Listening to the information about the teacher was strange, it was enlightening to know something so personal about the teacher and his past, but it was welcome to know. Of course, that didn't change that Sehun really wasn't sure how to properly console someone who was grieving seeing as he'd never exactly been good with emotions in the first place. "...I'm so sorry," he offered, wishing that something he could do would make Mr. Key feel better, but he knew that it wasn't as easy as any of that. There was nothing that could be said about the loss of a child, especially since Sehun had never had any connection of the familial kind.
"How long ago did this happen?" he asked instead, as he had no words that would make him feel any better. "People are cruel, no matter how long they live or what they believe in," he offered instead, knowing that he was speaking in some ways from experience as well as his own jaded nature that didn't allow for much forgiveness on the nature of people. Though thankfully it seemed as though the other wasn't in the mood to forgive either.
"Sorry, I'm not trying to make you feel worse," he corrected at the criticism of not treating him like a child. "I just don't know how to make you feel any better about this. I'm just sorry it happened," the genie bit his bottom lip softly, his gaze wandering toward the water before them.

It was a strange, in a way, that Sehun tended to dislike being around people and being forced into social situations, and yet he frequently found himself going to different bars and clubs. Perhaps it was something to do with simply liking the energy of places and those in his surroundings and yet still not wanting to actually interact with them. At least not until he'd had enough to drink. On that particular night, he was more than just a little buzzed, a sense of calmness spread through him that he always seemed to desire and yet almost never had.
The genie stood at the edge of people, sipping his drink calmly and swaying only slightly to the beat of the music that threaded through the club. It wasn't long before he felt someone's hand on his back, and with a glance toward the direction of the voice that reached him, a slight smile twitched at his lips. The other wasn't familiar, but he was certainly attractive. And while most of the time Sehun would just push him away and decline the offer, for some reason he didn't want to this time -- which he blamed on the alcohol, and the fact that he had a bit of a weakness for accents.
"Sure," he agreed with a shrug, setting the nearly empty glass down on the nearest surface. The alcohol made him a lot less awkward than he normally was, a bit more social and more relaxed. Normally someone who was so attractive would make him more shy, but that didn't seem to be the case this time. Taking the other's hand, he pulled him further into the throng of people until finding a suitable area before turning to face him again, beginning to move to the beat once more. "I'm Sehun," he introduced, leaning close to the other's ear so he could be heard above the music, "And you are?"
The Morning After || Enrique & Sehun
When you lived for more than a century, you often got tired of the taste of many things. He got tired of his favorite foods every few years or so, but alcohol wasn’t the same way. It always tasted good, though he was pretty sure that was the acetate in his blood talking. His liver should have been shit ages ago, but armed with naturally strong biology and a little science smarts, Enrique was pretty good at managing his hang-overs. For ever shot, he was sure to have drank twice as much water already. So, take that times ten and that made a gallon? Or was it two? In full truth, the Veela was too drunk to do the math anymore — which meant it was time to dance.
Despite being inebriated, the man was fairly coordinated, the throngs of bodies helping to keep him up right even when his vision crossed. The music was loud enough for Enrique’s heart to find the beat, which in turn made it easy to move along with it. He swayed in time with the song blaring over the speaker, lapping up the atmosphere and flashing lights like their own sort of mood cocktail. He loved nights like this: ones where the passion rolled off the other club goers in waves, and he was no different. Typically he kept a cap on his pheromones, but at the moment the teacher wouldn’t tell you the difference between a pheromone and a phospholipid and that’s just how he liked it.
It didn’t take him long to notice a slender, blonde in the crowd. There was a similar off beat air to him that matched his own. Spotting other non-humans was a sense he had developed over the years, and it immediately drew one immortal to another presumed immortal. It never even occurred to him that a young mystic was likely in town for the same reason he was — for Insolitus. All he thought about was getting closer to boy, gently laying a hand on the small of his back to get his attention.
"Hey, do you want to dance?" he shouted over the music, voice accented and filled with aphrodisiac.

