Permits and Fees for Upper Mustang Trek
Area Type:
The Upper Mustang region is classified as a restricted area, and much of the region, including its trekking trails, also lies within the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). Foreigners are required to obtain a Restricted Area Permit in addition to an ACAP entry permit to trek in Upper Mustang.

Permits and Fees:
Upper Mustang Restricted Area Permit for all foreigners: USD500 per person for the first 10 days and USD50 per person per day thereafter.
ACAP entry permit fee for foreigners: NRs. 3,000 (Approx. USD30) ACAP entry permit fee for SAARC nationals: NRs. 200
Where to get the permit:
Kathmandu: Permits can be purchased in the Nepal Tourism Board Office on Pradarshani Marg, Kathmandu, Tel: (+977) 1 4256909.
If you book with a trekking agency they will arrange these for you.
