Soft Launch Announcement!

There’s a new Tumblr on the block and it is @academiapalettes!!

AcademiaPalettes (AP) is where you will now find all recolors and creations using the Historian and Scientist palettes. tl;dr: AP is currently posting 50 posts per day from the original HistorianSims tumblr which will soon be archived. Only follow right now if you are okay with your dash being filled with nonstop Historian reblogs. Official launch on Sunday, April 25. Why is this a “Soft Launch”?

Mainly because it’s not quite ready to go fully public yet. I am currently in the process of reblogging everything from @historiansims (HS) over to the new tumblr and I’ve got the queue going at FIFTY posts per day. Guys. Seriously. I wasn’t aware until this moment just how much has been recolored in the Historian Palette! 

Everything from HS is queued up and ready to post and the queue is scheduled to run out on Saturday evening (EDT).

After that we will announce the launch officially and move to a normal posting schedule of just a few posts per day. We will also immediately start reblogging all the amazing new work that has come out over the last couple of weeks that hasn’t gotten a chance to shine yet due to the move.

Reminders will be sent from both here and HS for the following few weeks until we officially archive HS.

Why are we moving?

There are many reasons for the move but the main being that @historiansims was a sideblog for me and one I ran all by myself. While I have been insanely happy to see how the community has embraced Historian, and now Scientist, keeping up with reblogs and maintenance has become too much for one person. Especially as I continue to work through issues in my real life that take priority.

The new AP Tumblr is a place that will be jointly run by myself and our Moderators so that when someone needs to take a break or go on vacation or whatever the cause may be, there will be others there to help keep it up. 

See you all on Sunday for the official announcement! Thank you to all of our creators for their patience in reblogging as we work through this move and redesign.

Aram Top

Recolors of @wistfulpoltergeist ‘s Occult Top in 18 shades from @serindipitysims ‘s The Historian palette.

The original top reminded me of men’s Armenian traditional clothing so I gave it an Armenian name! It could probably work for a variety of cultures around the world, though, or a fantasy setting.