When Jamie had been speaking with Jongin and he both, of course he'd seen him smile, and he'd already thought it was an incredibly pretty sight, but being alone with him and seeing the other smile brought a different knotting feeling to his stomach that he attempted to ignore. "No, things are easier when he talks all the time," he agreed, glancing around the room after he'd quietly closed the door behind himself. He observed as Jamie seemed to be a bit lost in the different bottles in the room, curiosity ghosting over Sehun's features, though he quickly slipped back into his usual indifferent mask.
"I just wasn't in the mood to get that drunk tonight," he offered, knowing that normally the other would have been quite right and he would have been just as stupid drunk. Well, truthfully, no one did stupid drunk like Jongin, but he supposed normally he wouldn't have been nearly so sober as well, "I don't like the feeling of falling all over myself...or other people," he shrugged, referencing the way the vampire had been all but snuggling into Jamie in the common room, amusement still traced in his voice.
"What are all of those?" he asked finally, head tilting to examine the variety of items the other seemed to be contemplating. "Let me guess, local drug dealer or you're secretly dying so you have to keep a stash?" he questioned, his gaze only returning to Jamie himself when he felt eyes on him, seemingly sizing him up for some reason that made the knot tighten even more. "Well, he's an idiot. His suggestions came in the form of 'suck his dick' and 'let him spank you,'" he shrugged, clearly at a loss of what to do with his friend, though the amusement was still very much present in his tone.

Of course, when the door opened, he glanced up and slipped the phone back into his pocket. He cursed a little mentally that the other was actually as attractive as the photo had shown. "Hey, I'm Sehun," he greeted, almost relieved that Zitao was as awkward as he was. It made him feel not as alone at least, even if it would surely make things a little odd. But he tried to stifle that feeling, and tilted his head when the other seemed to almost take back the invitation, though he thought that perhaps it was just a way of feeling less awkward.
"No, come on, this should be fun," he shrugged and gestured for the other to come with him, giving a light tug on his arm. "Sorry, I'm just a little nervous about meeting people usually," he admitted, "but it's kind of wild we both go here." Conversation was certainly not the genie's strong suit, but he didn't want either of them to feel completely uncomfortable. "So I mean, considering this school, can I ask what you are then?"
"You're cute in person though, I was wondering since y'know, most people online only look good in the pictures they post since it's just the right angle and the right photoshop and everything," he snorted softly.

"Yeah, cannabis," he confirmed with a slight shrug, "I'm fine." It was clear that Mr. Key was in a far worse position than he was, though the snow elf's concern was still appreciated even if it was slightly misplaced considering how drunk he was. When the wish was granted, the genie's blood still tingling with the feeling of the magic that coursed through him, he watched the other closely. He had seen Mr. Key already in a position he wasn't likely to appreciate a student seeing him in, when he was sick from the moon and practically helpless. But thankfully the genie didn't make a big deal of that, either, besides his worry of course.
When the bottle was handed to him, the genie took it without a word and took a drink, humming a little afterword as he heard the other's words that he couldn't disagree with, really. "It's strange, but good," he said and took another drink before handing it back, waving away the words of trying not to offend him. "That's really all magic is, a recreation that can never compare with something real," the words rang more true to many things than he would care to consciously admit, considering he himself was made of magic.
But as the teacher began to speak, Sehun tilted his head and watched him questioningly. "Who was she? Who are 'they?'" he asked, his tone delicate at the questioning, not quite sure what the other was talking about. Not in its entirety, at least. Of course, it was clear he was talking of death and perhaps a family, but he blamed it on the wine that made Mr. Key a little flighty in his words. However, the moon part he understood, to an extent. "Maybe it's like she wants to make sure you're okay...but she wants you to be able to not rely on her all the time and stand for yourself? So she doesn't let you get to close or too far," he offered, personifying the moon to suit the teacher.

Sehun was unable to suppress a groan at the thump to his back, he knew it was nothing serious, that wasn't what worried him. It was a few different things, of course, one of which was that he was far too anxious of a person to be okay with this, and the other being that he wasn't sure when the magic was going to wear off. So as they stood in line, when people were distracted by the disappointment of the contestant, he switched back to normal enough for the magic to reset before once again changing into costume. It was tiring, that much he could already see, and hoped that this little game would be done.
Being chosen as the bachelor, however, made the genie once again regret the whole thing. (Not to mention the awkward possibility of if he ended up choosing Minwoo, what would Mr. Asshole Fiance do even if it was just a game?) Sehun avoided actually looking at the crowd when he was pushed into his seat, and instead focused on the announcer. "Uh, I'm fine," he shrugged, though his mind was reeling with what the hell someone was supposed to ask at these things.
"Well...I don't like crowds, that's all you need to know," he half-laughed before thinking of his question for a split second. "Um, if you could be an ice cream flavor, what would you be?" It was strange, it made little sense, but oh well, he supposed it could be entertaining. When one of the voices, female, spoke up proclaiming praline pecan, he grimaced. Gross.

For Sehun, of course, magic was natural. It was part of his everyday life and it's what brought him to life, so he never had much of any struggle in the charms and enchantments class. Of course it helped that he liked the teacher, and Mr. Key favored him as well, but he knew that both of those were mostly based on the fact that he did work so hard on his magic. And most of the time, he didn't bother to pay much attention to other students, as Sehun was by no means comfortable around most people and therefore kept his distance a great deal of the time.
However, one of the new students seemed particularly lost, and Sehun couldn't help but notice. Though the genie wasn't very good at making friends, he didn't think this applied as the other seemed purely helpless, so he assumed that perhaps it couldn't be that bad. He knew that at least in magic he could be quite useful. So when the class ended, he stood and scooped his things into his bag and glanced toward the new student.
Ignoring the anxious twist in his stomach that always came with talking to people he didn't know, he followed after him. "Yo," he called at the door, tapping the student on the shoulder, "Are you okay? No offense but you kind of look insanely lost in this class." His words weren't all that friendly, he supposed, but then again, one couldn't expect Sehun to be all that nice.
Teach Me | Sehun and Yongguk
Yongguk had never considered himself bad at magic. Once he had worked in a little shop making charms under the supervision of a fairly powerful High Elf, but in truth that was more like once upon a time. It had been almost a hundred years since then, and magic didn’t do him much good in the human world. Truthfully, the Elf wanted little more than to leave his roots behind him in any way he could, but that wasn’t an option. Sometimes life gave you lemons, and other times it gave you stalkers, one resulting in a delicious drink; the other, in a legitimate need to build self-defense.
Still, the Elf knew that old dogs couldn’t be taught new tricks and he wasn’t sure how well the faired in relearning old tricks, but the outlook wasn’t currently all that bright. An entire week of classes and Yongguk had barely been able to keep up. Of course, jumping into the curriculum in the middle of it probably didn’t help matters, but Yongguk’s magic simply didn’t seem to be flowing. He had always been driven by emotion when he had been at his height, and there was no passion to be found in the pages of a text book or hour long lectures on how to cast spell. Yongguk was the sort who needed to learn with his hands, but not even that seemed to work.
Perhaps he really had been pretending to be powerless long enough that he had lost them altogether. If that was the case, his days were numbered, and he certainly didn’t plan on spending them after hours in a classroom, no matter how inviting the teacher. Thus, the moment the end of class was announced the musician was on his feet, bag slung over his shoulder and making a beeline for the door. He was no academic, this was not his element, and the unit test next class was not a promising endeavor.

Sehun had never exactly been good with people, and even less so when they were someone he didn't know at all and was expected to actually talk to. He took his time blowdrying his hair out and making sure it looked messy enough to seem like he didn't try but not enough that he looked sloppy. The genie only spent a moment on his clothing, trying not to think too much about things for the sake of feeling like if he put in too much effort then it would be too obvious for something that was just supposed to be friends. Wasn't it?
Slipping on his favorite pair of skinny jeans and a white sweater that made him feel more comfortable than anything, he slipped out of the room to head for the other's dorm. It was strange that he'd just suddenly found someone on tumblr that went to his school, even more strange that he'd agreed to actually meet him that same night. A pang of anxiety resounded in his stomach as he stepped into the Luna dorm, but he pushed it away, though he regretted that he hadn't gotten high before coming anyway.
He glanced at the message again, reassuring himself of which dorm it was before he glanced at the door. Before he could actually back out of it, he raised a hand to knock on the door, glancing down at his phone so he wouldn't have to look at the other when/if the door opened.

Sehun was frankly not sure what to make of the entire situation with Jamie. On the one hand, of course, he was thoroughly embarrassed by Jongin's actions, even if Jamie didn't seem all that bothered by it in the end; but on the other hand, he was nervous about his own interaction with the other. It was no secret that the genie was incredibly bad with people and social situations anyway, but even less so because he hadn't expected Jamie to pay much attention to him or ask him to return for the medicine for Jongin. Because more than anything, he had noticed how incredibly pretty the other was, and pretty people tended to make Sehun even more nervous. And he'd indicated that he may have thought that he was pretty, and he even less knew how to deal with that.
As he half-dragged Jongin to his dorm, he was plagued with the other trying to cling to him and making jokes about kissing Jamie the whole time. "I mean why not, you're going to his room, right? Suck his dick," was the comment that came as Sehun had finally managed to push him into his room. "Oh wait...you're not very good at blowjobs are you? Offer to let him spank you," came another drunken laugh.
"Would you please," the genie grumbled, the vampire's words making him more uncomfortable than he would have otherwise been. "I'm not going to do anything, just get in bed and have a little quiet time."
A groan came when Jongin stumbled taking his pants off, though Sehun reached out to help him balance enough to get undressed and crawl into the bed. One of his dogs hopped onto the bed, curling against him with a wagging tail. "Will you be back? You can cuddle with me," he offered, though the words were muffled as he kissed the dog.
"We'll see," he simply said and left, shutting the door behind him. Of course, the one good thing about Jongin being around is that he didn't have time to get nervous, but the short distance between there and the other dorm provided enough time to make him again unsure. He didn't know very well how to deal with people by himself, especially, as most of the time he didn't seek out company. And when he was with Jongin, he could easily let the other take over as he was usually the one who garnered the most attention anyway. When he reached the dorm that had been called out to him, he knocked quietly, and when the door opened he made a simple observation, though punctuated with a slight twitch to his lips, "It's amazing how quiet everything is when he's not around."

When the other moved away from him a bit, Sehun was far more relieved than he should have been. He knew that he was a bit of a prude, that he wasn't as 'fun' as other people he knew, but he couldn't make himself be any different with those he wasn't comfortable around. And there was something about the fairy that simply didn't sit well with the genie, though it wasn't as though he were afraid of him or wary of him, it was just that Sehun really didn't like many people, and there was something inherently annoying about clingy people to him.
Sungyeol's words contrasted clearly with his actions, and Sehun couldn't help but sigh as the other ended up pouring alcohol all over the table. Even worse than clingy people were those who seemed to need a parent to help with all of their issues, to make sure they didn't hurt themselves or someone else. For Sehun, going out was a way of relaxing more than anything, and yet clearly the other wasn't going to let him have that. As soon as the thought occurred to him, he heard the unmistakable sound of someone falling down.
Another sigh, and Sehun left him for a moment to draw out his phone and call a cab. As much as he wanted to just let him lay there and not care what happened to him, he couldn't bring himself to do that, so after calling the company he paid one of the bouncers in the club to help him get Sungyeol out to the waiting taxi when it arrived. Once they were in the back seat, Sehun prodded the other to try and get him to wake up. "I don't know what dorm you're in, wake up," he grumbled.
